Azdak: Male 35. I've been slightly lightheaded due to the hypocaloric diet and more intense work out these last few days. I was doing the abdominal routine from the coach, which is standard but new for me. Exercises such as plank, mountain climber, cycling, crunches, etc. No asthma, breath-holding or isometric movement. No…

No use seeing a doctor. Along my years at the gym I saw a cardiologist and did many, many tests. Always came back negative. Let's say he's a bit fed up with me. So I'm not doing it again but I guess I need to adjust my intensity.

How is that a restriction when you can eat absolutely everything? It doesn't make any sense. You're mistaking dietary restriction (excluding food based on its kind, which I never encouraged) with buying selection (applying other criteria, such as overall quality, to choose among variations of the same kind of food). Like…

So that got interesting and I appreciate the positive criticism. Sorry to OP for derailing the thread with these messages, but I'd like to answer. That's interesting. If I understand correctly, the guy tracked his calories while eating mostly junk food. However, there's nothing special in the method he calls CICO. He's…

So you're calling me out on not being scientific enough, but your only evidence is personal anecdote? Alright. I never said to restrict any kind of food, or to do anything special. You're imagining this. I just said to fill up on vegs & fruits to have a healthier diet (which seemed part of the question). Read the first…

Care to ellaborate? I can understand if you think that's useless, not how it's wrong..

From what I understand, the question isn't only increasing calories. But limiting the bad calories (like junk food) by finding alternatives, and being generally healthier so that the exercise is profitable. Yes, I didn't go into details because the gist of my answer can be applied to many different diets and life styles. I…

For your exercise to pay off, there's no way around it: your food should consist mainly of vegetables and fruits. Your plate should be at least 50% vegetables, by weight. That way you can eat plenty of low calorie food and feel super good. Of course you'll have a portion of meat for proteins and grains for carbs. But even…

I think a cheat meal is better than a whole day, so that you don't lose progress. Nutritionists say a cheat meal once a week (of which you don't count the calories) totally helps you to lose weight. The reason is that when your body is constantly famished, it's going to start storing more fat (than usual, in proportion)…

Not especially, but they're cheap and low calorie! Thanks :D

Well that's sad. I'd have sincerely liked to hear opposite arguments. Might learn something new. Not really... I made the stew a week ago and just heat a portion every day. The can of green veggies lasts 2 or 3 days. For such a meal, I only have to cook new pasta or rice.

You can also talk to me directly. I did say that my macros are balanced within 2 or 3% every single day. Also, when you said the plate was unbalanced, I hadn't written that message yet. So that's certainly not why you said it. The macros for that plate are 40/30/30 (which is high enough in protein for most of the day), and…

Thanks :)

I do get my macros balanced at the end of the day, but not on every meal (more carbs for breakfast, more proteins and fat for lunch). I'd like to know why this plate is unbalanced though.

That's great! I do have a little cheat meal every week.

@quiksylver296 Thanks! Well it does make me happy at the moment because I'm learning nutrition and losing weight. Just have to buckle in for a while. @TavistockToad 818 kcal, Carbs: 40%, Fat: 31%, Protein: 29% I use cereal in the morning mostly for carbs, lunch mostly for proteins, and diner to adjust the last few…

Yes I started 3 weeks ago. Sometimes my weight doesn't change for a few days, and sometimes the scale drops a whole kilogram overnight. I hoped a diagnostic scale would be more consistent than the cheap ones. Hopefully it's alright for longer periods. For example this is the last week: There's a big drop in the last few…
