Hey everybody! I haven’t checked the thread in a month and wow, so many new people. Welcome everybody! I’ve tried to add you all, but if I missed you feel free to add me as a friend. I don’t post here often, but I’m active posting, tracking and sharing pretty pics of my wonderful walks at the beach and pretty parks! Hope…

Good morning! 😃

Hey Steph, It’s just myself and my college age daughter at home. She tends to eat a lot of fast food, so I end up cooking just for myself most of the time.

Hi Debi, fruits, veggies, whole grains, legumes are healthy carbs, and As Cathi said, just track your calorie intake and make sure that you’re consuming the needed calories to meet whatever goals you have. You’ll do great!

I generally have meals I want to make during the week and shop accordingly. I save the meals that require more time to prepare for when I’m not working and make extra. I don’t really preplan, but I think about my day in the morning, and then have an idea of what I want to have for the day.

Good morning, happy March! Hope everyone is doing well!

My goal is to remain WFPB. Omitted dairy Feb 1, and currently minimal oil & processed. No meat in 4 years.

Hope everyone’s having a good week so far. No snow on the coast, just some rainy days and colder temps. It’s suppose to be 70 tomorrow, so that’ll be great. 😊

It’s a rainy dreary day here in NC. I managed to get out and get a walk in between raindrops. Got some grocery shopping done and some things at home. Still trying to rest and recover from a cold that doesn’t want to go away, and finally broke down and bought some cough medicine today.

I follow a whole food plant-based diet- no meat, fish, eggs. Once I commit to removing dairy and processed food, all cravings disappear and I never feel deprived.

Congrats! 🎉😁

Turmeric as well as omitting dairy and incorporating a plant based diet are helpful with autoimmune disease & inflamation. https://nutritionfacts.org/topics/turmeric/

I’ve been sick for the past few weeks and started barking coughing a week ago, BUT I exercised everyday and ate healthy. Hopefully this week will bring complete healing. 🙏🏻❤️
-
Yes they do! There’s also a bunch of documentaries. Are you WFPB or vegan?
-
Whole Food Plant Based. I’ve been vegetarian on and off my whole life, but lately I’ve had a lot of issues with inflammation and hives and I knew I needed to cut out dairy and as much processed food as possible. I actually really feel best when I’m eating plant-based: Fruits, veggies, whole grains, legumes, & nuts…

It definitely does! I live so close and don’t go nearly enough. Trying to get a few walks in this week. ☀️ Thank you, yes I am. I don’t take it for granted. I am very grateful. 🙏🏻 ❤️ 😊

Great! 😊

I agree. I’m working towards sticking with WFPB and it definitely helps to crowd out the processed with fruits, veggies, whole grains, legumes. Fiber fills you up! 😊

Hi! Not sure how long this group has been around, but I’m joining in! Hope y’all had a great day! 😊
-
Happy Tuesday everyone! I’m feeling better and so thankful for a walk at the beach! ☀️ 🌊 💕

I guess it all depends on how much protein you think you need. I get plenty without eating meat, fish, eggs, dairy. 😊
-
Beans, nuts, veggies..
-
Yeah, I don’t eat meat or fish. I’ve struggled a bit with dairy & sugar but really want to keep those out, as well as processed foods. Fruit, veggies, whole grains, legumes and some nuts.

I’m so thankful I got out for a walk this beautiful morning. Ready to get back into regular exercise!
-
Thank you, hope you do as well!
-
If you don’t mind me asking, what made you stop?
-
Hi Melissa, congrats!
-
I’m hoping to get back into a regular exercising routine next week..maybe even tomorrow if I can shake this cold. The cough makes it challenging. Beautiful weather coming next week, 60’s & 70’s and Ive got a couple days off for beach walks! ☀️ 🌊 Just curious, does anyone else in this group maintain a WFPB or Vegan diet?

Hello! Currently trying to see food differently instead of just eating mindlessly. I want to nourish my body consistently, and stop the cycle of lose 20, gain it back. I’m 55 and would love to lose 50lbs. I’m working towards a completely WFPB diet. Processed foods, sugar & dairy sabotage my efforts, so I’m giving them a…
