  • February 1st went well! (1) WORK - I got a lot of work done (not all but enough) (2) MOVEMENT - I played 2 hours of pickleball! (3) FOOD - I could have made a better choice at lunch (I had spring rolls and a sausage roll -- not a great idea!) (4) ALCOHOL - ZERO ! Challenges - need to meal prep and try to get in more steps!
  • Here we are at week one! The last time I weighed myself I weighed in at 248.6 pounds. That’s almost a 15 pound loss for me since I started this journey back in November. I am hoping to lose at least 1 pound Before our next weigh in at the end of week one. This morning I played one hour of Pickleball and managed to get in…
  • Hi Patti! Welcome to the group. We are keeping it pretty low-key here with one way in a week that you can report anytime you want but I call it way in Wednesday just so we try to remind ourselves to weigh in at least once a week. And I’m hopeful that members can post at least twice a week to share their challenges and…
  • welcome to the group @ebikejean ! Tomorrow is Feb 1st - the 1st day of week 1.
  • Hello @ebikejean ! "Mild accountability" is definitely what this group is about LOL. Great to have you here!
  • @mtaratoot - thank you for the advice. Yes - my nutritionist is registered and came on the recommendation of my family doctor. She has been great! I credit her guidance with the small success I have had so far and my BP has shown marked improvement (although it can still use improvement). My pickleball is giving me some…
  • Welcome Crystal! Your journey sounds familiar. It is so easy to get swept up in life’s day to day challenges and lose track of what we need to do to stay healthy. You definitely have your hands full! The teenage years are such a tough time to be raising kids. They are independent yet still need us so much (even though they…
  • Hi Mimi - this is a new group with very simple objectives. 1- we will have “Weigh In Wednesday” when members can report their weight or their weight loss. 2- we ask that members try to post at least twice a week with a rundown of their goals, their challenges and any other things happening during their day The point of the…
  • Welcome Juli ! We are going to start Week 1 on Feb 1st. We will have a weigh in and then we can share our challenges and victories as we get a long!
  • Hi everyone - I am a 54 year old Mom of 5. In November I found out that my blood pressure was sky high so I started a weigh loss journey. In November I weighed in at 264 and am now down to 248.6. I loved Darlene's goals and emojis so I am borrowing her idea below:- My Goals for 2024 ⚖️ Get to my Ideal weight - get to 199…
  • Mia_Vojago 1. What should we call you? (your name, user name, nickname etc) Just call me Mia but my real name is Brooke. Mia Vojago means "my journey" in Esperanto. 2. What are your fitness and/or weight loss goals? I started my journey at 264 and currently weigh in at 248.6. My goal is to get to 199 (One-derland!) by Dec…
  • I TOTALLY relate to everything in your post (in my case I lose and gain the same 40 pounds!) I am also a self-rewarder who works long hours. I don't drink at home but when I am out for an evening meal I LOVE to have a fancy cocktail which are very often loaded with calories and sugar. My blood pressure has made the…
  • Hi there! I am new to the group too. About two years ago I was an active participant on another website called Spark people that was great! I don’t understand why they closed the site down. It was fantastic for me, and I managed to lose 40 pounds. I’m also looking for accountability partners, so let me know if you are…
