OP, first of all, well done on your progress π I have a long history of anorexia. When I was in my late 20's and in recovery, I hadn't had a period for almost 2 years but as soon as my weight crept up a bit I fell pregnant after my first period with my beautiful (now 21 yeard old) son π Please have patience, everyone isβ¦

OP, I don't know where you are but when I had to gain I was given these drinks. They're nutritionally balanced and actually quite tasty, especially the chocolate and coffee flavours. https://ensure.com/nutrition-products/ensure-plus/strawberry-shake
-
Ooh, thank you, there's some good ideas there π
-
I haven't a clue about the amount of calories but it looks and sounds delicious! π
-
OP, I've noticed your posts a lot over the last few days. All basically urging people to go keto. Why do you feel the need? If it's working for you, that's great but it seems like you're trying to gain converts π
-
I can understand your confusion, I'm the same! I didn't want to lose this much weight but, now that I have, I think to myself "well, that's more calories in the bank to spend on holiday", if you see what I mean? π Anyway, I've only got until Tuesday and then I can relax and enjoy my food π I hope that you're feeling betterβ¦

OP, I'm glad to see that you've increased you calorie goal today π I was going to warn you that if you consistently have a very low calorie goal MFP will lock you out of your account. At least they used to (it happened to me years ago π©).

I walk a street route, fairly level ground with just a few (4 or 5) slight inclines and declines. I realise that that's not much to go on but I was just after a rough idea to see if my calculations were right. All sorted now anyway.
-
If I'm upstairs and need the loo, I'll go to the downstairs one, and vice verse. 3 lots of stairs each way has got to add something, right? π
-
Thanks @AnnPT77 (again π) and everyone else π I will enjoy the family holiday and then after a week eating normally (as I do now) I'll see where I'm at, weight wise, and switch to maintenence π
-
I stand corrected π
-
@wamp84 as far as I can see you can't delete an individual item in a meal, just the whole meal. Can you remember the meal again and just don't enter the item you don't want to include?
-
Thanks but I understand all that. It's just I'm losing more weight than I want to (5.2lbs in the last 14 days, for example) so I thought it may have something to do with exercise.
-
I find the opposite re: eating before bed. If I eat before bed tgen I'm always more hungry in the morning than the times I go to bed hungry π€
-
You're calculation was close to half the MFP estimation and as walking is the only exercise I can get at the moment it seems I'm right to halve the MFP calorie burn, as I have been doing. I thought that maybe I'm burning more calories (via exercise) than I realised but, it seems I'm not.
-
So about 50% of MFP's calculation? I halve all exercise calories already so I'll keep doing that. Thank you π
-
Yes, I wanted to lose some lbs before my holiday so that I can eat more relaxed. I've lost more than planned though and it's not a good look so I'll look to maintain after the holiday.
-
I'm just trying to figure out my calorie burn so that I can work out my TDEE. I don't really want to lose much more weight but neither do I want to gain too much. Maintenance it is then. I'll see how that goes after my holiday. Thanks πππ
-
Thank you for responding π I plan to try to eat to my maintenance calories during the holiday (will probably go over though with alcohol added ππ). I'll give myself a week after eating the same as I do know just to get back on track and then eat at maintenance after. That's the plan anyway.
-
And I'm losing weight just fine. That's the issue. I'm trying to figure out my activity level and TDEE so that I know how much extra I can eat.
-
MFP calculates it as 208 (IIRC) but I thought that was a bit high? π€
-
Well as I'm only on 1200 calories I'd like to eat more if I can. 120 calories extra may not seem much to you but they're precious to me! Keto? Nope, not for me thanks π
-
I've just noticed that my current weight is wrong! It should read *112.2* instead of 122.2
-
I know, I'm driving myself crazy with it! π
-
Well obviously I'm burning much more calories than I'm taking in. Nothing new about that π I just haven't figured out how much more I should eat π€ What I'm doing now is; Calculate my daily exercise calories. Halve that number. Add that figure to my BMR (1113). Take 1200 (my MFP set calorie goal) from that and that's howβ¦
-
Thank you @AnnPT77, I'll take a look now π
-
Thank you @kimny72, can I ask what you're activity setting is please? Also, do you do any exercise? 1800 cals would seem far too much for me. All the calculators give me around 1400 to maintain π€ I'm definitely going to be enjoying the extra food next week π
-
Ok, well thanks for posting that because I've just compared it to the numbers that I log for exercise (50% ,ofwhat MFP gives me) and it's pretty spot on! ππ
-
How did you come across that calculation please?
-
Are you sure your FitBit is tracking correctly? Do you eat back all the calories it gives you? Are you weighing absolutely everything that you eat and drink?
