Ex anorexic here (more times than I care to remember at death's door) - believe me, starvation mode is not real.
-
Nope, I think it's just fine and I'm very happy with it ☺️

This is Tesco's 10% fat... https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/299054766

OP, look at lean lamb mince on the Tesco/Sainsburys /Asda etc. webpages and see the nutritional values there. Average it out if they differ.

I don't know if this has been mentioned (far too many posts to read!) but, not being able to shave your armpits properly due to the deep dips. I've tried and tried but can't get the razor head to get in there. Waxing is a must now 😩

That did make me laugh! 😂🤣😂

So that's 1314 calories per day (easier for me to understand 😊) Either they were huge portions of houmous and pizza or your logging is really out! I'm on 1200 calories (5020 kilojoule) per day and struggle to eat them. And I have a beer every day 🍻 Do you use a food scale? Do you weigh absolutely everything that goes into…

Yes, lbs is pounds. There are 2.2 lbs to 1 kilo. Your 5 kilo loss target is equal to 11 lbs. What are your stats - gender, age, height, weight etc.? What calorie allowance has MFP given you?

Here's a good exercise calculator.... http://www.bmi-calculator.net/calories-burned-calculator/#result

If you buy sliced loaves have you tried freezing them? I used to do that and just take out the slices as I needed them. They don't take long to defrost, full loaves are cheaper (per kilo) than half and, if you're using the slices to make sandwiches, I found that I used a lot less spread if I did it when the slices were…

Thank you 😘 It's definitely loose skin, it's like crepe paper everywhere 😔 I do eat plain yoghurt, half fat when I can get it on discount but full fat if I must. The problem I find with grains/pulses for protein, is that they cost a lot of calories. As I'm only allowed 1200/day I'd like to get more protein for my money 😊 I…

Doh! Just realised that this is a ghost thread 😀

I use my PC once a week to make my soup (huge 9 litre pot, lasts me all week). This one was a potato based soup as I've been awy for tha past 2 weeks and could smell the potatoes in the fridge 😣 Potatoes, red lentils, cabbage, cauliflower, carrot, onion, spinach, curry powder, cumin, pul biber, garlic, salt & black pepper…

Thank you so much for responding 😊 Toning up means I'd like to lose the loose skin that I seem to have acquired by just losing 17lbs. Due to my health issues, exercise isn't really top of my list (or ability) at the moment but I know that I must do something. I live in Turkey and protein sources (bar lentils, beans, bulgur…

Can I just ask - why do you want a bigger bum? I can remember in my late teens-early twenties (after that, i didn't care!) that you'd ask "Does my bum look big in this?" hoping for a big fat "Nooooo!" Now it seems that that's all anybody wants. That's in no way meant as a critism, you do what's good for you, I'm just…

My scale says it weighs 5 kilos but often zonks out at anything above 3.5 kilos. What I do is use a big empty yoghurt tub and once my dish (soup or chilli etc.) is cooked and cooled a bit, I transfer it to the yoghurt tub on the scale.

I see this so many times. Starvation Mode is not real! If it was, how could myself and sooo many other people around the world actually starve?!
-
Yes! Once a week over or every day over if you're eating more calories than you are burning then yes, of course you will gain. The amount of that gain depends on how much over youre calories you eat. I'll say it again, if you eat 3500 extra calories (in 1 day or several days) you will theoretically gain 1lb of weight per…

That does seem a low calorie allowance. What does MFP give you when you set up? How much do you want to lose? I'm 5' 4", 118lbs with only 3lbs until goal and I'm eating 1320 calories per day and slowly losing. Are you logging your exercise and eating at least some of those calories?
-
Thanks @Bruce, I've just joined 👍
-
Are you not logging your exercise and eating back the calories?
-
I don't really understand your question, are you trying to lose or add weight? 3500 calories = 1lb. 3500 calories extra will mean a 1lb gain. 3500 calories less will mean a 1lb loss. Has MFP given you 2100 calories per day? What did you set as your goals? Sorry but you need to give a bit more information before anyone can…

I measure across the fullest part of my breasts, the smallest of my waist (I use the bathroom mirror) and the widest point on my hips. Wrist and forearm I use moles to know the exact spot each time 😀 Don't be too disheartened though, my measurements didn't really change at all for the first few weeks even though my clothes…

An easy way to eat more is to exercise. You'll "earn" extra calories. Are you doing any exercise at the moment? If so, are you eating back the calories? I've just increased my daily calorie allowance to 1300 but I try to do some form of exercise on the days when those calories are just not enough.
-
Seems that way. Mind, my friends would say I talk shite all day long anyway 🤣
-
I get loads of fibre, also drink plenty of fluids but I've had problems going for the last 5-6 weeks, since I started on here 😣 But.... today was a good day! 😉😁
-
Yes, I was, ahem, successful eventually 😳
-
Oh hów I wish I could buy that here in Turkey 😔

I know, sorry 😂😂😂
