I totally understand this. One of my daily meals could very easily be turned into a smoothie but I know that, for me, a bowl of something to eat slowly with a spoon is more satisfying than a drink. The size of this melon though, I'll be eating and drinking it for the next week! 🍉😂🍉

I always do that; after the recipe name & date I add "1g = 1 Serving"

Why is that @AnnPT77? I've just bought a huge watermelon (10kgs! 😱) and plan on using a lot of it for making juice. Not with a juicing machine though, just popping the flesh and seeds into my food processor and blitzing it down to make a drink. Does it lose nutrients this way?

I can't drink as much now (since losing weight) as I used to without feeling like shite the next day. I'm ok if I stick to lager or wine but vodka is definitely rationed now if I don't want the hangover munchies the next day. On the plus side though, on the occasions where I do overdo it, I get a good dose of "boozer's…

*ate, not at.

Are you drinking these juices or just looking at them? 😅 If you do drink them then I'd log them. Yesterday I at 2 cucumbers as a snack and they totalled 50 calories. I know that 50 calories here or there doesn't seem much but, maybe in the evening I'd eaten a couple more cucumbers, that'd be 100 extra calories. It all adds…

I do the same. I often batch cook, freezing in whatever containers I have so I always use the total cooked weight as my serving size. That way I can defrost a block of whatever and know how many calories are in it. I also label the freezer bags with the dish name and amount of calories/100g, just in case I don't have…

Yes, that's how I do it. If you really think it could be under calories, are you certain that the database entries you used were correct? If you want to, you can post the recipe and I'll double check the values based on my entries.
-
You can change your calorie goals easily but, am I understanding you correctly, you want you calorie goal to be the same as your RMR? I'm not sure that's wise 😮

Homemade soup is my winter breakfast 😊 It warms me up and I know it's packed full of goodness to start the day off right 👍
-
I've been eating natural yoghurt, fresh mint, strawberries, apricots and toasted rye flakes all mixed together each day for tge past 2 weeks now. It's lush 😊
-
Same here, except I average out the 3 readings 👍
-
I do the same! My scale lives under the bathroom sink cupboard and comes out every morning to be placed in the centre of the same square floor tile 😊
-
Check the batteries, sometimes if they're running down they can give differing readings. Also, weigh yourself in the same spot each time.
-
I used to do this naturally, before IF was a "thing". I'd just eat in the evening, in bed, just before sleeping. I was also anorexic at the time so it was the only way I'd allow myself to eat. Did I lose weight? Yes, because I severely restricted my calorie intake for that one meal. Would I recommend it? No.
-
Well if you know you're going to eat them anyway but feel bad about it afterwards, it makes sense to me to "allow" yourself them then maybe they won't have so much of a pull. If I had a "trigger food" but knew that I could eat it, guilt free, every day, then maybe it wouldn't be a trigger food 🤔 If the OP is eating 2/3…

1500 calories per bag! What size bags are they? We have 130-150g bags at around 500 calories / 100g so, maximum of 750 calories. If, like the OP, you know you like crisps in the evening then just set aside some calories (maybe 150-200) for them and portion that amount out into a bowl or plate. I've eaten next to nothing…
-
Can't you just factor them in to your daily calorie allowance?
-
If I hadn't planned to eat at that time then I'd have just got my shopping.
-
I think you may have misunderstood. I'm sure that @GaleHawkins meant that a stall AFTER 6-12 months is normal. The OP states that it's been a few weeks.
-
Thank you, that makes sense now 😊
-
Thank you.
-
So you think I could go 500 extra?
-
Pav, I jiggled my settings about a bit earlier and even if I increase my activity to lightly active (which I'm not) it only gives me an extra 170 calories/day. That's not going to make much difference, surely?

I moved to maintenance last week, after a big blowout holiday.
-
@PAV8888 I'm relatively new to this app so I don't really understand the "smoothing" and "forecast" days settings. Mine are automatically set at 14 and 12, respectively. Should I change them? I have reset my MFP goal to maintenance since the end of my holiday (as I said I would) and I'm not trying to lose weight still. I…

I've been weighing in at roughly the same time each day; as soon as I wake

Breakfast was 2 hard boiled eggs on top of a big bowl of salad (tomatoes, cucumber, onions and lettuce. Lunch is chopped strawberries, apricot S, fresh mint and 2% fat natural yoghurt. Dinner will be courgette, potato and chickpea stew and large salad (same as above).

It's amazing how much difference a food scale can make. Well done and good luck going forwards
