This seems like a good read. Thank you

This is the last three months. Take into account I lost and had to replace my Fitbit in Feb, and was briefly ill mid March
-
When it was just walking it was as high as 60 a week. With running it is less as I get accustom to the difference in effort
-
I'm already at 30-45 a week. I went from distance walking to walk/run to run.
-
I plan on including speed into my current endurance work. You can't run faster if you never attempt to
-
There is a lot of good information here. Yesterday I decided to just go run two miles as fast as I could without worrying about further distance and managed ten minute miles. I'm going to try working that into my longer runs, running fast for a mile, jogging two, repeat. Currently I'd have to walk to recover in between but…

I've dropped two pounds since posting and applying updated calorie burn advice from this thread
-
Two months. I initially had a Charge 2 but bought a Flex2 because of teaching swim. Lost the Flex2 and have a versa now
-
Yes. My clothes from last summer are falling off and a picture comparison shows differences

This is what I meant when I say healthy habits are hard to build in to your life. This took a WHILE to be proficient. At this point I USUALLY spend one weekend day processing and preparing meals or ingredients for the following week, dropping everyone's cumulative food costs and raising better nutrition. It used to be a…

When I say I'm careful about logging, this is what I mean. Individual ingredients researched, accumulated, weighed, portioned and assembled, then plugged into the recipe feature, cross referenced with packaging for calorie accuracy and plugged in. Why my log says '1 serving' frequently. This is one of several meals I'm…

I have done that, and that may be what I have to do again to make progress. I reset mfp to not adjust calories for activity for now, but I don't want to change too much at once because I won't be able to isolate the variable. I've had various Fitbits for over a year, so I dunno. Just going to see what happens for a while
-
Frequently. I adjust that along with the activity setting any time a significant schedule change happens. Most frequently school breaks for the kids
-
Whatever general collection of annoyances I have that day.
-
Yeah, I'm disregarding the calories burned information here. The rest is important information for me though
-
Progress. I'll take it. This wasn't run/walk either. I'm awfully impressed with myself. .....turns out that spite and anger are a huge motivator for me. We use the tools we have.
-
This is kinda what I've settled on. I really need to find a way to enforce rest days too

I skimmed many comments. It happens. It isn't run/walk anymore, by the way. Adding rhythmic breathing was a game changer. Also, spite is a HUGE motivation for me (I'm petty. We use the tools we have) So this was me tonight. Yes, the route was strange. I did that on purpose.

I meant him leaving is better than further bickering. I've got a ton of thoughts about reasons, but my point in posting boiled down to 'I've had a bunch of progress, but what I'm doing isn't working anymore'. For over a year, I've worked on this. Clearly there is an amount of self control involved. Someone coming in with a…

My initial instinct it to go back, quote point by point to explain my take away to within an inch of it's life. You agreeing with me is not what determines if something is true or not, and you wouldn't take it anyway. Your leaving is better anyway.

First of all, if you hadn't taken a diet break in all that time, now would have been the time to take one. But, if I recall correctly, you've already said you lost and regained this year. So you've taken diet breaks. The weight trend for the PAST 10 WEEKS is what is the issue right now and your perception at ground level…

Started at 224 Dec 2017 down to 184 now.

I'm saying that your correcting me is accurate. Though it bears mentioning that my intention had been to credit you at least a little bit for something despite personally attributing you very little credibility due to your attempt to tear apart points. There is a difference in teaching (which you aren't doing) and myth…

The 'kerfluffle' (love that word) is mostly about the frustration of not seeing the scale change. I posted something like an hour before I did the tape measurement
-
I've been fluctuating the same four pounds for ten weeks
-
Accurate. I went back. I mistook someone else for you in a later post.
-
I don't know what you specifically mean by real, but I know they are taken the same exact way each time, based on my background of once upon a time measuring people day in and out selling men's suits on commission. Still though, it is just a tool.

Or just this tool I guess. https://www.runnersworld.com/training/a20801301/calories-burned-running-calculator/
