I want to nap just looking at supported fish pose. It looks so relaxing.

It took me a really long time to get past that feeling/thought process. Once I started making it a ritual...as on choosing a mantra...doing some journaling or meditation and really thinking about what I wanted to get out of my practice...it naturally flows (so to speak) once you start to make it habit and make it…

When I was doing more distance running hangry was just...situation normal. Marathon training, man.

I don't like to use the word fail. This is why dieting a lot of times gets so frustrating for so many. For me exercise needs to be fun or I won't do it. For a while it was ballet...pole (which I can't do anymore since my studio closed down and I have nowhere to put my pole)...now it's Yoga, pilates and when the weather…

My question: Got a love affair of your own with the veggie realm? Too many to count! Current favorites: Beets (golden are my favorite), green beans and artichokes What is the vegetable you love introducing to nonveggie-loving friends? Brussels Sprouts (roasted with olive oil, salt and pepper) What new-to-you veggie are you…

Alright, Yogis, I need to pick your brains. I'm working on floating to my handstand. So far I can only get there by kicking upward. My biggest issue is that my arms are long. Forward folds and touching the ground are zero effort for me (palms flat). So floating my legs feels impossible. I realize a lot of this could come…

This show = genius...one of my favorite episodes.

Thank you for making me laugh out loud.

It is really hard to see someone you care about is struggling. But in the end they're an adult and it sounds like they aren't interested in advice, which is too bad, but often (unfortunately) the case. Some folks learn best the hard way. :(

I mean...getting in touch with earth is one thing...and I do love walking through the grass barefoot. But...I think that's entirely different. This sounds like someone trying to get money/scam people.

OH and...

David Tennant. :)

 Agreed! Real beauty does come from the inside. I've met plenty of people who are attractive humans but ugly people.

I've been trying to complete a full marathon since February of 2018...I had my first stress fracture and they just keep coming back. I'm almost done with a near 6 month break from running (no pun intended-heh...fracture...break...get it-I digress), and hope to complete my first full marathon next year... Of course there…

These pics were from like...2014-2015 when I did my first half marathon. However, I still think I'm alright to look at. :)

Nice long walk with my very strong coffee

Funny...because this is demonstrating a point I just made on another thread where many keep insisting: "It's calories in and calories out...simple." Folks...it IS NOT that simple. Hence...it is a simple equation and a very complicated application. The point I'd been making is that for many people (not everyone-but many),…

It was a general "PS"...not directed at you, but I do apologize for the misunderstanding.

How tall are you? That aside, I went from 142 to 123 lb back in 2016 (eating disorder much)....and my boobs basically just vanished and I looked like a teenage boy so...there's that.

Agree 100% with the second part of this...many in the fitness community in general (not just here on MFP) are trying so hard to fight genetics, aging, their own natural body type, etc to achieve something that's likely not only difficult to achieve but perhaps impossible. It could potentially help some to count…

I didn't say it couldn't be done-but for many calorie counting does become obsessive (I mean just peruse the forums for a while and you'll find plenty of folks who are worried over how many calories this yogurt has versus the other...or if they should log a few grapes they ate). And I agree-there's a difference between…

Now here you actually have a valid point...as I do see people who are very ill often, or also extremely overweight, on tube feedings or IV nutrition...or who do have eating disorders, diabetes, etc. So my view is likely different than the average person trying to lose weight, as I've seen where CICO often does not work (as…

Scary that there's more to health and wellness than counting calories?
-
Are you eating enough to support the amount of physical activity you are doing? OTS also sounds like exercise addiction...and/or over-exercising that we see frequently in the Female Athlete Triad or eating disorders. Getting personal now-but periods regular?

And tend to be very flattering

I love icelandic yogurt... (Siggi's, Smari, Icelandic Provisions, etc). A little higher in protein than Greek and most do not have as much sugar. That being said, I'm a sucker for Noosa....ermahgerd. Not as good for you at all but it's like freaking dessert. The strawberry rhubarb is delish.

Is the photo of you recent? You...don't appear to have 40 lb to lose...

I mean I think I'm still pretty cute now. But I miss my long hair sometimes. Late 20's-early 30's
