  • I'll even take a good morning! I get them from homeless people, from old people, from middle aged and young...I am all about being friendly. What he did wasn't friendly, it was sexual...and made me feel like an object not worthy of common sense or courtesy.
  • Those threads and people who "swipe left" as you said... Are WILLING PARTICIPANTS. I was someone taking a morning walk. PS: "strong enough" to insult people because they don't agree with you? Doesn't strike me so much as strong as it does stubborn... And unable to see another individual's perspective... Especially seeing…
  • The sad thing is we don't know if he has any family in the area...or anyone looking out for him. A lot of the homeless in our area appear to have mental disorders or cognitive deficits of some kind but...who is helping them? It's sad. I mean...I don't want anything bad to happen to the guy but at the same time...he's not…
  • He's been on the police radar for a while. But we think he lives in a group home or something and kept getting away-he didn't even live near here/our neighborhood but kept finding his way back here. No idea. He had started to walk my way once (I recognized him because of previous encounters, others catching him on video,…
  • Agreed. There's one individual in our neighborhood who has run after and threatened and flashed women...on the one hand, he does have a cognitive delay/deficit of some kind...on the other, he actually stalked women to their houses then paced back and forth in front of their houses while..amusing himself if you get my…
  • I have issues with Warrior III and tree pose...it's a balance thing. A lot of standing balance I find has to do with hip alignment and making sure your hips aren't tilted. For me crow pose is having my knees in that sweet spot on my triceps. Then it's just like a fulcrum/forward tilt.
  • Time...stretching...stretch WARM muscles. And..time..and practice. It took me a really long time to get my splits/monkey asana. I am so SO happy you're getting into yoga! That is awesome progress on touching your toes-soon it'll be the floor-then palms on the floor, just wait and see! I love that it is about seeing what…
  • I got a break from my usual work and was able to assist at the type 1 diabetes day camp my department is in charge of this year. Oh those kids were SO funny and precocious. Made my day seeing the world through their eyes.
  • Agreed and I'm married to one of those awesome men. He was also a bit worried about it... As there ARE flashers (aggressive ones) who pop up from time to time. I'm also a runner and usually bring my dog with me for security... But it was so hot I knew it wouldn't be good for her.
  • Oh wow... Dude it has less to do with me being afraid of being attacked and more to do with feeling like a piece of meat... But thanks. And who the eff cares if he was trying to be "complimentary"!? Is it really a man's right to assess if my body is up to par...? It's not his body to comment on!
  • I think that we also need to give me A LITTLE credit here. I'm not some dumb person who can't tell the difference between a cat call and someone genuinely being thoughtful. Might I add this creeper was WHITE...?! Implying I'm racist and/or violent because a dirty old man whistled at me SUGGESTIVELY while I was trying to…
  • Hooray-hi there, fellow Yogi! That's amazing! I've thought about taking the instructor training when I have the money...kinda expensive! Do you know at what point or how many hours you'll be able to teach? Welcome! Namaste.
  • OH and I forgot to include the rubber-necking. And trust me. Narcissist? I pretty much think I am crap so...thanks...
  • Oh dude...you must not be familiar at ALL with the kind of whistle I'm talking about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SF2SA6uRhKw And also...thanks for making yourself look quite ignorant. :)
  • I just...I feel bad for other women or men who go through the same thing. I didn't grow up in the Mid Atlantic so I was accustomed to dry heat during the summer (cool mornings/evenings and hot days-days when if you wear a tank and shorts you're fine). Once I moved out here and went through my first Maryland summer I…
  • This almost brought me to tears. Very insightful. My go-to for dealing with negative feelings in the past has been to skip the next meal...see how little I could eat that day. When my anorexia got bad I was thin and boyish...almost like becoming invisible, smaller...I didn't stand out. It's been a while since something…
  • Women do it too-whether it is more or less frequently. It doesn't matter. Why can't we just look at each other and see people and...treat them as such?
  • Glad you're able to get back to it! Why had they been canceled? I was bummed-this morning there was pop-up yoga in the park! I wish I'd known-would have packed my mat and joined in!
  • This would make sense if I was on private property...instead of a public sidewalk in downtown Baltimore.
  • *Big hugs* I agree... I'm happier and more content when I do yoga routinely...
  • I'm a selective gamer. I used to play Final Fantasy and the KH games...but nowadays it's basically Nintendo games. I still haven't beaten breath of the wild...it's...taking a while. LOL
  • Hahahaha! Or...maybe it's not creeping if we're not creepy people-maybe it's just curiosity...but now this is semantics.
  • This. Whenever I get to comparing myself with others, I remind myself that someone else might be comparing themselves to me. Comparison is indeed the thief of joy. If we always have to be "better than" how can we ever just be happy being ourselves? I think everyone has those days. And I used to question myself a lot about…
  • Yep-totally checked out the pictures.
  • Yeah. Especially since the kittens are showing curiosity and wanting to leave the room, we're going to get a little more aggressive on socializing with the dogs. This is only their second week with us so they haven't even wanted to leave the room up until now-we're taking it at their pace. We will probably empty out and…
  • Consistency helps. When I used to do my long runs in the morning, I'd be up at 4AM. I loved it. Nobody was around so it was quiet. I had my coffee and something light to eat if needed, peruse pinterest while I finish my cup of coffee, then I went for my run. By the time you get back and showered, you head to work…
  • By example? I mean...most of the time they know when they need to lose. You don't need to point it out. Lead a healthy lifestyle and beyond that it's not up to us.
