Great work! Just got my TOPS Centennial 2-year tenure award last weekend - lost over 100lbs and kept it off. Still struggling with another 50 that wants to hang around, but definitely life-changing stuff! Congratulations, and keep up the healthy lifestyle!

Consistency is KEY - this is a life change, not a quick fix. Keep tracking, working out, and when you consistently come in under maintenance calories the progress will come. Think in months, not weeks.

I give myself 1750-1850 cal/day --- 6'1", large frame (9.5-inch wrists)---45% protein, 30% carbs (vegetables/fruits only), 25% fat. Workouts 6-7 days/week with resistance training 3 days.

61 (62 in a couple of months) - have lost 144lbs in the past 15 months here on MFP. Change your habits and you will win this.

Excellent advice!!!

Been through this over the past 419 days - started at 6'1", 425lbs, now at 286lbs. I can tell you that even with working out an hour or more a day, every day, both cardio and resistance, eventually you may reach a point where you need to drop your calories below 1800. I did. To keep losing after I hit the 300 mark I had to…

Heavy day - one hour core workout this morning, including 3 sets 30 reverse crunches, 2000 hip abductors (1000 per leg) 900 bridges, 2 sets of 60 pushups, 3 sets of 10 leg raises combined with "dead bugs", a few minutes of Tai Chi to cool off, then 20min resistance training about an hour later at gym, followed by 20min…

Motivation is temporary. Only discipline wins out in a fight like this one. Establish your personal discipline and then stick to it, keep those promises to yourself. You have NOT failed - only if you QUIT, and it seems like you don't want to quit. Look up Aadam Ali online, he has great diet and exercise advice on fat loss…

Not quite yet a "success"...but successful SO FAR...hoping to get those final 43 pounds off and be in the Success section by April 2020!

We plan to be in Albuquerque in mid-June - how do we find this trail? Doubt we would go all the way up, probably just to 8500' or so, but would love to see part of that area!

Hoping for more snow like this...we really need that water!
-
@NorthCascades hope you heal well and fast - I hate injuries, had a few over the years, and they all seemed to take FOREVER to heal!

Cannot WAIT for Springtime here! So many great wildflower trails!

There's a whole Spanish town lost in Sycamore Canyon somewhere, no joke! Spanish Crown settlers lived there in the mid-1700s, now nobody can find it...

@NorthCascades WOWZERS!!!!

Pic from this morning's dawn two-miler at Gilbert Riparian Preserve. Nice and quiet there before sunrise!

LOVE all the trail pics folks!!!!!

Indeed! The change has been drastic enough that I've had to really rehearse some of the faster licks - having the guitar closer to my body really helps, but it can be a challenge unlearning thirty years of "belly compensation"! :)

Today's goals are to work hard, eat healthy, and stay positive. Oh, and to count every single calorie like the butt-expanding li'l bastid it is!!

Long term goal is to reach 250lbs by my birthday in April 2020. Almost seven months to lose 48lbs...be happy even to get close, but hope to do better. Quite a few very active weekends between now and then, giving myself 1800 cal/day along with daily workouts. Longer term goal is to reach 230 by this time next year!
-
Number this morning 296.8 --- down 128.2 pounds since starting here exactly eleven months ago today.
-
To reach my first goal of 250lbs while remaining healthy and sane.
-
My goals for today : get my workout accomplished first thing, watch my calories, and make sure to climb up and down the stairs at work as much as possible!
-
Goal for today...put in my full hour workout tonight, log EVERY calorie, work extra hard on the dock, burn some body fat!!
-
Day 324 - down exactly 124lbs to 301...REALLY want to break under 300 this week, but past experience shows me it will be more like two weeks, unless I really up my game.
