Yes, the wife of one of the players is a vegan chef. The documentary shows her making all their meals for them. The food looks amazing, I’m not surprised they all converted!

I noticed that and assumed it was a man clicking disagree! Every woman I know who has periods notices differences in her body throughout the month.

My first thought is hormones. I tend to hover around the same weight (or even gain a pound or two) for 3 weeks per month, then have a sudden drop at a certain point in my cycle.

I thought how amazing this was when I saw the new record. If I push myself I can manage a mile in 8 minutes, but I don’t think I could keep it up for long. I’m far more comfortable at 9:30 - 10 minutes per mile. The idea that Kipchoge ran a marathon faster than I can sprint is incredible!

Well done! 🥳

Hi, welcome to mfp. I’ve added you as a friend 😊 I’m on here every day so feel free to message me if you want to chat.

I love how yoga looks so slow and gentle, but anyone who can move like this is actually incredibly strong! Are you increasing your strength with yoga, or using other exercises as well?
-
It’s probably obvious that Ju-jitsu is my passion. I’ve been training since I was ten years old and teaching it for the last 20 years. I also love running and lifting weights, and I try to do a short yoga session every morning to relieve the aches from the previous day’s workout!
-
I looked at the photos of this course, it’s beautiful! I’m sure you’ll enjoy running it.

I was thinking the same thing. There’s no way I’d run on the road, especially not in the dark. There are a couple of routes that I only run in daylight because there is no footpath, and even though there isn’t much traffic it still feels unsafe to be there.

@Graymanstole That must have been so frustrating! Well done for getting back into training, I hope you can run your half marathon this time. I’m running Sheffield half marathon in March. I ran it last year in 2hrs 11mins. That was my first attempt at a half, and I just wanted to finish it without walking. This time I want…

This sounds like you’re just not eating enough. Do you log your food, and if so how many calories do you eat? Considering it’s so bad that your hair is falling out and you’re always exhausted, I would go to your doctor to check that you don’t have a health problem. If you don’t particularly want to start eating meat again,…

No there is no focus on animal welfare at all. There is a warning at the beginning about “bloody scenes” and I was dreading some awful slaughter house clips (I’m already vegan, I don’t need any more convincing of how bad it is), but it was actually clips of an MMA fight! I really enjoyed the film, so did my husband who…

Do you weigh less than when you started? I was disappointed when my calorie goal automatically reduced after I lost weight! I hadn’t really thought about it, but of course it’s logical that you will use fewer calories if you are carrying less weight around.

Congratulations, you look great!

I’m also an ethical vegan who eats too much junk food! I’m doing better since I started tracking my meals on here. Most of the suggestions I had were the same as Ann’s so I won’t repeat them. I’ll just add that soya mince is useful for all sorts of meals. I make chilli, bolognese, shepherds pie, lasagna, and mince with…

I’ve been recording the 30 day shred as aerobics. Normal aerobics for level one and high impact for levels 2 and 3.

I also have 3 small children. I’ve found that it’s virtually impossible to meditate with them around, but I can often encourage them to join me in following yoga with Adriene on YouTube. They particularly like her dog who appears in most of the videos 😄

This would worry me more than him putting on weight. If you ever want to have children I would ditch him right now and find another man to have them with. I put on 55lb with each pregnancy and it took me a long time to lose it afterwards, but my husband never said anything about me being less attractive. His weight has…

I have high arches and need to have support under them. My last 3 pairs of running shoes have been from Skechers and they’re the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had. I have to go to the store and usually try on every pair in my price range, but I always find some that feel good.

It’s completely different, unless you think drivers set out with the aim of hitting a jogger on purpose, then using the excuse that they were wearing dark coloured clothing so couldn’t be seen.
-
Well said! I completely agree.

You could use the recipe builder to make your own salad entry. Weigh the amounts you use and enter them into the recipe, then you can just click that entry every time instead of weighing again.

I love Torre Washington! He also has a YouTube channel.

I’m running the Sheffield half. It’s huge, I ran it last year and there were over 5,000 runners. The atmosphere was great, I loved it. I also did a smaller local one (Hatter’s half in Stockport) later in the year, but I had problems finding time to train for it so I struggled and didn’t enjoy it as much. I want to do that…

Good luck with your half marathon! I’m training for one too, but it’s not until March next year. Let us know how it goes.
-
That sounds amazing - just the kind of active holiday I love! I’ve had lots of time to run in the last 2 weeks so I haven’t done the shred. I’ve made lots of progress, I ran 7.5 miles without stopping yesterday! It’ll be interesting to see if the shred is any easier when I get back to it.

Any personal trainers around today?
-
Hi Farah, welcome and good luck 😊

Thanks, I haven’t looked at that one yet.
