Hahaha okay maybe I don’t feel like a carcass but definitely like a cow today

Yeah that’d be a lot of stuff for me to unpack every day. I would rather not see it as a war, there are far more serious things people are dealing with that make my daily weight struggles seem very minimal, which they are in the grand scheme of things. I started about 10 years ago and lost 150 pounds. Ultimately reached…

If I didn’t know myself any better I’d be pretty disgusted with myself. I totally blew it out of the ballpark, probably even out of my maintenance range. Back in weight-loss mode that quickly. Not even going to touch the scale, I know what I probably weigh right now, and will all week. It was a great time, though, saw lots…

I wish there was a love button. This is beautiful❤️.

At the point I got down to about lower 170’s-160’s lbs, I began experiencing what you’re describing. I’d just gotten passed a plateau that seemed to last forever. At that time, my rate of loss was about 2lbs/week. I even began going to the gym twice a day just to exercise for more calories so that I could eat more. I had…

Will log breakfast and anything else before we leave our house (thanksgiving at my moms). I won’t be toting my food scale. Like Nighthawk, a picture and/or discreet list to refer to later should suffice.

Personally, I had multiple goal weights, mainly because Id lost a lot of weight before but never been under 170lbs. First goal was to get under 200lbs, then hit 180, then lose in increments of ten from there until I hit 140. Sat around there for about a month to make absolutely sure I was comfortable and now in maintenance…

You can ship them here, I eat broken cookie bars without prejudice :) ok no serious, I imagine they’d hold up just fine if wrapped in clear plastic wrap?

I’ve experienced this too, around my eyes and neck. I moisturize like crazy, but.... oh well, I’m 39, so I know I’m no spring chicken. I don’t really mind it, I guess, it’s just.... different.

I’m 5’5. When I hit the 140’s I realized that my body could stand to lose some more, but that the risk of more dieting was starting to outweigh the benefit, and I did not want to find out the hard way that I over-shot the best range. Now that I’m here, I’ve got a whole new set of goals and challenges to balance with other…

Ive hit my target range (125-130lbs), but then it was straight to recomp for me. Im happy to have accomplished a major goal, but in keeping it all in a healthy perspective really brings the truth home, that maintenance is simply clocking out of your normal shift then pulling a double for the rest of your life.

Wow! Your transformation is one of the best I’ve seen, and you look healthy and happy - well done!
-
I know you’ve worked so hard just in the time I’ve been on here. Congratulations, and Happy early-Birthday 🥳

The hardest part is knowing I’ve lost the weight but that, better appearance aside, sometimes the damage really is done. Just some things you can’t reverse.

Meh. To me it’s just a diet. The reference has no control in my success or failure at my loss or it’s maintenance. And if I succeed far enough along into the future to consider it a genuine lifestyle change, it won’t be because I eliminated the use of any words from my vocabulary. And that should be okay, too. Good luck to…

I doc my meal times down in the Notes section. Same with daily glucose testing. Works.

Awesome job, and you look fabulous!

Yikes. I hope the gall stone issue is resolved. I remember having gall stones, had my gall bladder removed eventually, but couldn’t come fast enough by that point.

Get ready because this is going to be a long one... Well, I wouldn’t call it a cheat day, but not long ago I accompanied my family to a Denny’s restaurant where I’d ordered a classic favorite of mine; mozzarella cheese sticks appetizer. Now, I’d felt no guilt, and I didn’t even consider it a cheat meal. I’d fit into my…

Same here. I’m down to the last 10, and I’m used to weighing in every morning. Nowadays its a total up-down up up, a little down trend that tends to confuse and discourage me even though it shouldn’t. Ive also had to cut my rate of loss to a .5 lb so I was expecting a minor uptick, maybe even what may seem like a stall.…

Interesting. Pffft. I WISH mine counted fake steps.

207lbs to 146lbs

What an inspiration you are and you look Absolutely. Fabulous ❤️

It may be a little tough to gauge at first, but try to stay mindful of weight distribution. The elliptical trainer is a “one size fits all” machine that can be very unnatural until one finds their own correct posture. The peddle will not conform with the natural movement of your foot, so it’s easy for your toes to end up…

Black or red plums. I am diabetic so I have to be careful but I definitely make sure I don’t run out, I am loving them 🥰

Pickles❤️ In fact if they didn’t pack so much sodium I’d eat them more often.

As far as getting off on the right foot, the only reasonable thing I can suggest is cutting back significantly on eating out however you have to. Meet your calorie requirements through sensible eating, again however you choose, loads of ideas already here. Concerning eating out, one thing I already knew about myself is…

If it helps, I had an extra bowl of Kix today. It was the best. But that’s not the worst part I also had a piece of enchilada casserole after that. I loved it. What’s worse is that I don’t know how many calories it was so I just took my best guess and logged 350cal. Have no idea if I was spot on but I’ll know in the…

A time came when I had to put my foot down. It was necessary or I would have never gotten my goals off the ground. The people around me meant well, nobody was trying to sabotage my efforts. But they simply did not know how important it was that I improve my health. Once I began to open up, their support became palpable. So…

Given everything you’ve said here I’d suggest you do your family a favor and cancel your trip. For some, that’s just necessary in order to stay in full control of their intake, no judgement there. But what a way to isolate yourself. And nobody, and I mean nobody, wants to spend their trip trying to appease that one person…
