I’ve had to start listening to ambient/atmospheric/new-agey stuff (Dan Gibson, Jeremy Soule, etc) when I go to the gym. Found that the music one would usually expect at a gym was stressing me out, both as a distraction as well as feeding ocd behaviours.

Been going to the pool. I figure 90 minutes of chlorine (usually alone) should kill anything. 😆 All joking aside though, my sister was telling me that everybody (staff AND members) at her gym have been very vigilant about wipe downs, washing before and after workouts in the bathroom, etc. Tbh it sounds like gyms in my area…

The toilet paper crisis is a Big Toilet Paper conspiracy, feeding off the public’s fear to ration and jack up the price of toilet paper so Big Toilet Paper can wipe with $100 bills while the rest of us are stuck with chewed wood. (Where the heck is the tin foil hat emoji??)

Oregano is terrible. Basically just tastes like bad MJ. 🤢

Splenda most of the time, and maple syrup for hot almond milk.

The only way you could have gained weight on 1,500 cals is if you’re retaining water. It is impossible to gain (fat) on 1.5k if you were maintaining at 4.5k, so assuming water retention isn’t at play, you’re either greatly underestimating your current intake or severely overestimated your original intake. As for the other…

To each their own. 🤷🏻♀️ Logging doesn’t bother me in the least beyond being exhausting when my depression is bad. Take away that factor and I look forward to the sense of accomplishment. What *does* get aggravating is having to prepare separate meals for Hubby & me in order to track accurately.

First, kudos on stepping up for your furbaby. :) Second, my sister was able to help her cats lose weight with some information gained through Googling. I don’t recall the exact details, but the most important part was maintaining a feeding schedule. I believe they’re fed three times daily, plus two treats that they recive…

What do folks do when they prepare for dooms day, only to never need all the stuff? Like, do they sit around for years hoping for an excuse to use it all? Let it accumulate into an Extreme Hoarders nightmare? Make avant garde trash sculptures?

Stubbornly burrowed into the bed & dreading the day. Severe allergic reaction after spending the last two days helping move someone from an unsanitary environment, and we’re going back today to unload into the new place. Very tempted to give up on logging for the day so I can soothe the stress with food (but I won’t!)

Quit my job, set up trusts for ourselves as well as specific family members, finally go on a honeymoon (rent a cabin under the northern lights). After that, my job would be homemaking & being a fur mama.

Talk about timing. Just finished a morning BLT! For bacon, I like a bit of crisp on the edges and the fat to have a meaty texture. My husband likes his a bit crisper, but the second it has even a hint of a charred smell he’ll have nothing to do with it. One of my sisters loves her bacon crisp as toast crumbs. Bottom line,…

Have you tried giving the fitbit a reset? Any sync issues I’ve had (for both fitbit & mfp apps) were all resolved without losing data. https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186

People who soup up their vehicles to sound “cool” actually sound like they’re too broke-*kitten* to even fill the gas tank.

YouTube doctors are not legitimate doctors. If you see “You won’t believe [X]” anywhere (on or off YT), save yourself some time and unnecessary fear and move on. Barring specific medical conditions, whole grains are good for you. Anyone who says otherwise is either uninformed or is trying to sell snake oil.

Didn’t feel antagonized, just pointed out the fact your attitude over a recipe was unnecessary.
-
You do realize you’re antagonizing someone for sharing an easily adjustable recipe, right? @SisterSueGetsFit Hope you enjoy! Hubby & I have been very happy with it. :)

Have you tried homemade with zucchini noodles? I’ll add a photo from my keto book. It’s really good, and you have control of the sodium.

At 28 my knees felt 70yo and ready to quit. Going on 34 now and they’re stronger than they’ve been my entire adult life, and I credit it to walking. WebMD has a sample walking plan (https://www.webmd.com/osteoarthritis/oa-start-walking-program) to help strengthen knees. I took a more aggressive approach (began with 30mins…

Personal experience, I upgraded to Fitbit’s inspire hr in august and have been pretty happy with it. About the only problem I’ve had with it is that about once a month the screen will blackout and needs to be reset on the charger in order to get it functioning again. Data isn't lost though, and the heart rate tracker has…

It might be worth working some more veggies into the plan (mini cucumber or two for a snack, celery sticks with lunch, etc) to fill out nutritional needs, but if it’s working and you’re satisfied/can maintain it, that’s great! Sounds like it gives you plenty of wiggle room for holidays & special occassions. :)

That really sucks! 🙁 *hug*
