  • I want to look younger and cute as hell.
  • Well in the past I would have just given up. But I realize this is the long haul. So if I’m losing weight at a super slow rate, hey I’m still losing, what should it matter. This is how I eat now. My permanent changes including:discipline with prepping my water bottle - wash each day and load with water, ice and a splash of…
  • I cycle between weight loss and maintenance. Keeps me sane. As long as the long-term trend is going downward. I figure if I’m in this for the long haul there’s no rush. This has to be something I can live with.
  • Interesting thread. I do find higher protein meals/snacks seem to keep me fuller. I also like to drink ice cold water - sometimes with cucumber slices, surprisingly helpful in reducing my appetite. There are days I want to eat more and days I don’t. Keep at it and good luck! ☺️
  • 183.2 this morning. So My work was not undone. Now to progress from here. Below 180 takes me out of obese bmi. Drinking a lot of water (ice cold, with cucumber slices from my insulated water bottle) was very helpful on the weekend.
  • I wonder if Canadian sizing is any different than US? Is that possible? I’m 5’5”, down to 185 and wear size 16. I do have a thick waist.
  • I’d be interested but I have no idea how groups work.
  • Villagio white bread, peanut butter and 1% milk. And black coffee.
  • Would I be crazy to suggest maybe you are at the right weight for you? Maybe this is where your body wants to be and is sustainable. Just a thought.
  • Thanks for all replies. Something to think about!
  • Well I was hungry and ate more than intended / a corn dog, pork souvlaki, a caramel apple with nuts and a spudnut!! Plus a few sips from my kids slushes. We were there for 7 hours so I logged that I walked at slow pace for 4 of those hours. That gave me 1000 extra calories....is that right? Doesn’t seem to be. But if true…

  • Greek yogurt and graham crackers hit the sweet spot for me. And I just ate some cucumbers soaked in vinegar...instead of chips!
  • Corn dog!! I Like that idea.

  • This is helpful to me. I’m new here!! I was considering not counting apples but now I will, as that sounds right - a calorie is a calorie, whether it be fruit or junk food. I’ve been exercising to “earn” more food as I find it sometimes hard to stay in the calories recommended to me (1360).
  • Thanks all!! I never really go crazy with the food, but I’m trying to stick to my calories and that’s hard enough with “normal” food. I had a short term goal of losing ten pounds quickly, that’s why I’m trying to be careful. A spud nut is a donut made with potatoes....yum !!

  • I’m 49 and 5’5” and had accepted my plumpness - was hovering at 185 for a while as my all time high. But then I gained ten pounds and now I feel it’s just too much. I’m not sure what my goal is - for now it’s 175. I’m afraid to want to lose too much because I find it’s hard to maintain. I just started - today is my day 3.…
  • I’m brand new. Just trying to eat like I usually do but with some healthier choices and smaller amounts. A pretty even mix of protein and carbs. Bought some Greek yogurt and small bags of microwave popcorn for snacks.
  • Oh thank god - I can eat more if I log some exercise?? That helps!!
  • Second day for me and I’m dying...1360 calories is not a lot of food!! But I’m trying!!! I really want to drop ten pounds fairly quickly then slowdown.
  • I am brand new here and I eat at night too. What I’m going to do is to have planned snacks for evening, save some calories for then.
