Started in August at 195. Today’s weight: 174.4. Same weight for about 3-4weeks now, so I’m maintaining and that’s good. But I’d like to get to goal weight of 165. What are my barriers? Birthday tomorrow, supper out Saturday. All inclusive holiday at end of January (Mexico). Also severely cold weather, as low as minus 40 degrees (which oddly is same temp in Celsius and farenheight). I’m thinking maybe all of January should be a maintenance month. I’m okay with gaining up to 3 pounds on my trip (I mean, all inclusive), but still try to make good choices. Back at it in February?

Sometimes a maintenance break is just the thing, for best happiness and overall long-term progress.
Enjoy your trip! :flowerforyou:1 -

Well in the past I would have just given up. But I realize this is the long haul. So if I’m losing weight at a super slow rate, hey I’m still losing, what should it matter. This is how I eat now.
My permanent changes including:discipline with prepping my water bottle - wash each day and load with water, ice and a splash of lemon. Eating more protein and less carbs - and adding more veges to supper. My husband made Hamburger Hrlper last night. I had a small portion and filled rest of my plate with lettuce, a bit of crumbled blue cheese and creamy dressing.0
