Thanks! I do know what to do and I wish I could determine what is preventing me from overcoming this current obstacle. You describe “flipping a switch” and that’s exactly what I need to do!

That’s part of it and Thanksgiving. Prior to this slow down I logged and measured everything I put in my mouth. Loosing weight was mostly diet changes in addition to activity level. After Thanksgiving I seem to have a hankering for carbs and sugar (which I was able to control before). I feel like I can’t satisfy my…

There are so many factors that contribute to weight loss, however, there are a few things (I believe) that you can do to facilitate your weight loss. 1. Hydrate daily. I try to drink at least half my water early in the morning. 2. Weigh and measure anything you put in your mouth. 3. Be consistent in your habits. 4. Be…

I am motivated by my health. I was at the highest weight of my life and my BMI was in the obese category. I am almost 60 and my husband is 12 years older than me. Although my children are grown I want to live a long and quality independent life. I truly hated how I looked and felt. I have lost 60+ pounds and I have gained…

You look great! Amazing how quickly your body can change. Thanks for sharing.

Love your mindset! Really good advice.
-
Thank you. Still have a little more progress to make, but I do feel great!

Everyday! I use a weight app (Happy Scale), which allows me to see my weight loss trend.

I think they don't look terrible. Think of them as a badge of success and accomplishment.

I am 59 and live in Minnesota. I have lost 62 pounds since last August. My goal is 28 more pounds. I hope we can support each other. If you would like to friend me on MFP...I would be open to that.

Unless you have a small frame this sounds low to me. Good luck on the last two pounds and with maintenance. Meeting one's goal can be fulfilling.

I weigh myself the same time everyday. I also use a weight app (happy scale) to show my weight loss trend. This REALLY helps me to maintain a growth mindset regarding weight loss. Weight loss is truly not linear and has multiple variables that can cause weight loss to fluctuate. I found it keeps me accountable and I am…

I agree. Sometimes when I know that I have to estimate calories and macros I do a 24 hour fast before eating out. I don't do this often, but psychologically it helps me to keep things in perspective and not panic!

I strategically choose a restaurant and decide what I'm going to order ahead of time. If I want to indulge, then I plan for it by adjusting my calorie/macro intake before eating out. It takes a little more time and effort, but I feel it is worth it to stay on track. It's all about your mindset.

I love your new look!

I'm still going to pilates, but being more careful. I did notice the classes are smaller, but it could be because of the time of the year (Spring break). I also work one to one with a trainer. It is one room, one person. So I'm only around the trainer. Again...being careful of the surfaces I touch.

Can you give more direction on how you created the chick parmesan? I eat low carb and use a lot of KETO recipes, that they don't always work for me.

Don't be discouraged. You are 10 pounds closer to your goal! Change your mindset. Each pound you lose - no matter what the time frame is - gets you healthier and closer to your goal.

I'm glad you can now fit into a shirt that you couldn't before. Its a great feeling!

Thanks! Another tool to add to my toolkit.

One week down is an accomplishment. Now you know you can succeed week two. Be patient and consistent. I started my weight loss journey in August (down 57 pounds) and I still have to remind myself to be patient. If I am consistent...it happens. I found that using a weight tracking app, like Happy scale or Libra, can be…

To be accurate you won't be able to use the "add a little of this and a little of that" method. Use the recipe function on MFP. Measure everything before you put it into the pan. You will need to determine how many servings to get calorie and macro amounts. Once you have a recipe you can use it again, measuring the same as…

Ignore her comments. When she is successful tell her she has done a wonderful job. She will eventually get the message.

There are many reasons why daily weight can fluctuate. Be consistent and patient. If the issue doesn't resolve itself, then re-evaluate your habits.

It's amazing how quickly you feel great. It's really exciting when you see the difference in how your clothes fit and how your energy level changes. Celebrate the small victories.

I'd love to change the language we use from "cheat day" to something else. Really the whole mindset that we need to give special significance to eating a specific food or meal that we may not eat often. Eating is eating and we should never feel guilty about what and when we eat. Assigning a name, as cheat day, is a way to…

I think its a great idea to have a small goal! The weight loss journey can be overwhelming, so you have the right mindset. I hope you get the support you need. I admire you for making this choice now. It will change your future outlook. Good luck! Check in and let us know how you are doing.

Thank you. My take away is to continue with my program as is and be patient.

Adjust as you need. Reduce, replace, or exclude ingredients. It does sound really good!
