It's so refreshing to hear someone express this type of satisfaction and growth. Happy for you <3 What calculator did you use to calculate TDEE?
Thank you so much. As for the TDEE calculator, I actually just plugged my numbers into three free online calculators I found with Google and then worked with the…

Indeed! No more end target, no end date. Health is for life! Years ago when I peaked at 216 lbs, yes, 5'6" and 216 lbs, I dreamed of being 160 lbs which is just 6 pounds away. Maybe I'll get there, maybe I won't, but it really doesn't matter. As long as I'm fit and healthy for the rest of my life, my actual weight is far…

Awesome! You must be feeling great. Will you set a new goal or just work on maintenance?
-
Well done! You look great and I bet you feel amazing. Keep it up!
-
Fantastic. Sounds like you are on track for additional fat loss. Well done!

Well done, and welcome back. I'm sure it is daunting, but the first thing you should do is ditch the drive thru. Although convenient, there is little of nutritional value at drive thrus and buffets. As a start, take time on Sunday to prepare as many healthy snacks and meals as possible. It will take the guesswork out of…

Rebalancing my gut biome in order to prevent future bouts of Gout. The happy side-effect is that it, in addition to eating better, should improve my metabolism and ability to lose weight.

Good point. I hadn't been doing legs that much as they are already pretty well defined because of all my walking. I've been over 10,000 a day for about 3 months and I've been over 12,000 per day for the last few weeks. I've also heard doing legs is a great way to prevent lower back injury, so lots of…

Cheers, I appreciate the feedback. I'll come back here in a few more weeks and provide an update. Again, I really appreciate all the advice from you and others.
-
Wow, way to put in the work. Fantastic!

I'm certainly not lean, but that is the goal. I've always wanted more of a Brad Pitt in Snatch type physic as opposed to a bodybuilder type. Funny you should mention legs; I've just added them into my routine.

Cheers!

You are correct. I have a fairly large chest and arms for my height and I'm not that concerned with gaining muscle or size, although I'd like to try and keep the definition I currently have. As mentioned above, my stomach is as flat or flatter than many guys I see, but I have substantial love handles and lower back fat, so…
Only a multi week average can give you a fair indication of your fat loss.
That makes a lot of sense. I do track my weight loss weekly and will continue to do so. Given what you and others have said, I'll try to be a little more patient and see what the next 4 weeks brings. Given my temptation to binge…

Here's a good guide for your target weekly weight loss:
Week 2 and 3 were 2.1 and 1.7, so too much according to your chart because my "goal weight" is 160 and I'm 175 as of my last weigh-in.
-
How much have you lost in a few weeks? Posting your exact weigh-ins will help us see the trend.
I was losing .5 to 1 pound while at about a 500 calorie deficit. The first week at about a 1000 calorie deficit, I still only lost .8, then 2.1, and last week 1.7. It has helped my losses, as least in the last…

Thanks for the insight. This week, I'm working 100 per day back into the diet. If I continue to lose, I will add another 100, which will bring to a more reasonable 1800 per day.
-
Outstanding; good on ya'! :)
-
Good to know. I may be pushing it. I'll see how this week goes and how I feel at the gym, then think about increasing slowing to something more sustainable. Thanks!
-
Cheers, that gives me something to think about. I am impatient by nature, and perhaps that's an issue.
-
Outstanding!

Indeed! It is much better than sitting at home. Although I still go to the gym, I've added walking to my "exercise plan" and it is paying big dividends. I wear my Fitbit constantly and generally make it above the recommended 10,000 steps a day. Since doing this 4 weeks ago, I have been down in weight every week without…

Absolutely fantastic. You look great and I'm sure your feel amazing. Thanks for the inspiration!

Fantastic! Like many, I find I have to eat more/eat healthier foods as opposed to eating less. But, do whatever works for you! Keep it up!

AWESOME!

I have had a DEXA scan before and it was very telling, i.e., I was carrying way more fat than I thought. Although expensive, I think I'll wait until I'm feeling "fit" and have another one. Cheers!
-
Awesome! That's actually great motivation for me. Thanks!

Will do! Thanks.
