  • So I had a 2kg gain in the last week at the end of the month which put me at a total gain of 1.1kg. Super annoyed with myself for it. I let myself have some higher carb days (up to 120 total carbs on some days). I even had a few days of nausea during that week and a night spent with my head in the toilet. I'm going to…
  • @TheMrWobbly Most of my weight is now sitting on my belly, hips and thighs, so I'm hoping it will all come off there now. I've been able to achieve some of my goal for the month. I started going out for me once a week to my local game store and playing D&D with a group of people. Been enjoying the experience so far, 2…
  • Well I'm back under the 75kg mark again, so now to just keep it there for the rest of the month. Heaviest recorded 103.8kg (Jun 2018) Keto Starting: 99.6kg (3rd Oct 2019) Currently: 74.7kg (30th Aug 2020) Final goal weight: 55-58kg September weight goal: consistently 74kg or less Sunday 6 Sept: 75.2kg Sunday 13 Sept:…
  • @chinatowninchina Thank you :) I still have about 15kg I'd like to lose, with a minimum of 10kg to bring me into my healthy BMI range. Of course when my goal for the month was to stay below the 75kg mark, my first weigh-in puts me over that. It's only a small gain, and is entirely possible it's a result of my scales just…
  • Hey Guys. I've been away from the chat side of things for a couple months now, but have still been recording in the spreadsheet each week. I was a little disheartened when my loss screeched to a halt in February, and even recorded a gain in June (albeit a very small one). Heaviest recorded 103.8kg (Jun 2018) Keto Starting:…

  • Starting to feel a little disheartened. In the last 8 weeks, I've struggled to drop even 2kg, yet previously I'd been dropping an average of 1kg a week. I knew the losses would slow down, but It's frustrating seeing the scales barely move, and day to day can have a 1kg swing. It's like my body has said "well, we've made it…
  • HW: 103.8kg SW: 99.6kg GW: 55kg March GW: 77kg March 1st: 80kg March 8th: 79.8kg March 15th 79.6kg March 22nd: 78.5kg March 29th: 78.3kg It was still a loss for the month overall, but I'm disappointed I didn't lose more. I don't have my hopes up for much loss for next month either, as all the gyms, pools, etc are all…
  • HW: 103.8kg SW: 99.6kg GW: 55kg March GW: 77kg March 1st: 80kg March 8th: 79.8kg March 15th 79.6kg March 22nd: 78.5 Finally a noticeable drop on the scales again. I'm not going to hold my breath, but I'm hoping I've tipped over the side of the plateau finally :) I've decreased my total carbs down to less the 30 per day…
  • HW: 103.8kg SW: 99.6kg GW: 55kg March GW: 77kg March 1st: 80kg March 8th: 79.8kg March 15th 79.6kg Not expecting to get to my GW for this month, not with this plateau blocking progress :( Just have to keep pushing through it. It is pretty frustrating though. 5 weeks now with no significant loss.
  • HW: 103.8kg SW: 99.6kg GW: 55kg March GW: 77kg March 1st: 80kg March 8th: 79.8kg My goal for February was to be 79kg, which I got to, however I think I'm starting to plateau as my weight doesn't seem to be moving very much, hovering between 79kg and 80kg. I've previously been averaging about 1kg a week. Some weeks a little…
  • Provided I don't put anything back on before the end of the month, I'll be getting my new ear piercings as I've now reached my 2nd target goal (every 10kg lost I'm rewarding myself). As of today's weigh in I've lost 20 kg since October, putting me half way to my minimum goal weight. My hope it to get to 55kg, but goal is…
  • First post for the month but I have been reading the comments and posting in the spreadsheet. HW: 103.8kg SW: 99.6kg January end weight was 83.9kg Goal weight for February is 81.x kg Wednesday Feb 5th: 83.2kg Monday Feb 10th: 82.8kg Sunday Feb 16th: 80.5kg Sunday Feb 23rd: Saturday Feb 29th:
  • Had my final weigh in for the month. Started January at 86.6kg, and made it down to 83.9kg. My January goal was to get to 83kg. A week and a half ago I had a weight gain of 500g, and I felt sure I wouldn't get to my goal. Just goes to show to never give up 😃
  • @herblovinmom Yes I've been to the Dr and results aren't too bad. My blood pressure is the lowest I remember it ever being, even lower than it was when I was taking meds, except when I had the haemorrhage after my 2nd daughter was born. Most of my bloods have come back normal. I didn't get given the 2 hour glucose load to…
  • After having a scale gain this last week, I did have 3 non-scale victories this last 2 weeks. First one is I went to the Mt Lofty Summit with my kids and partner to watch the sunset, which we do once every 6 months or so. We park at the bottom of the driveway so we don't have to pay for parking. Usually I'd get maybe 1/4…
  • Would this be the same when testing blood ketones? I test my blood ketones each week, hence having specific number range.
  • Not far from this months goal. Not going to push for it, but it is within sight with 2 weeks to go still. I've been averaging 1kg loss each week since beginning keto in early Oct 2019. 2kg to lose in 2 - 2&1/2 weeks has been doable, but I also know that it'll start getting harder to lose as I have less to lose. HW: 103.8kg…
  • Hi. I test my ketones once a week. I'm generally between 1.5 and 2.5 mmol/L. I've had weeks as low as 0.7 and still recorded a loss on the scales. I try to check in the mornings when still fasted from overnight, as I noticed my levels are lower after food. If you're concerned about the numbers, perhaps see how you go for a…
  • Happy New Year to everyone. I hope you have all been safe where ever you are. I'm in Australia and the weather and fires here have been horrendous. I have not weighted since a couple days before Christmas, but I was able to keep in ketosis even with the small amounts of extra carbs consumed, so I'm hoping it won't have…
  • @fanncy0626 On the first page of this thread is a link to a google document spreadsheet. Scroll across to the end of the 1st page, right click on the column at the end and tell it to add new column right and fill in you details like the others have done :) Good Luck
  • Hi. I'm jumping aboard to keep recording this month. This will be my 3rd month of Keto (or any form of 'diet'). So far I have managed to lose 9.4kg since I began in early October. My goal this month is pretty simple: keep up with the diet as close as I can, and not be overly concerned with the scales. I'd like to see my…
  • Hi. I'm very new to keto, or dieting of any kind. I had someone share this TED talk video on a discussion I'm in, and it might help explain a little about the roll of fat vs carbs as far as glucose and insulin is effected. I don't remember it saying anything about carbs being required for exercising, but I thought it might…
  • Since I started keto, and recording in on MFP, I've had 2 days I've made 1000 calories. Every other day has been below that, and my carbs generally 15-20 total (not factoring dietary fibre) So far I have lost 5kg in 5 weeks, and centimetres off all of my measurements too.. I've still got a long way to go till my goal…
  • I have been using the blood ketone test strips, and admittedly I'm only new in the last 5 weeks to keto. My readings have all shown I'm in ketosis, but only testing once a week. Since the 1st week, I've not had any of the "keto flu" symptoms, so I'm guessing I'm not leaving ketosis either. I've been mostly keeping my total…
  • I'm 37yr and 163cm. I weigh-in on Mondays My Numbers: SW: 103.8kg which was done Jul 2018 CW: 94.7kg GW by Nov 30th: 89kg LTGW: 55-58kg (which I hope to reach by mid 2021 or sooner: 40-50kg is a lot to lose)
  • anxmom if you go to the monthly challenge thread (4th down on the top part of the group I think) you will find a link to open a google doc spreadsheet. I believe the link is in the very top post in that thread.
  • I'm the same. I have no idea how to add people, except to accept an incoming request.
  • Thanks for sharing this information Sree. I always love watching TED talks :) It was heartwarming to see the 1st Doctor (Peter) sharing his story, and trying hard to not choke on his tears. I had never thought of the obesity being the result of insulin resistance. I guess I just assumed that what society was saying had to…
  • I've tried a very similar cloud bread recipe. It had chives and pepper in it. Was quite yummy as a quick snack while racing out the door to work.
