 this comment. Ugh I’m so mad right now at that person. I just want to give you a big hug. Congratulations on your amazing success.

You are awesome! Thanks for sharing and inspiring.

So this hasn’t happened to me yet, but I started following people on MFP and insta who have lost significant amounts and many have lots of extra skin and several have experienced significant hair loss, to the point where they wear wigs or hair clip-ins. They seem like they lost in a healthy way, from their posts, but who…

Last time I lost a significant amount of weight, I had a longtime friend who would constantly tell me it wasn’t fair, she wished I would gain the weight back so we could lose together, I was making her feel fat cuz I looked so good, etc etc. Then I got sick and had to quit exercising for a while, and I gained a lot back.…

I made keto buckeyes for my boo for Valentine’s Day.

^^^ all this. Also try upping your protein.

In another thread I kept reading how people would ask folks who had lost a lot of weight what their secret was. Many said that they credited MFP. Several of those people then went on to say that the person seeking advice replied with “MFP doesn’t work”. But in the end, MFP is just a tool! It works if you work it!

@glennagael you look lovely in that! Thanks, @TheMrWobbly!! Great job on portion control. It’s great when your stomach shrinks and your hunger cues start to align!! I miss Chinese food  I can’t eat it because of a garlic allergy (and it’s too hard to determine whether a recipe has garlic or not). This thread…

One more note: perfection is a lie. Never and always sound great, but lead to an all or nothing mindset that can make me feel like if I fall down, I might as well stay down. I built in cheat meals and focused on my weekly numbers. This has helped me to keep going. At first I did cheats once per week, then once every other…

I agree. I cut sugar first, then alcohol (not 100%, but drastically reduced), then flour. Once I felt comfortable at each step, I added the next change. Then reduced carbs further, then started tracking calories, then started honing in on my macros. This staged process was very easy for me and has helped me to successfully…

My boyfriend lost 50 lbs from all my clean cooking! Women are constantly checking him out and flirting with him :rage: So now I have a petty reason to KEEP losing weight.

I improved my cheeseburger salad Ground beef, Colby Jack, sautéed mushrooms, tomato, bacon pieces, dill relish, Dijon mustard, baby spinach. It’s my new favorite meal.

I like raspberries (and/or blueberries/strawberries) with cream or ricotta and I break up dark chocolate on top. You can also blend cocoa powder and erythritol into the ricotta first then top with berries (and chocolate).

Thanks for this. I downloaded free kindle edition from Amazon. I’m not really sure about his approach though. I’m not a never/always person. I feel this mentality sets one up for failures. Anything, even one bite, on the “never” list is “pig slop binge”? Like, I practice sugar avoidance. But does that mean I’ll never eat a…

I’ve done green giant. It was good. But I haven’t made my own so nothing to compare it to.

I practice sugar/flour/alcohol avoidance and log everything. I try to stay under 1400 calories, and I find that without sugar, I’m just not nearly as hungry as I used to be. I love sparkling water and tea. 75 down since June 2019.

I try to keep the 80/20 mindset and make 80% healthy choices. That’s like 60% higher than I used to do. It helps me to stay focused. Perfection is an illusion.

I know, right? This thread is so inspiring. Congratulations to all!!! Keep it up, you amazing people!!!

This week’s NSV: I’ve never had so many guys rush to open doors for me. I’m loving it. Doors are very difficult to open.

Sent you a friend request. I’ve been struggling a bit too and I’d love to hear about solutions you’ve found.

@twillsheep Hi Theresa. Welcome! Congrats on your transformation and maintenance!! I’ve been there. Have you tried compression sleeves? I wear incrediwear ankle sleeves because I have old ankle injuries, and they work great for walking or even just hanging around the house. They’re super comfortable. Best of luck to you!
