  • My 14 y/o son has started asking me for nutrition advice! Healthy habits starting to rub off. Also my boyfriend lost over 40lbs just because of how I’ve been cooking. He looks amazing. And things have definitely improved in the romance area for us 😉
  • Happy 2020 everyone!! @nighthawk584 what a fantastic start to your year! Congrats!! My NSV: I partied my butt off last night. Had a great time, drank too much, but I managed to avoid the giant pizza that the group bought at the end of the night. I love pizza so much, and I really like that particular pizza spot - in fact,…
  • Sure! I used Wholesome Yum’s pecan pie recipe, with her almond flour crust (I did half pecan flour for the crust). Watch the video to get proper consistency for caramel sauce because I didn’t and I cooked mine too long and the finished pie came out more fudgy than gooey. Flavor was perfect tho. Would make again but I’d…
  • Had a lovely holiday with some reasonable indulgences. Made a keto Christmas dinner for the family and a friend, including a low-carb pecan pie and low-carb mulled wine. I love monk fruit and erythritol!! Easy to get back in gear today because, even tho I exceeded my typical calorie allowance the last couple of days, I…
  • Thank you for being brave and sharing your struggles. That sounds really hard. Sending you big virtual hugs from the vast interwebs. Not sure if my tips will help you, but this is what I did to help myself: I cut sugar, flour, and alcohol from my diet and pretty much cured my hormone issues. I’m older than you, but I…
  • Stood for the entire day today and I barely even noticed. Before I would have been in so much pain, I would have sat every 20 minutes.
  • You were beautiful before, but you are absolutely stunning now!
  • I love this thread. One thing that really stuck out to me - whether the visual weight change was big or small, the confidence and joy SHINES through the eyes and smile of the "now" pictures. Taking care of oneself is such a boost to spirit and soul. Congrats to all who are caring for and loving themselves. You DESERVE it!
  • They are like a really soft fluffy hamburger bun. Definitely a lot firmer than meringue. And they have kind of a cheddar bread taste to them. Be careful putting something too wet on them. Also be sure to bake them long enough, and let them cool all the way before using them. The first ones were too soft but with an extra…
  • And one more item to add: I just made myself a lovely little dessert of ricotta cheese, cashews, cacao nibs, maple extract, and monk fruit sweetener. Really tasty!! I love my maple extract.
  • @seltzermint555 you look like you're 28 now. Unless your profile pic is mega old hahaha.
  • Doin the spaghetti squash thing tonight. Making my own sauce (allergic to garlic) with crushed tomato and basil, sauteed mushrooms, onions, and peppers, parmesan, and precooked alfresco sweet Italian chicken sausage. Adding butter and colby jack to the top of the spaghetti squash. Last night did cloud bread bun cheese…
  • @mloumason what is that delicious looking cheese concoction?
  • I know @herblovinmom has seen this pic already in Keto group, but posting here too cuz I so proud of it. Delicious cloud bread bun (from here) burgers! Had to bake them for like 50 min at 300F for them to be solid enough for the burger. Really good stuff!
  • @herblovinmom what a neat chart!! Thank you for sharing. So I made those cloud bread rolls yesterday. Turned out pretty good! Definitely needed to bake for more like 50 minutes at 300F tho. Check out this awesome burger pic with cloud bread bun!
  • I love this thread. I'm ready to re-commit to de-cluttering. I moved from NJ to Oregon to Florida within 2 years, so I got rid of a TON. But 4 years in FL, I have managed to accumulate a lot. Time to whack away at it again. Agree with a lot of the sentiments regarding Christmas. Convincing Americans to buy junk for each…
  • Not sure what I weigh now, but was last weighed at 258 on Oct 1 2019. Before pics were somewhere around 315. Before pic with my hair up was taken in March of this year, the one with my hair down was Sept 2018. After pics are from Dec 18 this year.
  • @zaraizzy56 you're not alone! Feel free to add me. My food diary is open to friends.
  • Aww ((((hugs)))) I feel ya girl. Bouillon or bone broth is my trick when I’m just hungry hungry all day. Especially nice in winter time!!
  • Nice work! Your midsection - wow! What a transformation! I am jealous because that appears to be the place I am losing LAST. Jeans getting baggy in the legs but still tight in the stomach. You look awesome.
  • great thread! Thanks for sharing all your ideas. Looking forward to trying these. I've been sick all this week, and yesterday I was like, my body is desperate for carbs, and I just said, fine, body, have what you want to fight off this terrible sick. So I hit 100 net carbs. Yikes! Back on the wagon today, but I feel like…
  • @anglyn1 that soup looks amazing. I am going to make that for sure.
  • Welcome, @Adamneuf! There is a ton of information out there, and lots of options. It can get overwhelming, so it's great that you are doing your research to prepare yourself! I spent a few months reducing my carbs before going full keto. I cut out sugar first, then flour (pasta, bread), but didn't cut out whole food carbs…
  • Looking forward to getting into "normal" sizes, as I have never had much luck finding anything plus sized in thrift shops. This is a NSV I am REALLY looking forward to. For now, belts help!
  • @bellebee97 you released almost 20% of your total body weight. Sounds like a success story to me. You look fantastic, btw.
  • You are a super :star:!!!
  • Losing 80lbs is an amazing success story! Don't diminish your incredible achievement because you have additional goals. You are awesome! I have lost about 80lbs as well, but many around me either don't notice, or act like it's just a small step on my overall goal of not being fat. Because they still see me as fat. I'm just…
  • So my friend made a lovely dinner for us last night: French onion mozzarella and swiss stuffed chicken breast with sauteed mushrooms, over purple cauliflower buttermilk mash topped with micro greens, served with white asparagus and roasted red peppers. It was AMAZING. Wish I snapped a pic because it was beautiful too. We…
  • @Safari_Gal_ What a good idea to start your stew at night! I keep getting behind on my dinner plans because I keep forgetting to start my crock pot early enough, and I don't want it to cook while I am in my fasting window after 6pm because that would make me insane with hunger LOL. I am going to try making my roast when I…
  • @mloumason i  cheese.
