  • Steps: 3,410 Long day with good sunshine, a quick visit with @jugar for supper at a small Chinese restaurant in Bradford, VT (great company, slightly disappointing food); then, I had rehearsal from 7-8:30 en route back towards home and now, almost in bed. Some might, I’ll feel as though it’s possible to catch up. Not…
  • Steps today: 3,222 More exercise to come tomorrow with the Arthritis and Diabetes classes. That’ll help some with toning. Yay! Here’s to a good start to a new week with eating the right amounts and being happy with the pace of weight loss. I get impatient! Hugs y’all, G’night
  • Steps: 2,200 Study day at home with not much exercise - until picking up daughter Monica in White River this afternoon. I ended up making tomato sauce with spinach, onions, and ground turkey. Came out pretty well and I ate an actual serving of pasta. Unreal! It’s not a lot but it’s definitely enough. Lights out. More soon!
  • That helps so much, doesn’t it? I’ve been including the phrase, “I used to...” or, “The story I told myself...” It definitely contributes to my serenity. @Micki48 Friday steps: 5,200 @jugar safe trip home - your niece, family, and sister can’t wait to see you! @Terytha as a massage therapist myself may I offer you the…
  • Thursday already! OK. @micki48 Steps 3,200 @jugar 186.7 (when will you be back?) I can tell my stress levels combined with heavy protein and lower fibre has added to my bloat this week! It seems that my go to word to remind myself of my commitment is "Focus". Of course, I use this word to complete regular tasks doing desk…
  • Steps - Monday 5,500. Tuesday 5,800 First math test passed in today after a frazzled Monday trying to download the damnable thing!! So, my sweet spouse made an amazing steak dinner and I over ate - mostly in the form of steak. Today, I’m a bit bloated and still moderately full. Didn’t stop me from eating today,..lol! More…
  • Steps today: 4,487 (with total of 14 floors - laundry this afternoon!) It was lovely to see my 3rd place ranking. I'm aiming for more steady decreases in the next few weeks and months. Pretty soon, I'll be walking to and from work so my steps will increase. In the meantime, my plan this week is to 1. sleep 8 hours per…
  • Geez! How'd it get to be Friday already? Good grief. Well, I'll catch up with two days of thoughts so I won't have as much hanging out there to think about and read. Inspirations - hmmm...I admit that I haven't had that many over the years. It's part of the old negative self-talk which I'm moving away from day by day. I…
  • Steps: 4,200 We had a snow day for school today! It made the whole afternoon feel like a bit of a vacation. I took a nap, did some homework, then had supper - an extra serving which made the carbs go a little nuts. I’m used to being a bit under in those. Back to better serving sizes tomorrow! I’ll catch up on the question,…
  • @micki48 Steps: 6,201 @jugar 186.8 I have a video in my head of you on your big ball bouncing and yelling. It is a good way to use the big ball for sure!![/quote] Here’s a fun video for y’all bouncing on balls. https://youtu.be/6amRqbEj4rs It’s been around for a while but I like it. I’m enjoying reading your posts…
  • Steps: 3,540 Busy day - half at work then a three hour math class. I’m feeling more comfortable with the concepts so we’ll see how it all works out over the next few months. I plan to get more exercise during work tomorrow, and I’ll start walking to and from by the end of the month, good weather provided. Have a great…
  • Steps: 3,300 Slow compared to other days - getting my schedule sorted out. Going to bed early ‘cause I’m plumb tuckered out! @YinxFed I’m so glad you’re experiencing some relief. It really is amazing stuff. I’m thinking about my February plan. I’m going to go flour and sugar free 5-6 days per week. I think that’ll help my…
  • Steps: 5,550 Happy weekend! I'll be back online in the morning. I hope y'all have a good, relaxing night. more soon.
  • Oh, I'm so sorry you're not right here in Vermont so I could show you everything in person! I'll try to make the instructions easy for your poor achy head. Look at your hand where your thumb attaches. (stretch thumb and forefinger to make the letter "L"). In the angle of the "web" where the fleshy part meets up with bones…
  • You're incredible! Look how many times you said "no" to some very tempting food items. Not only that, you went to the gym Monday & Wednesday, did taikwondo Tu/Th, stayed hydrated, rested, and destressed whenever you could. You'll have enough strength to smack that husband of yours for losing 6 pounds so quickly! (that…
  • @jugar sorry I'm tardy putting in my weight this week - don't get Rosie after me! It's 188.3 I'm sure it'll get moving again soon. being in the water seems to make a difference in additional water weight. amazing how much we can absorb through the skin. of course, baking cookies (and eating some dough-can't change *all* of…
  • I'm enjoying it more and more every day - thanks for asking! It's an interesting combination of secretarial tasks like making appointments for the community pool people; mopping up the puddles created by getting out of the pool; answering the phone; retrieving the mail for that department; communicating with housekeeping…
  • Steps: 4,700 It’s been a busy week learning chemistry, statistics, and new job stuff including names, cleaning the pool, computer software, etc. More munching. More exercise. It’ll even out but I’m ready for bed now. G’night!
  • Today’s steps: 3800 School day after morning at work - trying to jump into the computer system with almost training. Yeehah!
  • Steps for today: 6,030 I had a lot of walking for Orientation day without my phone...more exercise happening every day. Yay! G’night.
  • @micki48 3,400 New job starts tomorrow plus making good food choices. I was a little surprised when I went over my goal by 100. Geez! I’ll chalk it up to getting into anxiety mode instead of “doing what I’m doing while I’m doing it” frame of mind! More soon. Sleep tight!
  • Saturday's steps: 4,303 I'll write more tomorrow. TIme to sleep - I'll be wearing ear plugs tonight (found them the other day - yay!) because my spouse has a lousy cough/cold and keeps hacking while sleeping. Yuck. I insisted we go to the clinic/ER at our local little hospital and had the good news that 1. It's not…
  • Steps: 4,320 I hope your day has been better, @micki48. @bunnybuns1111 I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m also sorry it’s so hard on your dad. Have a great weekend, y’all! Sleep well.
  • Hi Amy, I’m glad you’re here ‘cause I need motivation to get moving more, too. My new job should help since there’re more chores like hourly mopping of the pool area floors, etc. See you back here soon. It’s a new day and we can take 10 extra steps each day...each hour. Yes, we can.
  • @lovethyneighbor Itchy and red along with moving towards your torso sounds like an allergic reaction to me. I’ve had the fungal issue of “ringworm” (not actually a worm but internal fungus gone awry) and that can take some balancing of sugars to rebalance. I know you’re at work but if you can, try using some baking soda on…
  • @micki48 Steps today: 3,350 Wednesday: 2,985 Did I give you Tuesday's step count? I couldn't remember. Thanks! @Gidgitgoescrazy A few years ago, I had a heck of a time keeping comfortably balanced while moving on the tread mill. My coach reminded me to look ahead and not down - also, start slowly without holding on,…
  • @jugar weigh in for today: 188.3 @micki48 sorry for such a stressful day. I'll get steps to you tomorrow. G'night everyone! More tomorrow. Time to sleep.
  • Monday steps: 2,320 Tuesday steps: 3,850
  • Hi ho! Great ideas about sharing and cultivating connections! I’m reminded of dealing with my daughter, Monica when she was in late high school. She asked me to remind her about a report due in a month so she’d be motivated to be on time. Before I agreed, I thought about all of the times she made similar requests and…
