ooooooo, I really like this question.... I feel like i classify "fit" and "healthy" differently. I think being fit is more tied into performance and aesthetic. For example, being a body builder, powerlifter, professional hockey player. All these guys and gals would have excellent performance and physiques but the…

My girlfriend did the mentioned program in August of 2020. It is more "entry level" but it is effective. She lost 4-6 lbs. This was accomplished with a very mediocre diet. For someone who is starting with more weight and a better diet i would say they could easily see more results. good luck.

Real food is always preferred but mass gainers are certainly an easy way to get more calories. I know someone who drank 4 of them a day and managed to bulk up to just over 2 hundred LBS over the coarse of 4-5 Years.

things that can help suppress hunger when you are in your fast are minty sugar free gum, brushing your teeth with minty toothpaste, black coffee, and sparkling water.

certainly valid. the calculation makes my maintenance calories 2350. In actuality my maintenance is 2450. It is an almost perfect guideline. I am 5'6 and currently 155. When i a want to gain muscle i need at least 3000 calories per day to be gaining continuously.

What J said is right. Gaining weight for me has been a very taxing process. I graduated high school at 129 lbs standing at 5'6 and couldn't gain weight. Eating a balanced diet I have to ingest 2450 to maintain. I have worked my way up to 155 and fairly lean. Instead of bulking and cutting (this is because i never let…

Your muscle gain looks a lot more rewarding when you start at a lower body fat %. Cutting first is beneficial for a few reasons. Aside from more obvious muscle gain, you will also develop discipline and knowledge that will improve your health for the rest of your life. Increasing muscle mass doesn't really improve your…

I feel like Covid has been tough on everybody's goals. I am 22 years old and reached a weight that I was unhappy with back in august of 2020. I have been working hard to get to where I am now. I am 8-12 LBS of body fat away from where I want to be before beach weather. Good luck everyone.

Welcome to MFP. I to am hoping to make 2021 my year. I am currently running a lean bulk with the hopes of starting my first ever cut in April to prepare myself for mid to end of June. What are your current goals? What are you doing to try and get there?

I always try to track 4 methods of success. 1) Weigh myself every day, average the week. Trend on excel. 2) Take pictures every Saturday and confide in a loved on or a friend and ask them if they see a difference. 3) Take measurements every 3 weeks. (if your waist goes down and everything else goes up you are gaining…

Make sure you weight yourself at the same time every day. I wake up, go to the bathroom and hop right on the scale. One of the reasons you might not see a difference yet other then the short amount of time could be... when we make dramatic changes in our bodies they can retain all kids of crazy things. It is almost like a…

Hey. you mention that you are a very small girl. My girlfriend is 120 lbs at 5foot nothing. 5KG is a lot of weight on a small frame... i mean A LOT. My girlfriends weight tends to fluctuate a bit. At 123 she looks heavier. At 119 she looks like she keeps herself healthy. If she drops down to 115 she looks incredible. She…

This question reminds me of a comparison that I gave my brother once. What is more important the size of your engine (exercise) or the grade of fuel (food). If you want your engine to last as long as possible, you need high quality fuel. Does not matter the size. If you want race car performance you can get a big V8. fuel…

I think i have gone through and added all of you, thanks for the replies :)

Absolutely! I should have put that in my title as well “dear fellow solo homeworkoutees.” Probably would have had more takers for friendship if i had thankyou so much for replying! 🤗 [/quote] Haha indeed. Do you find that you enjoy the home workouts? or do you miss the hustle and bustle of a gym?
-
Hey, I am not on a vegetarian or vegan diet but i do however also workout solely from home and am looking for people to help me stay motivated. Id love for you to add me.

4WEEKS!!!!!!! 4 weeks of dedication is absolutely imperative for me. After 4 weeks or one month you will start to see a change in your body, in your energy levels, and in your mental health. 4 weeks is that magic number that pushes you into feeling like you can do it. you stop feeling so sore form weight training and…

Therapy is a good place to start. It is a longer process but a better understanding of nutrition and macronutrients might help. There is a lot of stigma around certain foods where in reality they can be quite good for us. Dark chocolate for example is very healthy. It is actually recommended that we eat a few small squares…

If a man thinks you need to lose weight he will offer to run with you, he will offer to try a new diet with you. he doesn't just come home from work and tell you what's wrong with you. In my experience, 50 percent of the time a woman gains weight is because of either a man or children. both of which indicate needing a more…
