We're all making suggestions here. You really are saying that helping someone make healthy choices and eat less, plan active time together, care enough to hold them accountable and communicate appreciation aren't good forms of support? All of the things I suggested would work with me, it doesn't matter if they don't work…

1. Don't be scared of the weight section. 2. Don't be scared to ask someone that knows what they're doing for help. 3. Don't worry about how much you're lifting. Lots of people are too intimidated to go in the weight area but nobody is judging you and everyone is super supportive. Trust me.

Doesn't sound astronomical. My BMR is 2400

1. Help him make healthy food choices. He doesn't have to give up pizza, but reduce how much he eats and make it more infrequent. Maybe make ordering pizza a once a month occurance and encourage him to make it last 2 meals, then 3, then maybe even 4. If I want pizza, often I'll have a protein shake or chicken breast first…

Yeah, beer is mostly water so I count that towards my water too.

I'll be waiting!

Glad you got some insight. Nutrition is very individual, there's really not size fits all plan. I should also note when I'm eating 5000 cals/day, I'm in a surplus. My TDEE doesn't go much over about 4,200cals and I'm pushing pretty hard to be there. My BMR is about 2400 cals.

I went high carb and LOST weight?!?! Calories in vs calories out, end of story. Edit: Not meaning to sound snarky, just doin' a funny.

Minimalist. Responsible. Likes order. Defies convention but because of preference, not to be counter culture. How'd I do?

If they have a phone cover or not.

A foodie should be especially suited to recreate foods in a macro-friendly manner.

Some people have a high enough TDEE that calorie dense foods enable them to eat ENOUGH without being overly full. Some days I'll eat 5,000+ calories so I'll add olive oil to a meal or MCT oil to a shake just so I can consume enough calories without going into a food coma. What works for you won't work for me and what works…

Oh, I have long talks with my friends pasta, pizza and beer. Sometimes rice and potatoes join us.

I think I AM a carb at this point. You'll have to pry carbs from my cold, dead hands.

Skip it. Work bottom up on this instead.

Taste any more delicious foods. There's enough temptation already! For real. Someone will say "Try this, it's delicious!" and I'll say "Nope, I'm ok not knowing."

The order is: 1. Mango 2. Banana 3. Peaches 4. Strawberries 5. Apples That's fact, not opinion. Fight me. (joking)

Whether they appreciate intellectual diversity or prefer to only talk to people that agree with them.

Me, been a while since I weighed and really don't care what I weigh. I've never had someone say "wow, you look heavy!"

With allllllll the delicious ways to get calories, baby food does not enter the equation.

I've never tried it but they make a high carb energy gel in individual packets. They're popular with marathoners.

1. Because it's only part of the equation; it's like telling someone how much money you spend but they have no idea how much you make. 2. Nutritional requirements are very individual so I don't see what they could possibly gain by seeing what I eat. I don't care if they know, but I don't want them making any comments or…
