Has anyone tried Gorilla Formula 23?

@veggiepat The yoga video is really good but there's a few moves I can't do. No problem I'll either modify or skip.
-
@ixchelkeshet I also miss running but there's so many other things I can still do

As we get older range of motion becomes even more important. I do yoga and weight train with light weights and lots of reps. I can reach things I couldn't reach before and can get my kayak on the roof of my car. I do them just to improve my daily life.

Try brown rice.

Somebody missed the letter"F". I'll be weird.

I can understand if you are on a budget but it is really important to make sure you get the right shoes for you. Pretty much anything else I can make do with on the cheap but not my hiking boots. And when I was a runner it was my running shoes.

Went for nice hike today. The Florida transplants don't know how to drive on gravel roads! (Context-it was an unpaved road to the trail head)

Even though I am not much of a clutterbug I would also keep things "just in case" No more. I moved twice in the past year and I'm continuing to downsize. Any clothes that don't fit by the end of year are going. I also realized I had stuff for the life I thought I was going to have. I live in the woods during a pandemic…

My friend was gifted several bushes of pears and she canned pear sauce without sugar. I can understand why someone would not want to go all that trouble (I wouldn't) but I am the recipient of a couple of those jars and it's delicious!

According to my scale I gained 1.2 pounds since yesterday. No worries. I'll just stay on track. I expect to see some weeks with a small increase, some weeks with no changes, but it's that downward trend I'll be looking for.

@DancingMoosie I'm a big fan of Jessica Smith workouts. I'm starting my third round of her 6 week plan. I like that she gives options. The first cardio I did I lasted 5 minutes and had to pause! Now it seems fairly easy. As she says - Do what you can do.

Jump! I'll catch you.

I never count my steps. I'm an accountant so in my personal life I resist counting anything.

I love the okra and tomatoes. The cauliflower has fewer calories but I like mine over brown rice.

@MiaBella444 I also a have thyroid issue and arthritis. I've taken yoga classes before - I'm really not very good at it - and now I use Jessica Smith's Gentle Yoga DVD's She uses a chair to do planks and downward and upward facing dog I just do what I can do. My big deal is range of motion. It's so important as we age and…

Lucky me. I hated my job. After I retired I discovered there was a happy person under that cranky exterior.

Yep Weigh and measure. I measure liquids and yogurt and weigh everything else. And log it. I hate that part but I have to do it. It let's me keep track of calories and also keeps me on track to keep down the carbs and up the protein. I'm also short and it doesn't take many excess calories to keep me chubby. Also keep in…

He got engaged to someone else When that didn't work out he married my now former best friend. It's kind of funny..now.

Not easy but doable That's what I keep telling myself - this is doable.

I'm 5'3" and if I could only eat 1200 calories a day I would just stay fat and focus on good nutrition. @evesmom2 I've been working out with Jessica Smith DVD's using light weights and I can get my kayak on the roof of my car all by myself. I'm 66 and the kayak weighs about 45 lbs

@MikePfirrman I've been making this vinaigrette for years It's great. But I've cut down on the oil so the ratio is more like 50/50 with the vinegar. I make it in a jar to shake and store. I'll have to try the tahini dressing.

@4legsRbetterthan2 I'm going on the AT in NE Tennessee around Carver's Gap.

I know most of are here because we want to lose weight - including me - but I'm approaching it as a lifestyle change. I couldn't continue to eat the way I was and feel good. It's only been a week that I've been on track and I do feel better. My calorie target is around 1500 so I'm not expecting anything dramatic. BTW, when…

Thanks for the link @acpgee!

Anything with roasted beets. Don't say ewwww. I get them fresh, roast, and lately I have been using a balsamic and basil dressing. The longer they sit in the fridge, the better they taste.

Be careful what you wish for. During my separation I joined WW and and after the divorce I trained for a triathlon. I was in the best shape of my life. Of course he came back, sort of. What a disaster!

I'm 5'3"ish. My goal weight is around 132. What are your goal weights?
