@bmeadows380 It sounds like a really good real-life filter for dick heads. The kind of man that wants to be with a woman who is so reliant on him that she can't do anything for herself is not partner material. He's probably a controlling creep.

Google "bower bird nest". The males build a beautiful nest fill it with pretty things and keep it really tidy to lure the lady birds. It's a bit more effort than shaking your tail feather but just might help. http://www.bbc.com/earth/story/20141119-the-barmy-courtship-of-bowerbirds

Wow that's such an amazing loss. In the middle of Covid which is affecting overweight and diabetics amongst the hardest, you could not have picked a better time to do it! Bit of an inspiration for me, I was told I was "pre diabetic" this year and hopefully will do as well as you.

Oh FFS I think my "IBS" might actually be a dairy intolerance. It's normally so hard for me to figure out my triggers as I'm constantly grazing on everything in sight. But since I've been logging all my foods and had to largely give up dairy due to the calories content I think It's dairy that's the problem. Going to…
-
This could potentially be a huge victory. Due to keeping my calories very low I've only been able to afford dairy a few occasions. I've suffered IBS symptoms on each of those occasions but felt really well in myself the rest of the time. Best of all I've been eating the foods I normally think are the trigger (but that I…

False (but is hassling her husband for one) TNP has eaten shark.

Ooh this looks good. https://sizes.darkgreener.com/ Takes a minute to load. It tells you what UK shops would fit you best and what size you would be
-
I'm reasonably confident they just make up women's clothing sizes as they go to tbh. Well done on your weight loss though! If you're not shopping in the petite's though I'd suggest that. When I worked in clothes shops in the past I was surprised to learn that some people didn't realise that "petite" spanned all sizes.

"some men like dating taller women." Oh well in that case....

@mytime6630 I have quilt envy. That is gorgeous! DId you make all the ones in your profile pics? How long did the diamond one made of tiny blocks of colour take, it's amazing. For today I am trying to not get discouraged and break my diet just because the scale hasn't moved.
-
@kshama2001 I think you are probably right. I'm 5 10 (actually just shy of it) but have had several men who are clearly shorter than I am, tell me I must be 6ft as they are 5 10. :| Not sure if they've been lying so long they forgot how tall they actually are.. or think I'm so dumb I can be convinced I'm a different…

Having my daughter's friend over tomorrow. His mother is pleased as they can't have anyone over as they are already 6 people in their family. Trying not to think too hard about the government logic that says it's safer for her son to come to my house but not for my daughter to go to his. (rule of 6 in England)

That's an amazing weight loss! You look like a different person.

No offence meant- I think she is beautiful in fact that is literally her job :) She's a model and a presenter and very famous in the UK. I suppose she probably has had work done recently. I think most TV people have!

@forestfreek whenever your posts come up I think you have a picture of Claudia Winkleman as your profile pic!

I also try not to discuss diets at home much as I have children and I don't want to go down that route with them! I'm sure part of my problem with food stems from my mother's preoccupation with her perfectly healthy weight (and our perfectly normal childhood weights)

One week in and I've stuck to it all so far. Not a long time obviously, but I normally fall by the second day. I have used MFP for a few years but never utilized the forums (or added friends) it's surprising how helpful it is to feel like you're doing it with someone else and how much that keeps you on track. My husband…

Nah, but would go down fighting.

And I have done it for a week now! Well, I will have tonight when I close off today's food diary. Feels good and proud of myself.

And for the love of god, don't try Jasmine green tea. Like gulping perfume wanted to puke.

I have a sturdy glass pitcher and I have been brewing herbal/fruit teas in. I leave it on the counter and it cools down and I just drink a couple pitchers through the day. I can't stick to just water either! Orange spice is my current favourite and it's a bit autumny.

here is what worked for ME. The Op isn't selling this diet and has quite explicitly said this works for him He eats meat, veg, fruit and grains and a normal amount of calories and has only dropped 28 pounds. Hardly a crash diet. What's the issue, why pick on it and be rude? Your way of 'tap dancing around the egg shells…

Would you prefer the alternative to turning 60? I know it is a cliche but it is literally just a number, you didn't change over night from July when you were in your 50s, right?. The only tangible difference is people will be more impressed when you say your age. That's why I'm always confused by people who lie about their…

I was going to say batch cooking soup as well or beans for a filling lunch.

(I used to volunteer as a guineapig for surgeons to examine and diagnose knee injuries and half of them picked the wrong knee! :# :o

* and yes, you are right. I know I don't want to rely on steroid injections and that they can cause their own issues later on. Maye I could get on a waiting list to see the physio now as it will give me time to keep working on my weight loss before I see them and hopefully I will see someone new anyway.
-
I waited months to see the guy last time and he was actually quite dismissive. He said there didn't seem to be much damage for the pain I was 'claming' to be in. He said it was just some tendon (something or another). Then he gave the steroid injection into the spot. At the time the knee was so sore I was struggling to…
-
The doctor I saw for my knee wasn't particularly useful tbh and I think mostly was fobbing me off. My Gp has given me the follow-up injections without comment. Just doing it to deal with the pain as that's what the first guy did. I don't think I will be able to see anyone for very long time though in the current situation.…

So in love with this thread.
