  • @PAV8888 -- I have my job but I was off with an injury for a little while. @cupcakesandproteinshakes -- it is my understanding that the therapy is to teach me how to lose my weight without counting calories as creating my own restriction with calorie counting just later perpetuates binge eating. That's why the last time I…
  • Since this is just a vent and not looking for solutions. I would say it's fine to feel that way. Honestly. I am sure that a lot of people have been that way, it's a disappointment made from love of that person. You want them to try so that as you get older you both have your health and can be together, it's not a…
  • They're not waiting, I am, cause I need $1200 to take the therapy. I have the money, but I was just waiting a little to see where the dust settles with being off work and my finances before putting the money into it. Insurance wont pay for it so I just wanna be sure that I'm good to go, I seem to have bad timing that way,…
  • TDEE is meant to be your entire day including exercise. If you're not using your exercise, how do you know what your tdee actually is? When using NEAT is it expected that whatever you log as exercise, you should try to eat atleast 50% of them back in food or more if your workouts bring you below 1200 calories You say you…
  • Scale goes up all the time. New workout = water retention for muscle repair Higher carbs/sodium days = water retention Time of the month = water retention Instead of using TDEE why not use NEAT and follow mfp's calorie goal and add your exercise calories seperate? Maybe you are over estimating your tdee and eating too…
  • I'm sure those things might be useful for calming down, however probably not for the eating disorder part of it. Unfortunately that is something I must struggle through and work out for now until therapy can start.
  • Lol mine more of people just pissing me the *kitten* off and I am struggling with the borderline which is influencing me wanting to eat, although I made it through last night, but I am awfully moody today
  • Having my own share of ups and downs lol you know how it goes lol
  • It's not loss of motivation my lovely, it's your body just running out of energy from all the things going on with you.
  • Is it a cheat meal or a binge? Either way, if you're going to punish yourself by somehow burning 2000 calories the same day, maybe dont have a cheat meal? If it's a binge, and that is your way of correcting, then perhaps you need to reach out and find someone to talk to, such as a therapist.
  • Thank you guys. Did manage to fall asleep around 2ish, thank you for the support, I appreciate it.
  • Those logs do not represent the actual amounts that will be given to you. Those are logs made by other users who may of eaten half an order and logged it into mfp that way.
  • Mmm yeah it's about 20 to 1 in the morning, I was thinking about putting something on, I did go downstairs to be a bit further away from the kitchen after the movie was done. I am kinda hoping I fall asleep soon, alarm is set for 9am for work and I'd like to just sleep through the rest of this nonsense
  • I had to be put under to have my gallbladder removed years ago, I was about 250lbs tho. I gained to 300 after the surgery however I have no experience being heavier then that. I do know that it can be risky with the extra body weight, but there are a lot of people out there who have been sedated who are much heavier then…
  • Therapists are now doing video sessions, so pick up the phone and call someone Personally I dont think its appropriate to give someone advice on how to keep losing when they are struggling with slipping back into eating disorder habits From one person with an eating disorder to another, I wouldnt want someone to give me…
  • Some Basic Tips MFP is designed using the NEAT method. This means that when you perform an exercise and log it into mfp, you are expected to eat back at least 50% of the calories you burned. Do not eat under 1200 calories per day for women and 1500 calories for men, this can lead to a lot of health problems including lean…
  • If that's the number mfp gave you, then yes
  • That's good! I noticed in your first post you mentioned eating seafood and chicken again so you have a lot of options available to you to get creative with. Have fun in the kitchen, I do lol.. I'm always on pinterest trying new things lol
  • Okay, so you have two Choices. Work on calorie dense meals and eat 1700 and see how your hunger is, if your good, then 1700 is fine. If you find that your still a little nibbly then increase it by 250 calories, so 1950, which will change you from 2lbs per week to 1.5lbs per week loss.
  • I think you should set mfp to lose 1 or 1.5lbs per week and set yourself to lightly active and see how many calories that gives you.
  • Yep. Lol. I think if you tried to find some recipes, your vegetarian but I'm sure there is lots of calorie dense recipes out there, with sauces and stuff to really flavor up your meals, pack a good calorie punch and not leave you feeling like you're just a conveyer belt of non stop food, you would find hitting goal much…
  • People often pick too many lowest calorie foods, if you have a goal like 1700, eat more calorie dense foods. You have to consume more food the lower the calories you aim for Today I ate rice and shrimp cooked in cajun spices and a sauce made with both oil and margarine together. It wasnt a large meal but it had good…
  • 1 week is not a plateau. Weight loss isnt linear and you dont lose weight every week. If you are sure you arent over eating on calories, then all you can do is keep going.
  • No, cause low is the reason you binged in the first place. You need to set a reasonable calorie goal.. with a weight loss of .5lbs per week, then you need to eat back 50% of your workout calories.. And if you do binge, you wake up tomorrow and you eat the amount of calories you are told to eat. If my calorie goal is 1790,…
  • Remember that activity level on mfp does not include workouts or purposeful exercise. It's just your day to day life outside of that, it's not TDEE, mfp uses NEAT. If your just hanging around at home doing the basics, cleaning, errands, cooking, etc, you set yourself to lightly active and then log workouts. If you dont…
  • By not eating your exercise calories, you arent eating 1800-2000... you're eating less then that, even burning 500 puts you at the 1300 mark to 1500 and 1500 is the minimum amount for a short sedentary male.. So that means you are under eating most likely and that's why you are binge eating
  • Chances are, most of the weight on the scale will be simply water. I dont know how much you have lost but you likely didnt eat enough to put on any significant amount of weight. Certainly not 24,500 calories over your maintenance and activity level. People binge for a variety of reasons. However, there comes a time when…
  • As long as that plan is reasonable and not based off fad diets or horrible diet culture and is done with foods you love, and eaten in moderation, then most people find they can easily succeed. It's when people come on and start getting rid of everything they think is the reason they gained, chips, chocolate, what have you…

  • Doesnt matter. If you ate something at 2am on tuesday and still had calories for it monday, log it into monday, or log it into tuesday, doesnt matter. You only need to account for the food consumed, since it's a weekly deficit over all that contributes to weight loss per week
  • Well it happened on tuesday and I still am up a couple pounds, but you gotta remember that, we dont eat the same thing every day, sodium and carb counts change, also I am female and its shark week next week so I will likely also hold water weight from that also. But my water will go up and down constantly.. and the scale…
