@Charmmeth - Way to go! Nice slow, steady pace and a great attitude! @Angmarie28 - Awesome workout streak! Your body changes as you add muscle and, even if the scale doesn't show it, you look and feel much leaner. Wishing you the best on your goal to keep that streak going all the way to the end of the year. That will be…

When it comes to losing weight, everyone has to figure out what works for them. Setting small goals works for me (at least at this time), and having the support of a group keeps me motivated to stay on track. No judgement here for anyone who chooses a different path on this crazy journey! I wish you the best in your slow…

Heading into the weekend can be a challenge, the key for me is to stay busy!! The weather has cooled down some so we're playing more golf. That means great exercise and less eating. Hang in there everyone!!

@angmarie28 Way to go, keep up the good work!

@zebasschick Great job ... one more pound is outta there!!!

Welcome @gesundundmunter! Thanks for joining us. Don't struggle alone, there are others in the same boat just trying to stay afloat. No judgement here, just encouragement and support.

Whoot-whoot ... way to go Saskatchebun!! Down 2.1 pounds in one week. I am peanut butter and jealous!!

Thanks Charmmeth! I'm 5'4" and 63 years old. In the last 6 years I've had a bone marrow transplant and 6 surgeries. I used to be a gym rat and could get away with eating quite a bit and at least maintaining because I was pretty muscular. Those days are gone now and I'm old and flabby and I can't move enough to burn many…

Welcome aboard @charmmeth, @zebasschick, @msalicia07, @copaceticx292 and @gininme!! Let's keep each other motivated and strong, whether we lose weight or not. For me, it's not gonna be a sprint, it's gonna be a marathon. I'll be your cheerleader!! Rah Rah (insert pom-poms here)!!

Gotta admit, I'm struggling today. It seems if I go even slightly over 1200 calories in a day, I immediately have a gain. It's disheartening when losing is soooo sloooow. Honestly, I must've been eating about 7,000 calories a day before I started tracking, yet I maintained my weight (at 199, but still :D ). It's…

I love this kind of support for each other. Feel free to say encouraging words at any time, not just at the weekly check-ins. We all need uplifting and inspiration to achieve our goals! <3

@Saskatchebun Yes, please join us! The more the merrier!! In our family of 5, the birthdays start in October and end in December. As if the holidays weren't crazy enough!! I'm hoping to still be losing weight when mine rolls around at the beginning of December, but I can't guarantee anything!!

I have a doctor's appointment on November 5th and I would love to walk in with an A1C of 6.5 and a 25 pound weight loss. I've already lost 16 of those pounds, so 9 to go in the next 7 weeks. Only family birthdays and Halloween candy stand in my way!! Praying I can stay strong. I may need dhiammarath's sword and magic to…

@Angmarie28 - We have our son's birthday 10/9, my brother-in-law's birthday 10/10, and my daughter's birthday 10/11. I just know when my son's birthday hits, I blink and the year is over and I've gained 15 pounds!! :p

Thanks Harper & Reenie! It always helps to know you're not alone in this journey (no matter how much weight loss your goal is).

I bought a Costco sized bag of macadamia nuts because I thought I could handle it ... I couldn't. I almost cried as I put about $5 worth of macadamia nuts down the garbage disposal instead of eating them, but that was my NSV!!

Thanks everyone for your great advice. Of course I'm anxious for my weight to just disappear, but I know at this point it's going to be slow. I was hoping for 2 pounds a week (like I could do when I was younger), but I'm thinking it'll be more like 1 pound a week (maybe). *sigh* That means it'll take about 40 weeks to get…

Dogmom1978 ... yes I am weighing my portions. I have a hard time finding foods that are high in protein and low in fat and carbs. That's why I depend on the Premiere protein shakes to fill that bill. The peaches and cream flavor is delicious.
