    September 15: 80.3 kg (177 lbs)
    September 22: 79.7 kg (176 lbs)
    September 29: 79.3 kg (175 lbs)
29 Sept note: Since I am into my final 5 kgs / 10 lbs to goal, I have now switched to aiming to lose 0.5 lbs per week, instead of 1 lb per week.
    October 6: 79.3 kg (175 lbs)
The good news is that I actually hit 78.2 kg on Wednesday last week, and was below 79kg for most of the week, so I am hoping/expecting that I will show a drop again next week. (This reminds me of why I weigh daily not weekly!)
    October 13: 78,3 kg (173 lbs)
So there is last week's lb as well! I am eating more but still seem to be losing at 1 lb (perhaps just under) per week. My average (mean) weight for October so far is a bit more than 1 kg down from last month. Another 1 kg will take me into the top of my maintenance range.

I'm actually surprised to have had a loss this week. It was one of those birthday weekends that I was concerned about (son, brother-in-law, daughter). Whew, there was a lot of eating going on. So glad to have made it through and am looking forward to getting back to my normal eating routine.

Hope everyone has had a great week (regardless of what the scale says)!!

Once again, I'm surprised by this weight loss! I've been eating more calories but am still losing at a good pace. I saw my oncologist last week and all my bloodwork is (in his words) "wonderful, amazing"! He told me 1,000 calories a day is too extreme, so I took his advice and bumped things up a bit. I didn't actually think it would work, but so far, so good.

Life has been a little crazy around here, so I haven't spent as much time on this thread encouraging people as I originally intended. I'm looking forward to seeing your posts whether you're doing great or struggling. There are more important things in life than what our wacky scales say!! Wishing you all another great week!!

So no excuses here! I've been eating like absolute crap! I was sick for the last 1.5 weeks and it was easy to not bother. It kinda scared me how quickly the resolve crumbles. So went back to basics - meal prep, planning meals I love so I look forward to them and planned treats to fit my calories. I'm feeling positive and know this is the long game. Have a good week everyone! I really appreciate this accountability post!

I was down to 76.9 last Thursday, but ate above maintenance levels over the weekend and was on a course (zoom - so just sitting in front of the computer) so could not go for a walk or do much exercise to balance that out. My current mean for October is 1.5 kg down from September, so I am still losing fairly steadily. Wednesday-Friday last week I was into my maintenance range. Looking foward to seeing where I am next week.

my weight has been all over the place, BUT I have worked out EVERYDAY for 28 days now, and have only missed 1 day since September 20th, and thats because I had a health screening that day and was told no strenuous exercise. my goal is to not miss a day in October, November or December. I have also gained 2lbs in muscle this past month.

I had some struggles this week, but I did stayed within my calorie range more days than not. I was a little discouraged, but I realize this is a marathon, not a sprint, and I'm going to have those weeks. Probably won't meet my 25 pound weight loss goal in time for my doctor's appointment, but I'm sure she will be thrilled with 21 pounds. I already got my blood test results back and my blood glucose levels for the past 3 months (A1C) went from 7.2 to 6.6! That's a win right there!! Forge ahead my friends ... one week to go.

@Charmmeth - Way to go! Nice slow, steady pace and a great attitude!

@Angmarie28 - Awesome workout streak! Your body changes as you add muscle and, even if the scale doesn't show it, you look and feel much leaner. Wishing you the best on your goal to keep that streak going all the way to the end of the year. That will be quite an accomplishment!!

That's a fantastic glucose result: well done! And 21 lbs is a really substantial loss; your doctor should be delighted.

I'm looking to lose maybe 2 kilos by Christmas. I work better with slower weight loss. Unfortunately I find if I lose weight faster than that I tend to binge eat and put it all back on, so there's no point.

So that is me right at the top of my maintenance range! Yay! (And yesterday was our wedding anniversary, and I was well above my normal calories.) To help me transition into maintenance, I have set my spreadsheet to calculate a rolling seven-day average. Over the last seven days (including today) it was 76.79 kg, which is comfortably within my maintenance range. From my weight this morning, I have 2.5 kg to go to goal. I still seem to be losing at a bit under 1 lb per week, and if things continue as they are I'll hit that goal some time in December.

@nancykadolph: Thank you for this challenge: it's been really helpful to do a weekly check in. Shall we have another one to take us up to Christmas?

Sooooo ... this was not the direction I had planned to go in for the last 2 weeks. Halloween and a 5-day visit from my brother-in-law really dealt a blow to my diet resolve. Not to place blame, it was just the excuse I needed to jump off the wagon. We'll see what happens at the doctor's on Thursday. Thanks to everyone who participated in this challenge!!

@charmmeth - I would love to do another round through the end of the year. It might just help having accountability around the holidays. I'll start a new discussion on Monday.

    Great!
You are still down 20lbs from your original weight; I hope that your doctor will be pleased with that.
