Mushrooms remind me of snails, which I use to eat all the time as a kid but not so much of as I got older.

Excellent! And I'd like to add on that one can treat this as a form of meditation by reminding themself through the motions of the bodyweight exercises that life is always in motion. Even when we are still, we are still in motion internally, and to practice bodyweight exercises ritually is to perfect the art of graceful…

Congratulations on your weight loss! Keep doing what you're doing, and you will keep seeing results even if the scale acts funny, which it can sometimes because a new physical routine my cause swelling in parts of your body or a food, sport beverage, etc. that you're trying may be causing water retention in spite of your…

If you eat a little less one day, you can eat a little more the next day. I say this from personal experience as it is has been working for me. On Friday evenings for instance, I like to go for Wafflehouse style platters (not to say that is unhealthy) and milk shakes that total to well above my maintenance calories on…

Hi Samantha! I noticed you haven't posted a "Lose 5lbs +..." for August, September, and even October (the month we're currently in). Are you ending the new challenge posting per month? I ask because I was kind of waiting for you to post one of these threads anew for each of the past two months that you didn't post them.

Awesome! :) I live in New York, but I've gotten so used to working out outside of the gym because of the pandemic that I hadn't checked whether gyms are even open here, but I just googled it, and it looks like they're open in New York too. Best wishes!

Raw green bell peppers. I have family members that swear by eating raw green bell peppers for fat burn, but I find it utterly disgusting in that form. But if you fry it with eggs or steak, I'll eat it, because I can't taste it.

It does take a while to normalize. Keep at it with strong determination for about three weeks or so, and your appetite will start to feel better at your lower, healthier weight. Also, FYI, just from my personal experience, if I eat very high sugary foods, like a whole Lindt milk chocolate bar without blander food items…

I suppose I practice intermittent fasting sometimes since I give space between meals: I give more space between larger meals and less space between smaller meals. I also tend to eat less earlier in the day since I workout in the morning, which is easier to do with just a cup of coffee with cream and sugar. But anything…

One tip is to wear comfortable hiking shoes to avoid slips and falls as you go on fast paced walks when it snows. I like to get in some cardio too weekly through jogging, but when it snows, I prefer long walks at least one to three times a week in addition to other body weight exercises that I do at home.

Are gyms even open?

I love a good drink with my workout too! I like to have ginger with hazelnut coffee, cream and sugar after my workouts. Very relaxing! :)

I do body weight exercises (excluding jogging) everyday such as squats, heel raisers, planks/pushups, crunches, pullups/hanging from a pullup bar and stretches--lots of stretches. Then within the week, I jog anywhere from 2 to 4 miles or so one to three times a week.
