Made some beef soup today, It's been a year since the last one. Well...I really missed it, took some fortitude to not go for a second serving! :D

Surprise Greek food delivery..this is definitely not fair...for the rest of us! :D
-
Today is ground turkey burgers, vegetable rice and (half a) τηγανόψωμο (feta cheese frybread). Yummy, but...1150kcal in total. Oh well!

No, I bake them. This is a very popular dish here called Γίγαντες "Giants" in Greek, using giant greek beans, a variant of the runner/butter bean. Here is an easy recipe to follow by Akis. I make them in a similar way, not using that recipe tho but my Mom's. <3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FMNwcwFa8U…

Today is the mean combo of beans and sardines! They go very well together too!
-
Not a lot of time today, so I made a three pound salad with some tuna and potato thrown in for good measure! I think I need a soda water now lol. Having said that, that mountain is less than 900 calories too! O_o

Time for some Fasolada (bean soup). Made a big batch, should last for the week! C:

It's the traditional stew made with dry chickpeas. No eggs involved, but lots of lemon juice. The pressure-cooker does all the work really..but I also use a little tahini for taste and thickening the stew.
-
It is starting to get a little colder here, so chickpea soup it is!
-
Pretty similar, you can view this as "moussaka light" in a way. It is also far faster and easier to make (a must for an idiot like me) :D Have in mind that we also use a vegan/fasting version of papoutsakia here, substituting the minced meat with mushrooms+more veggies.
-
Man, it's been some time since I did a stir-fry too, good idea! Papoutsakia day today!
-
Another raid in the freezer for some more green bean stew. <3

The chicken soup is done but I still have to kinda watch out due to the surgery. So I made a batch of lentil soup, should last till the weekend at least. C:
-
Ah many thanks, and your potato salad looks extremely tasty and filling. Here's to many, many more (over the years to come) ! <3

Had a surgery on Tuesday (umbilical hernia repair + cyst removal) so..soup it is for the next week. Made a big batch of chicken rice soup, should last for some time. I won't complain though, I love soups! And it is getting a little chilly out there, so right on time too! :p
-
Actually I didn't know about that brand (we don't have this here), thanks for sharing. It looks pretty convenient if you are pressed for time. . Speaking of which, today was "too busy to cook" day..so half a chicken it is! (with the standard two pound salad of course)

It's basic saffron rice, just added some shredded regato cheese and pepper flakes in the plate. We produce a lot of crocus here (mainly in the Kozani area, the region is well known for it), so it is very easy to get a hold of some. I tend to use the threads in this one: Saute some basmati rice in a little butter after…
-
My butcher from time to time makes a pretty mean pancetta roll..I had to get some! Some saffron rice paired pretty well with it (first time I try this combination). Will have to do this again!
-
Quinoa with chickpeas, peppers and apricots today! I also had some cooked chicken deli meat in the fridge that was about to go bad..so I added it in. I regret nothing. :p
-
Roasted lemon sauce ram (the ram comes from my uncle in the village) and potatoes today. I don't have the chance to cook/eat this often (about 3-4 times a year), but I always look forward when it's the time for it. Delicious!~

Went to mothers' today, she grilled a couple of fresh breams. her salads are pretty small tho :pensive:
-
Thanks, for the kind words but yeah, I'd wish. It's just some dressing Yooly! :D and, specifically those two: I do like the texture and taste of steamed food, but - to be frank - you need a little lubrication there. Bottled dressing does the job in a pinch. :)
-
Steamed Dover Sole (bought frozen) with veggies today.
-
Actifry takes about 35-40 minutes for a batch of fries, a little less for vegetables. What Yooly posted is/uses a different system that takes a lot less. ;) The whole idea for these kind of machines tho is that they do passive cooking, you simply fire and forget. Therefore it doesn't really matter if it takes 10-15 minutes…
-
20 minutes is pretty good really, I need to get me an air-fryer too. Mother has a Tefal Actifry which is also pretty good, but takes a little more time to do stuff. Today I cooked some fresh sardines I got from the market, and de-frosted a batch of pinto beans I had made a couple of months ago. You cannot beat fresh fish…
-
Well its basically glutinous rice (best thing for the job at hand) with the insides of the vegetables, garlic, onion and some herbs/spices. Pretty basic but very yummy! Good luck with the rusks, I have never ventured into learning how to make some. :D
-
Stuffed veggies today (γεμιστά), since the summer has ended it was the last chance to make a batch (this is a summer dish for us). Before and after preparation

I'm eating the same. I think it's a combination of three things. 1. Two days of rest. 2. Diuretic pill. 3. A lot more exercise this August, since I had free time. I'll have to adjust the calories slightly upwards, I'll wait another week though because September will be a little less exercise heavy.
-
Never take a diuretic two days before weighing yourself... :p Age: 41 Height: 167cm - 5'6'' SW: 177.8 kg - 392 lb - 64.5 ΒΜΙ (May 2020) GW: 74.4 kg - 164 lb - 27 ΒΜΙ LW: 74.1 kg - 163.4 lb - 26.9 ΒΜΙ CW: 72.2 kg - 159.2 lb - 26.2 ΒΜΙ Variance: -1.9 kg / -4.2 lb / -2.56% TBW (in 3 weeks) OL: 105.6 kg - 232.8 lb - 38.3 BMI -…
