These are great exercises. I'm not a fan of hip thrusts, I think they are a good exercise I just hate doing them.

Working mom of three here. I also love weightlifting. Welcome!

Unassisted pull up, I can get a chin up but I want to do a pull up. Also, I want to get stronger and look less fluffy. I wouldn't mind getting in a handstand, that was an old goal of mine but got put on the back burner after fracturing my foot.

I back tracked big time the last 1.5 years. My goal for 2021 is to make health and fitness a priority again. I would also like to look less fluffy.

You're investing into your health, totally worth the cost.

My fitness journey has been up and down in 2020. I broke my foot in April, gained unwanted weight, and slacked off more than I would like to admit. But I have not given up and staying healthy and fit is still important to me. Also, we did a few family hikes that were fun and swam as much as we could over the summer.

I like this idea!

Hi, I really feel you on this. I broke my foot in April of this year. It sucked. It definitely contributed some to my weight gain this year. It took about 12-14 weeks to mostly heal. But it honestly still hurts sometimes, but I think I'm at my baseline now. I'm trying to lose weight now and get back to maintenance. I'm…

Good advice. It actually took me more like 20 minutes splitting it this way. I think I may split it up into lower in the morning and upper in the evening. I'll have to experiment. For upper I do a horizontal push, hospital horizontal pull, vertical push, and a vertical pull. On the weekends I have time to add accessory if…

I think the recommended routine that is from the bodyweightfitness subreddit is great. At first glance it might not look too interesting but they have recommended progressions for each movement.

Good luck getting it under control. My weight started creeping up about a year and a half ago and I neglected to get it under control. I have gained about 14 total pounds from my previous maintenance weight. I'm hoping to lose it again and do better at maintaining the next time around.

Dynamic stretching is a good way to warm up.

Here's one https://www.muscleandstrength.com/workouts/6-day-powerbuilding-split-meal-plan However, this a six day plan. I believe most PPL routines are 6 days. 2 days for each.

This is my mini mobile home gym. I also have a pull up bar. There are various resistance bands in the bag on the bottom of the cart. I'm hoping to get a power rack with weights and a cable system.

I have an adjustable bench, adjustable weight dumbbells, a pull-up bar, layered latex resistance bands, tubular resistance bands, yoga mat, and a stability ball. All of this stuff is pretty great for a small space. I used to have a power rack with weights and a bar. It's on my wishlist to get again. I also want a cable…

Last week was terrible. I had to stay late and go in early to work every day. This week should be better, as a big project is now done. I prescheduled my workouts for the week and my food for today. Last night I got a little bit of cardio in. I just need to get my routine down and build the discipline. It's seriously hard…

Did you get a diagnosis? Unfortunately some people can develop arthritis at a young age. Some forms can be autoimmune (RA or PA) and can require medication. I'm only 36 and have it in multiple joints.

I have had a few herniated discs. I also recommend seeing a physical therapist. In addition, making sure to use proper form with lifting is essential to a healthy back.

Hi, I'm back on mfp after some time away. Looking for motivation and well.

I've put back on 15 pounds over the last year after maintaining a 22 pound loss. I'm frustrated with myself and looking to start over.

Me! I'm starting over. I lost 22 pounds in 2017 maintained it for 2 years and have gained back about 15 over the last year. I had deleted mfp out of frustration with myself but realized I need the support. I'm back to counting calories and looking for friends.
