  • Yes!
  • I totally agree, but a difference of hundreds of calories? Seems kind of crazy to me. I do trust my Fitbit more though because of the hr monitoring.
  • Actually, imbalances in your estrogen, testosterone, progesterone, androgen, cortisol, thyroid, or insulin hormones can very definitely cause someone to not lose weight despite the supposed CI/CO being right. It's hard for people who've never experienced it to understand. Yes, science is real, but calorie science isn't the…
  • The healthiest, longest-living populations on earth consistently eat around 15% of their calories from protein. Excess protein in the diet is also associated with problems with your kidneys, liver, and bones-not to mention heart disease, cancer, bad breath, constipation, weight gain, systemic inflammation etc. A caveat is…
  • Exactly why I said I will be visiting my physician, because CI are accounted for. CO are a mystery and my weight *should* be going down. I asked if there were anything I might be missing, but there is apparently nothing, so I will seek help elsewhere. I know how science and calories work. I'm not new to this and I am…
  • I agree. I don't tend to sugar coat much of anything... Thank you
  • I track things in my diary that are private so I won't be making it public. Maybe I will find a way to share it through screen shots with someone encouraging in the future. Thanks for all the responses and suggestions!
  • I've been here for years but haven't ever taken advantage of the community tab. I'd love some positive, inspiring, encouraging friends.
  • Hey, thanks again for your input! I meticulously measure food and calories and don't need to be told the obvious. I asked, in my original post, for any *non obvious* things I might be missing. I have been using this app and tracking food and exercise for years. I guess it was my mistake for asking for creative responses…
  • I see this is an older post but I'm here! I am celiac and have to avoid dairy and eggs apart from gluten. I also avoid red meat and oats. So I'm a plant based celiac who occasionally eats chicken or fish. This diet has cured all my ills, proven by lab results.
  • Humans don't need nearly as much protein as people think. 🤷🏻‍♀️😬😬😬
  • I'm not 100% vegan, but I'm 99%. Can I come in? 🙋🏻‍♀️
  • I just posted this same issue and basically got told that I'm logging my calories wrong... I do think being older, especially as a woman, can complicate things. I'm having to workout harder, eat less and be hungrier. I will tell you, years ago, when I had an autoimmune disease and some food allergies diagnosed, as soon as…
  • You are right there. Apart from daily walks I hadn't been working out seriously for the previous two years. Except when I joined the gym in March and promptly had to quit... Maybe a slight improvement in shape and clothing. But still. It's been months! So frustrating. I am switching days of weights/resistance, yoga, HIIT,…
  • Well. Thanks for the replies. I am a woman. I have five kids and successfully lost twenty pounds after the fourth doing what I'm doing now so not sure what exactly is going on. I have years of experience counting calories, working out (at the gym, in a group, at home, alone, with husband.... All the ways.) Intermittent…
