Thank you for your insight. You seem like a thoughtful person. I am 5’3” and in my younger years I stayed at around 100 pounds without even trying. Being at the very low end of normal weight, I actually felt TOO thin and would try unsuccessfully to gain weight. With the sedentary job for 18 years I ended up at about 190…

Thanks!

I think I might learn a lot from you. I start a much more active job next week. I'll be on my feet for 8 hours per day and will be lifting boxes of up to 25 pounds frequently. I also bought a pair of rollerskates (something I used to love doing when I was a teen). So I will update as my activity increases.

You all are quite kind. Thanks so much for lifting my spirits.

Haha. Yes she sounds like a delight doesn’t she? No, it was a different manager who hired me but this lady will be my daily section supervisor. I’m going to give it a try. I won’t let her get me down.

Thanks! I think I have a tendency to self doubt. It's something I need to stop immediately.

Turning the setting off and linking accounts sounds like a better plan. Thanks!

Thanks for your help in understanding. I do not have the accounts linked.

Hey, thanks!

Interesting and helpful way of looking at it.

I am using fitbit only as a step tracker. I'm not even wearing it on my wrist to obtain my heart rate. The wrist band irritates me so I removed the band and simply walk around with the fitbit in my pocket. I believe I chose the sedentary setting in MFP because that's where I was when I first began with MFP (many days only…

You and I are very similar in that I'm 5'3" as well and my SW:189, CW:175, GW:150 and my daily limit is 1480. I'm not getting as much exercise as you, I'm only walking minimum of 8000 steps per day for now. Like you, I enjoy eating all of my unwise calories choices are made between 8:00pm - midnight. I do not by any means…

Oh wow. I should have asked you all about this sooner! Thanks!

That's awesome!

Thanks so much. This is very helpful.

#'s 3 and 4. Yes...same here. I was squeezed into a smaller size as well.

When I unthaw fish for some reason it always seems a bit soggy (not sure how else to describe it). I asked my husband just yesterday if he thinks we might be doing something wrong when we freeze it...maybe not wrapping or sealing it properly.

42 pounds...obese to normal bmi. That's great! and that's my goal too, to be within a normal BMI.

I'm sure I'll be in for a rude awakening as well when I begin weighing everything. Fruit...yes for sure, and I love fruit so that won't be hard.

It feels really good to see several of you conveying that a reasonable snack within my calorie goal isn't so bad. I really did expect the opposite so it was a pleasant surprise.

I found a scale on Amazon that I think will be very good, 5 star ratings, for only $11. I hit 8000 steps on the Fitbit yesterday for the first time in a VERY long time. What you said about vegetables...Yes, absolutely! Thanks so much for your encouragement. It helps tremendously.

I totally believe this to be fully true. I would love to give it up totally. I will continue to try.

Exactly! I'm afraid that I may be logging 2 tablespoons of peanut butter when in actuality it's 4 tablespoons! I found one on Amazon that has nearly all 5 star reviews that's only $11. Gonna buy it.

Thanks! I would like to work with weights a little bit. As I lose weight I'd like to tone and gain strength (not muscle man type strength, but I think you know what I mean). I know it's not much, but in the basement we have a set each of 5 and 10lb hand weights and an 8 pound and a 15 pound kettlebell and an elliptical…

I'm very glad to read your replies. Feels good to know there is support out there. It's especially good to know that I'm not broken, others have the sweet cravings too. Heading out for a walk before the rain starts again. You all put a smile on my face. Oh yes, and I do plan to add some weight-bearing exercises into my…

I have the Fitbit Aria and it works well.

I found the recipe builder. It's wonderful! I have a ton of recipes loaded in there now. Thanks!
