Nothing wrong with seeking help. Help is always here. You are living a life and life is not easy. You are not alone. Help is around you.

You are not alone! I also feel some stress around the food of the holidays. Some good advice here. I just wanted to offer some support!

Oh, Naomi, this speaks to me and, I know, to many. Coming into self compassion and love has been a journey spanning years, decades. The work is not done...it just shifts. Keep reminding yourself that you are worthy, and showing yourself this. It may take a lot of practice. Hold yourself, comfort yourself, inspire yourself.…

My journey to understand my food addiction began when I was 18 and now I am 41. I have overcome a lot just through understanding the emotional components and addressing those. I realized that sheer willpower was not ever going to work. I had to pop the hood and look deep within at my traumas in order to understand my…

Nothing wrong with continuing your workouts at home if it suits you! No need to be who you were before. Go with what feels right in the moment.

I am studying for my personal training certificate now, but I have been a fitness and yoga instructor since 2006. I love moving into personal training. It is very motivational for me!

I take 1-2 rest days per week, depending on my needs.

Motivation is a fickle friend. Developing a routine or a lifestyle is a better approach. It can time awhile to develop, but it has more staying power than willpower or motivation.

I wish MFP had a bit of a more inviting and intuitive way to connect with people!

I find friends on here by doing a keyword search in the search bar for the discussion boards. The keyword is based on my interests or needs. Get those friends! 👍🏽

There is much to know when weightlifting and it can feel overwhelming and perhaps make one feel self conscious when just beginning. The gym, too, can bring feelings of anxiety. Speak well of yourself to yourself when you're there! Lift yourself up. You can do hard things. Be kind to yourself. Take each day in the gym as a…
