This is so inspiring! Thanks for sharing!

@Lietchi I love the idea of adding other types of goals in addition to weight. I *knew* that is healthiest, but I can forget to direct my energy in more places than just weight loss, sometimes. Thanks for the reminder!

I can relate! As a working mom, myself, my suggestion (based on my own needs and tendancies) is to use the week to restore. Restorative practices may seem counterintuitive when you want to lose weight and get "back on track" or on top of things; however, I have found that they are the best. Make space for doing nothing.…

Hi, J. Our bodies often change so much in the journey of living. I used to be a bodybuilder living at the gym, too. From the time I was 18-30 I was obsessed with fitness ... Obsessed. I am 43 now and especially in the last 7 years, my body has changed to being unrecognizable. I look like a frumpy, tired, middle-aged woman.…

I was diagnosed with a panic disorder two decades ago and the only thing that's worked for me is allowing panic. It was really, really hard at first. It's scary. But with time, it helped me immensely. Turn around. Sit right where you are. And let the panic or anxiety come. Find a touchstone within, a safehaven that is…

Personally, why not eat whatever you want for breakfast? Want flounder fillet with bok choy and kimchi? Sure! Have a bowl of minestrone, a protein strawberry smoothie, a plate of veggies with hummus, a homemade blueberry Popsicle, tuna casserole, stuffed peppers, etc. Breakfast is a time to eat food so find what you like…

Hugs to you. 🫂 I can relate, even about bulimia. Hey, being healthy doesn't have to be a mental health crisis! There are many ways to be well. If the scale puts you out of sorts, honor that. So what if that isn't what other people do! Other people are not you, with your unique experience. You can be well and healthy in a…

I have run a 5k when I was not a runner and felt uncomfortable with running, and was out of shape. It was challenging. I gave myself permission to walk when needed, and I did walk some of the race. It gave me a great feeling of accomplishment to just finish at that time, and encouraged me to do more

That's wonderful. Keep at it and believe that the change you want will come with work.

You might look for space-saving cardio equipment, sometimes called under-the-desk or portable. In this category equipment tends to have no upper portion but just the lower body portion.

Taking time to heal injuries is important. Also, I feel like engaging in a variety of movement is good
-
Best of luck to you on your journey. You can do it!
-
Great job! And living alone has it's benefits. You have a lot more potential for control.
-
Glad to hear that you're healing. Healing is a journey of ups and downs. One of my own pieces was getting obsessed with strength and bodybuilding and after a 15 year cycle of that, I finally had to admit that this was a kind of disorder, too. Hard lesson to learn.

Making changes can take time. Think about the smaller steps and the micro goals that lead to your major goals. Give yourself the space for self- compassion. It's ok to not be able to switch from one way to it's opposite in a day...or even in months. Keep your goals in sight and know that you have value apart from what you…

I like your idea of continuous improvement; however, always striving and moving forward is just not how the human journey always goes. Sometimes we move backwards, stall, fail, etc. Knowing that on any journey and allowing the space to keep your goals in sight even on a bad day will help you get where you want to be.

What a win! 🎉

Glad to read that you recognize a shift away from taking good care of yourself and that you're circling back to that.

I love to exercise. Eating is my problem. Exercise, for me, is fun. I get in 6 days of exercise of various kinds, including yoga, step aerobics, weight lifting, walking, and elliptical. I love weight lifting and I take it seriously!

I joined this challenge one week into what I am calling a "soft cut." For me, this means that I am focused on whole foods, staying in range, and eating a bit more protein right now. I am also not eating sugar or drinking alcohol. My first week was really good, and I am not on Week 2. So far, so good!

Hi, everyone! My goals for this group, during the summer, are: 1. Continue working out 5-6 days a week 2. Record workouts in my vlog and post to YouTube and Instagram 3. Log food 4. Lose 5 lbs by the end of the summer
-
Yes, I have a blog at moonbodies.com I use it for posting my daily workouts and reflections.

The road toward our goals is often not a straight path. We wind and curve and sometimes backtrack. Just keep taking more steps forward than backwards.
-
Sounds like you're focused on reaching your goal!
-
How wonderful!

I just finished my first week of a cut. It went pretty well.

I like to make popsicles at home, and my daughter loves them, too. I blend up starwberries, maple syrup, and lime juice...or whatever, and freeze the mixture in popsicle moulds. You can use a lot of different fruits or combinations. It's so easy and I find the popsicles often are more tasty and also have more fruit!
