Does anyone in the tech department read these? What am I paying for?

I have premium, and the option button you refer to isn't checked - but that's the Overview tab. I want it off my Nutrition tab and there's no edit option there. (:P)

Thank you - I found it.

This discussion really struck a chord with me. I'm a management analyst (numbers nerd) who's first meeting with my dietician included a spreadsheet of what, when and how many carbs I ate for a couple weeks of meals and how my BG #s looked after each. She laughed, but I managed to stay off meds for years.

Exercise would be so much more rewarding if the calories screamed while you burn them.

Refusing to go to the gym doesn't count as resistance training.

Stop rewarding yourself with food. You're not a dog.

I have removed all the bad food from the house. It was delicious.

If your food can go bad, it's good for you. If your food can't go bad, it's bad for you.

Ok, it's weigh in Tuesday. Gained 1 pound, but not sure it was the meds. I usually bounce around 1 to 2 pounds.

Well, it's been a week on the new meds and my numbers look great. My weekly average puts me on track for a 6.7 A1C. Before I was running about an 8. Which, by the way, my team lead said was my "new" target. Apparently, when I passed the magical age of 65 last December, they adjusted my target A1C to 8 because they don't…

Update: My doctor doesn't think it's the heat so she's adding another medication that has a side effect of weight gain. Oh joy. :s

I did send an email to my diabetes team lead & should hear back tomorrow.

Yes, thanks. I'm very careful about drinking plenty of water. It's a new meter, but I didn't think about the ambient temp affecting it.
-
Yeah, I was pretty certain it wasn't actual weight loss but I'd never heard of water intake affecting anything. Thanks

I've been on a CPAP for ... I can't recall how long - over 20 years. What issues are you having? Mask comfort? Machine too loud? Can't find a comfortable sleep position?

Hi, Terri here. Glad to see this group. As someone else has said, if you don't live it you don't understand it. Diagnosed with arthritis 30 years ago (I'm 65). Managed to find thru elimination diet that nightshades severely aggrivated my arthritis in my back and hip and large doses of naproxen helped reduce the…

I was on Sparkpeople on and off since 2013. It really helps me manage my blood sugar. I wasn't thrilled with their strategy to shut down without having the new site ready to go. Bad news for them, I think I like this app better. OoPs

My HMO offered classes and a meeting with a dietician first thing when I was diagnosed. My dietician recommended a book "The Joselin Guide to Diabetes." I think you can find it on Amazon.
