Carb intake is going better. I love trulicity. It helps my cravings too. I opted into Sprinly for food delivery as it is vegan and gluten free, no diary. Some meals are very high in carbs though. I can't find a good meal service for my dietary needs. I check Trust Pilot before opting into anything. It helps. I split the…

Just to let you no, I'm transitioning over to an app called "carb manager," which is a great free app. Easy to track food and carbs too. I'm Beccaboo127 on that platform. I'm on the free version but for only $39.99 per year they have tons of yummy looking recipes for many different diet regimes--not just keto. I don't like…

I forgot to tell you about my snacks. It's a good idea to pair protein and fat with your oatmeal. My favorite snacks pair a protein with a veggie or fruit. Examples: red bell pepper and cheese, celery and peanut butter, apple with cheese or peanut butter. Upping the intake of veggies with all those nice micronutrients and…

Thank you! I did finish most of the kitchen, but have a few more tasks to do. I did start on the back porch and got a lot of stuff out. Still more to do but I took a break. My BG is swinging up a little high and then too low. I'd been partaking in some snack foods which I'm sure has been causing that. Now, my snacks are…

Happy 40th anniversary! It's so nice you got to go to Germany and see all the sights/traditional clothing, etc. It's also great that you only live 40 minutes away to see your daughter and grandbaby! Sweet! My health is going along pretty well. I'm on trulicity for my diabetes and it works well. When I'm behaving on my diet…

Tish, I wish u weren't locked out of MFP. Miss u and sending hugs and prayers.

Maggie, I hope u had a good time! Tish has somehow been locked out of MFP. I had been dealing with illness. Hope u r well, and look forward to hearing from u.

Main emphasis is on decluttering and getting rid of expired stuff that started to accumulate in 2022, due to sis and me getting Covid and then long Covid So far, I've worked on my brother's upstairs room, the linen closet (yay!), part of the kitchen. I also defrosted my upright freezer, cleaned it, and got it started again…

I kept within my BG range 66 percent of the time, even though I ran out of my tresiba and I was sick. She said I was doing very well. So nice to get positive feedback from a doctor.

Howdy! Daisy had the trots from being on 2 mo antibiotic broad spectrum. I confined her to my bedroom with pads, and got her back on her advita probiotics. It works! I switched to Walgreens as my 2nd preferred pharmacy, and will see if the doc can put the prescriptions on express scripts. I had the worst time getting my…

Also, congrats on your son's engagement! My sister has been learning German on Duolingo, while iv3 been learning Spanish.

Sorry to hear of your diagnosis. It will prompt me to make some appointments! Sending hugs. So glad it was caught early enough. Thank u for posting.

I've been reading the Big Nate series by Lincoln Peirce. And I'm not ashamed to admit it! Spitsy, a dog, is my favorite character.

I wish you lived closer to me. I think we'd be good pals. I also wish you were closer to necessities.

We got a generator for the whole house, and have lost power several times in the meantime--once in the middle of a hot summer, but usually not due to the weather. Strange. When we lose power, our neighborhood is usually fixed last, meaning we're days without power. Winter will be coming again next week. We did okay last…

Same here, Tish. Rybelsus seems to be working for me. I lost another 4 pounds! It's great to have little appetite. I still have to watch what I eat of course. I am at 218 now! So thankful! My new goal is 210. The doc called in my prescriptions to CVS Caremark so I hope all goes well with that. She gave me the phone # too.…

Yes, I know which is unfortunate as no one wears masks anymore. Our state is in the red for all illnesses right now. I need to get out more, walking outside, etc.

Thank u, Maggie. The new drug is working pretty good. I won't be asking for an increase in meds though. Haha. Still tracking and doing the LC bit. Still need to start homework PT again. I lose any gains I make fairly quickly at this age. There is no time to mess around. Need to do a little each day. It's like an older car…

Stay the course. It takes time.

Been on rybelsus for a week now, as trulicity was out at the pharmacy. It's a rougher drug to take it orally rather than a shot (nauseous), but it is better after about a week. Heck, I'm just happy to have the substitute drug. It keeps me in a healthy BG range unlike insulin, even though my LC eating has been on point. PT…

Hope you've been well! I went to a crystal store the other week, and picked up a very weird bug. I am just now able to do some chores! I even wore a mask, but didn't do so in the car with my friend.

Wonderful news! Congrats!

💕 LC, so far so good. Exercise, finally, walk today and good workout at PT yesterday, walking stairs too...getting some laundry done. Will be able to pick up my new prescription late Monday or early Tuesday.

Good to hear. Doing your best is all one can do sometimes. 💕

I had to really start counting carbs again and tracking as there is a shortage of trulicity and insulin sucks for me. I am eating very little fruit, and a lot of fresh veggies...so far so good. Also went back on daily time limited eating. The good news is that doc was responsive in prescribing rybelsus (sp?) so that will…

Sending hugs today and everyday Tish. Spring is just around the corner. The sap is rising in my young male pooches who are charging around and having a good time! Daisy, being an older Miss, enjoys sleeping in the afternoon.

Thank u for checking in with me. I'm still here. 😊 My diabetes med has a shortage so I'm back to tracking every carb and making sure that it not processed for the most part. I dropped by fresh market and picked up a veggie box of asparagus and red bell pepper, along with a rotisserie chicken, and have good whole foods for…

I find it more helpful to count carbs. If I keep my carbs lower, 150 mg per day or less, then I don't eat as much. Once I got used to counting carbs, I can do it pretty easily without tracking; although, I do track once in a while to make sure I'm doing ok. I hope you find a way that works for you. I had a weight watchers…
