because my fitness pal never shows those numbers in its calculations, but i'm mainly wanting to know what i burned extra in a day. makes me feel like i did a good job when the number is near or higher to my goal intake amount

fit bit says i burn 19.6 cal per 15 min i'm stationary. thats what i went off of, so i take my burned total and take that minus 1881 which is what the days projected stationary calorie burn. I'm not trying to make things overcomplicated, i just want to know what i burned for the day, its gratifying, because i'm not under…

Ohhh i gotcha. I'm using fitbit to calculate what my bmr is based on what it says i burn doing nothing. My doctor said 1500 cal was a good goal too. I have pcos, its a different story for me.
-
I didn't think people included bmr when figuring in their deficit?
-
I know. I take my bmr out of the daily totals so i don't include it.
-
Oh i gotcha. Nah i've not changed my activity level in a while. It messes with all my macros and calorie amounts. Idk what it would do if i did. Going from lightly active to active would be a decrease in burn wouldn't it?

I asked her a good calorie intake for the day with exercise. I have pcos so i run everything by her to make sure i'm not doing something to harm myself in my efforts. I pm'd her last week to let her know i'm burning almost exactly what i'm eating and she said it was perfectly safe for me to do so. I use the treadmill in…

Thank you for responding on both threads, i don't understand what would of changed, i didn't update any of my measurementts or weigh ins, i didn't change my activity level and fitbit updated days ago.... Gunna ask in their help support forum now
-
No i went in and checked, someone else had mentioned it...

Why is this the first time i'm seeing it though? It taking a while to show up is one thing but when i think i'm under eating and i start to eat a bit more to even out my intake and go over instead because the app decides to go down by almost 150 calories in terms of what i have burned off... you can see why thats a…

I keep my log at Lightly Active because my doctor told me to aim for 1500 cal a day and its easier to get it right without whipping out my calculator every time. I have pcos so calorie counting is harder for me to do right already without this confusing mess lol... i just don't understand why it changed so drastically like…

I've had the pooches for a long time. I remember having a flat belly but i was 8 then. After puberty hit at 9 it was all downhill from there. had the pooches even at a size 14. Gosh what i would do tto go back in time and tell myself i had pcos and to lay off the donuts and pizza XD

Any time i find a belly like mine thats what they call it is a "B" belly or a "mommy" belly. I just hate i can't ware pants that fit without looking like i'm waring pants that are a size too small.. permanent muffin top :/

I am on a 3 month pill, so i can't accurately tell whats water weight and what isn't sadly. My weight does change day to day, its barely ever consistant. Right now i'm between 249 and 254 pretty steadily, so i can't go off weight as much, my measurements on the other hand have come down tho :)
-
ok, fair enough, so i have mfp set to lightly active right now, should i change it to active instead? My doctor told me to stay around 1500 cal as a goal for the day with exercise, so i had it set to lightly because its closer to that goal, it gives me 1662 cal, but if its messing with the way the app is recording my…

Ty :) and as i told ann, i didn't get the protein debate from my doctor, i got it from research, it has less to do with the protein and more with the types of fats in relation to their effects on the insulin resistance. I eat lean meats for this reason :) the plant protein i got is to make sure i get my intake at the right…
-
Ty :) to clarify on the plant vs animal protein, my doctor didn't tell me that bit. But if you look into protein intake for pcos they advise to do more plant based proteins. If memory serves it has more to do with the fat in meat but its also because factory meats usually aren't as clean as like deer for instance( thats my…

@musicfan68 musicfan68 @PAV8888 @AnnPT77 @paperpudding @glassyo @Cluelessmama1979 @lynn_glenmont @emmamcgarity I think i got everyone tagged that replied here over the last few days. So i have to address a few things. First thing is, i didn't meant to worry or upset anyone. I realize i'm not very good at writing these…

Sorry trying to get caught up. I don't have a therapist. The nearest one is in the city and i have severe driving anxiety on top of not being able to afford one. My goal wasn't to puset anyone here, i just know with pcos your standard calorie calculator doesn't work the same because your metabolism is slower. I keep trying…

Yes i log it, i log it all and accurately in ounces or grams. I was kinda hoping for a pat on the back, this week was far from easy.... did several calculators that say right around 1990 is what i'm looking at for extreme weight loss... but thats not counting exercise, so i guess i'm supposed to eat more and pray i start…

I do tho :( i eat almonds and peanut butter and beans and meat with dinners, i get enough protein i swear... i just can't eat when i'm full... i shouldn't, its what made me a blob to begin with :(
-
I upped my calories for 2 months and i just kept gaining, both in measurements and weight.... i don't want to gain anymore by over eating :( this is the first bit of progress i've had in months , i eat till i'm full. Eating when your full is unhealthy.. not to mention i don't understand why i can't eat like this long term…

I don't get how i could do better than i am... i get up around 8 or 9, have my coffee and breakfast, i eat lunch by 12, then i have dinner by 5,, then in bed by 9 and asleep by 10... To anseer you, i started having veggies and fruit in place of chips and meat, meat is expensive but i eat broccoli, sweet potatoes,…

also, i do get my protein in, i have meat at dinner and i eat almonds and peanut butter and such i never have issues with my protein amounts at all, i keep track of it closely because with the pcos its pretty important with my exercises

eating less has been the only thing to get me results. From nov 2020 to nov 2021 i was down over 60lbs doing this without feeling off or tierd or any of that, then i let myself go free over the holidays and i'm still making up for it. Eating a goal of 1679 cal like the app said for my activity level led to more weight…
-
Ok, so I set my calorie goal to the lowest. like the app says little to no activity so on days i don't get to do much, i don't go too much over the predicted amount. I have all my info up to date on the app too. i just did measurements and new weigh in this morning. As for A... my average is 5292 steps. I'm a housewife and…

Ya i use the app and fitbit. I have a hard time eating that much without having junk. One calculater say 2000 another says 1980.. hard to keep up with it all. I'm eating well though, and with all the veggies and whole foods i try to stick with, i'm just not hungry after so much.
-
I've been eating the calorie change sense mid january. As for my food logs, i log every little thing, in grams and in ounces because when i make up my recipies they are in ounces but i never skip out or not log something and if i forget i go back and fix it. Hoping getting outside more will help.
-
I started in nov 2019, 303.8lbs, struggled to understand the calorie intake so decided on 1200 because thats the bare minimum, i got really good at staying in that bracket and by nov 2021, before the holidays i was 246.8 lbs, i was so overjoyed... then the holidays, by new years i was 258 lbs, and my measureements were up…

I weigh my foods, i also avoid dairy and gluten duw to pcos. If i change my ststus on myfitnesspal to "lightly active" wanting to go for 2 lbs a week loss goal, i get a goal of 1697 cal and i have been doing so well with it this whole time but not a thing has changed in the last 3 dang months. Like i said i'm active, i…
