Bananas and fruit are full of sugar, bananas especially. Berries, less so. I know it's "healthy" sugar, but my body doesn't do well with any.

Ohhhh Think Thin bars are tremendous. 12 different flavors, though white chocolate and creamy peanut butter are my favs, 0g sugar and 20 g protein. I usually love something with more bulk in the AM, but they are are filling if you are not dependant on them all the time.

This website has a ton of information about why a calorie is not a calorie is not a calorie. :smooched: http://blog.metaboliceffect.com/ But I found that logging calories for ME helps me understand how I'm using them.

Learned this is the Metabolic Effect (google them. lots of info) - organic powdered cocoa in a hot cup of water. Add Stevia as needed. KILLS your cravings. Also, one square of 65% dark chocolate is helpful as well. Low on sugar. (Jorge Cruise, The Belly Fat Cure)

Unless I'm having my morning coffee or the occasional glass of wine at dinner, I'm having water, Crystal Lite, or a mix of the two.

>>Upon doing a Google search, the only source of claims of the toxicity of sugar is Dr. Robert Lustig. Every single article that mentions sugar as being toxic or poisonous links back to him. Generally, when information is coming from one source, it is not reliable. There were no direct studies about fructose as a whole…

You have done fantastic. Amazing work! Your BF% is impressive!! Honestly, though -- you carried weight well. Your pics at 180? - you look fit. :-) Keep it up, you've done amazing.

FANTASTIC job. You don't even look like the same person.

You look 5 years younger. Great job.

The worst thing you can do to YOU is abandon your goals to please others, smooth over their feelings. It's a big life lesson - whether it's about our eating, or how we conduct ourselves in life. Bring a salad - or whatever you'd prefer - and gently explain to her that you're not judging her choices, but for YOU, you've…

I've been swimming again and have found in the exercise tracker here that free and breast are about the same. But you can't swim at a leisurely pace. Personally, I get SO bored I switch it up all the time, 10 free, 10 breast, 10 kickboard, 10 with styrofoam ankle weights and just pull with my arms, then styrofoam weights…

If you read Metabolic Effect, it'll give you a WHOLE NEW perspective on fats. Eggs are good for you!!

Mine would definitely be how difficult it's been to BE CONSISTENT!! I work hard, take it off, then slowly put it back on. I swear I've gained and lost the same 10-25 lbs over the last 20 years! It's sad and frustrating.

Learn to like dark chocolate - Ghiradelli's 86% cacao is smooth. Low on sugar. And NIPS your cravings for sugar. ALSO....sooo good to nip the sugar craving. Put real baking coco (1-2 Tablespoons) in a cup of hot water. Add just enough stevia to make it tolerable. Can even add Whip cream (no sugar!)....it will KILL your…

Coconut water, as well!!

My brother just lost a ton of weight upon joining a site LIKE MFP as well. Religious about tracking all food, religioius about exercise. He's always been the heavy one.....and he did it. He's down under 50 lbs lost now and looks fantastic! I thought, sheesh, I don't have any excuse anymore. Quit dragging your feet! Funny…

Yessiree...heaviest I've ever been - and I exercise and watch what I eat. 5"7 and 170. I'd like to be at 145. My brother's lost 50 lbs just by counting calories since January. It's been the one thing I've resisted for a long time, believing more in "Eating clean", high protein and low sugar/carbs. This is my REAL…
