depending on the consistency you prefer, i use anywhere from 6 oz to 12 oz per scoop (typically).

sometimes i use all water, all milk, or a combination of the two. milk will make it a little thicker, and generally taste much better. i also find they are much better cold, so throwing in an ice cube or two rocks :)

    hope this helps!

ETA: depending on the flavor you can also use orange juice or other fruit juices, and as a poster above mentioned, rice milk works, almond milk, soy...etc, whatever sort of beverage you enjoy!

Depends on the brand and what I'm mixing with. If mixing with just water, the less water the better, like 4-6 oz. If making a fancy deluxe shake in the blender, I usually do 8 oz of water or milk + the other ingredients (typically banana and/or peanut butter).

It depends on the brand of shake. Some of them is 1 scoop per 8 oz of liquid (milk, water, etc). Others that I frequent are 2 scoops per 12 oz of water. Yet another I've been using is 1 packet per 8-10 oz of cold water.
