@ macrat12 From 4/27 “Find a fun exercise to do while waiting for the kettle to boil” – this is when I do calf raises – same when I’m waiting for the elevator in my office building. I love your Fitness Quotes.

I actually put my goals on my work calendar to see on a daily basis.

@Dianedoessmiles1 It's a lot of work to get and stay healthy, but the benefits are worth it! The weight loss is slow going but I know I'll get there. It's funny because I was only overweight one other time in my life and it was when I had quit smoking back in the late 90s but then I went through a divorce in 2002 and…

"Monitoring triglycerides is important for heart health. A blood test will tell you if your triglycerides are within normal limits. If they're not, high triglycerides can be a sign of other conditions such as: Type 2 diabetes or prediabetes Metabolic syndrome (cholesterol, weight and blood sugar are all a factor)…

@Tabatha_Cain Hey there! I have hypothyroid as well, but not Hashimoto's and I'm on a very low dosage of levothyroxine for it. For Hashimoto's, I think it's very important to get a specialist who knows that specific type of thyroid issue. Not all physicians understand how it works and how to treat it. I hope you find…

My exercise plan is to do stretching every day and then: 3 days per week rowing (more if I have time); 4-5 days per week treadmill; and 2-3 days per week weights/resistance workouts. With the nicer weather, it's easier to be more active outside and my goal is get at least 7,000 steps as many days as I can.

I meal plan and prepare healthy breakfasts and lunches usually on Sunday for 3 days in the office per week and each meal includes fruits and/or veggies. I always have frozen grains, fruits and veggies on hand as well which helps keep meal prep more efficient. Dinner is the chore because I cook for myself and my husband…

Thank you to all of the OALs and Team Leaders for their hard work, energy, and strength in helping others achieve their goals. It is GREATLY appreciated! This challenge brings me full circle to my first year of participating in the 5% challenges and while I have lost some and gained some back, it is easier every day to…

Your FIRST Countdown Activity: Decide Where You Want To Go On Your Journey / 5% Challenge Spring 2025: My reason: to be healthier and more active so I can enjoy doing fun stuff with the grandkids! Last year about this time was my first challenge - I actually had lost 9 lbs over the first 2 challenges I did, and then winter…

@Ceriusly1 Thank you! 😁 @macrat12 I got you! Good luck! Something strange is going on with posting; I typed and then it disappeared and it took me 4 times to post this.🙃

I love that outdoor living space! I am so looking forward to nicer weather to spend more time outside! I also usually get more exercise because I can take the dogs out for a walk after work and on weekends. How often does everyone change up their "goals" using the Guided Setup? I just did mine again today, but I think I…

@Sparkuvu same here! Working on making the healthy habits reality and permanent! 😉

@macrat12 I did that StepBet one time; they put the minimum steps so high, there was no way I could do it plus work full time, but, of course, I didn't know what the minimum was going to be until after I joined. I mean over 20k per day! I guess mine was easy money for them!

@springlering62 I have heard of replacing eggs in baking recipes with the aquafaba

@Tabatha_Cain Yay on finally being in the house and getting it set up! It takes time; we have boxes that we never did unpack from our last move in 2012 and have no intention of keeping, so they will be added to the boxes and boxes of garage sale items we have in the shed, and, of course, boxes of the kids stuff that they…

@Tabatha_Cain Ouch on that cost for hiring movers; I did it once or twice but it was only like $250 (back in my apartment days). You will be so happy when you're all done! @Dianedoessmiles1 I do think I will move again; we're hoping to buy a winter place (somewhere warm) in the next year or five. We're going to look at…
-
@Tabatha_Cain Yayyy! Congrats on finally closing and ready to move in! Don't overdo the work involved in the moving now, so you don't hurt yourself. I bet you're just thrilled! I would be too (except, I've moved so many times in my life that next time, we'll be hiring movers and/or buying a place already furnished!)! Enjoy!

This is a great challenge; it helps keep me accountable to myself. We have "healthy habits" to learn and follow but it's a life long challenge to keep up with those habits. For anyone wanting to learn what habits work and needs the encouragement and extra little push, these 5% challenges are so helpful. The challenge is to…
