  • Thanks @AnnPT77 I appreciate you!!!
  • I dont think anyone is saying that. The point is flipping burgers, stocking shelves etc. was never meant to be a career type, family supporting job. They were meant as part time high school/ retirement job or supplmental income jobs. To teach kids how to work and earn a little spending money. Where you work these types of…
  • Thanks everyone!!!! It is a very surreal feeling still.
  • @Bylli1 my best advice and I can only speak from personal experience here....would be to just start again. Don't look back at yesterday or last week just make the decision and start again. Maybe if you look at it from a different perspective it could be mentally easier for you. Instead of relying on motivation or will…
  • I'm in the minority here, but I personally do not eat my exercise calories back. Mostly because I don't trust what MRP or my HMR tells me as my calorie burns. So I use my exercise calories to account for inaccuracies in my food logging. Example a few extra grams of PB that got missed, that TBSP of oil my chicken was cooked…
  • @sharon81 Thanks!!! Yeah that first on is my biggest to date!!! and Just about the biggest ever taken on our farm.
  • I am the exact same why with veggies and fruits. If i eat them even as a side dish to a meal they make me hungrier. Like I can be eating and 15 minutes later my stomach is growling and telling me I'm still hungry if I had a bunch of veggies or fruit. However, I have found that protein and starchy veggies seem to help with…
  • 8 months ago, I couldn't run for more than 45 seconds without feeling like I was going to die. So, I started out just walking, then fast walking. I walked 5-6 miles every day. I also counted calories and watched what I ate and lost 80+ pounds. So that helped a ton too. Then about 2 months ago I joined the gym and set a…
  • I lost 80 lbs through diet (weighing and logging every bit of food) and walking almost everyday. So yes it can be done. Walking is a very underrated form of cardio. However, what @ninerbuff said is very true as well.
  • Put your info into the guided set up on your MFP profile. It will give you a starting point. Then you will have to play with your macro numbers over time. AND IT TAKES TIME to figure out. Nobody here can tell you what you specifically need. especially with the lack of info you give. One suggestion I do have is try to get…
  • I tend to lean towards what @ddsb1111 is saying in that I think Manifesting something into existence involves two components.......1. Having the thought/dream/wish......and then 2. Putting a plan/steps into action to attain said dream. A previous poster had also said something about setting small achievable goals and…
  • @ddsb1111 I will post back here later today and we can talk more about this. Because I think you and I are on the same page on this.....I think.
  • The world would be a pretty boring place if we all agreed on everything and didn't have our own opinions on things. Plus, I personally feel that looking at things from other people's point of view is how we grow socially.
  • When I had lost 40 pounds at that point, I couldn't see it in my self either......until I bought a new pair of pants and a t shirt that actually fit me and didn't hang off of me. So maybe you could try getting a new proper fitting outfit. Because surely after losing 60 pounds you have went down in sizes.
  • Thanks everyone for your input. Here's my basic routine. I lift Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Followed by 1-2 miles on the treadmill. And then on Tuesday, and Thursday. I do a core exercise circuit/routine one of the days followed by 3-5 miles on the treadmill or 15-20 miles on the stationary bike. And the other day is just…
  • This is just a suggestion and maybe it wont work for you, but what I would do is one of two things to try and start and see how it goes. 1. Cut 100 or so calories out of your earlier in the day meals and save them so you have calories left over for your evening snack. 2. Make dinner a bigger meal volume wise. Add things…
  • Same thing with the ham and egg from your lunch. I would say that your logging isn't as accurate as it needs to be.
  • You're eating more calories than your burning.... your goal is 1500 hundred and this particular day you ate 1700 and change. Also, your chicken entry for dinner is wrong, you have it logged as 2 breasts. That could be 2 3-ounce breast or 2, 10 oz breasts.....you need to weigh everything on a food scale.
  • It takes time so make sure you give it lots of time (2 years) and then just a little more and is dependent on age and genetics. No matter what having loose skin is way better than being significantly overweight. BTW congratulations on the 130lb loss, that is a serious achievement!!!!!
  • Seems like whether it would be better or not is going to depend on how ticked off and upset they might be after a long span of believing, working hard, then utterly failing. Also, if I correctly judged that I'd fail at something, why would I waste my time striving after it? That would be pretty dumb, IMO. Fundamentally, I…
  • If the outcome is the same regardless of if you believe wholeheartedly in it or not. Wouldn't it be better on a person to believe in themselves and be happy about the it rather than be pissed off and upset because you know you're going to fail anyway. Also, if everyone only set goals that were achievable/realistic as they…
  • I don't know that its, that I'm uncomfortable that they are not living up to some social construct. But that it seems to be a pattern with some people, where these particular people always have something to complain about or want the pity/ poor me party cause something bad "happened" to them. And yes, for the record I work…
  • Pumpkin pie slathered in whipped cream!!!!!
  • @kutterba You can say men lose weight differently than women sure......but to say we lose weight easily is a pretty bold and unfair statement. Ive lost a pretty significant amout of weight in the last 10 months and it has been anything but easy.
  • I have no idea what your other stats are, but I would not suggest that you reduce your calorie intake less the 1200 per day. As the above poster asked.... Why did you reduce your calories from 1400-1600 in the first place? If you were losing weight on that calorie intake. I would go back to that. And continue the added…
  • Strictly from a weight loss standpoint carb, protein, fat macro make up doesn't matter. Overall calorie consumption is what matters. IF you are in a calorie deficit you will lose weight. Macros matter more so sanity, energy levels, feeling full longer. OR if your trying to gain muscle mass...etc. If you gave us more…
  • Thanks everyone for your replies on this, I do find this topic to be extremely interesting. I think that some of this also has to do with the "power of positivity" I see it at work a lot with my co-workers and customers. And it usually starts right off the bat with the first interaction. Example, arrive at work and say,…
  • I haven't posted on these boards a lot, but I've been around for 10-11 months now. And I see you post a lot about stuff like this. 4 weeks isn't really that long of a time considering that you are female. I've seen in some of your previous post's others have suggested for you to start using a weight trending app..... libra…
  • Now this is all personal example and will not work for everyone but it can't hurt to try if you're stuck. I have found that when my weight loss stalls out or slows way down. I can typically take a weekend off and by off, I mean eat 250-500 more calories than I normally would. And its typically not "healthy food" I'm taking…
