So, my approach had been to double my resting heartrate. 60 to 110/120.when I stand still to pet a dog, change music my heartrate drops to like 80.I can keep going for 3 to 4 hours before my body demands to be fed more than a banana. I am than not in a cardio heartrate. That start quite a bit higher. Should I move shorter…

So I am 211lbs/96kg. I was really sedentary as moving was just a struggle. I gained 35kg over 15 years. Than when I started to recover from heartsurgery I gained really fast 10 kg. It didn't make any sense to me but I cut out sugar and went to eat more food, so I am down now 14kg. Swim nearly everyday. I walk the 2000…

My kcal target is all over the place. Minimum I have to eat is 1200. Maximum on sedentary days is 1600kcal. Every 1000 steps gives me 50kcal. I eat loads of fruit on active days, body needs fual. Do I weigh it on a daily basis? No. I just take note when I buy it. I don't buy more than 1400 kcal a week.

I was in starvation for at least 10 years. In December 2020 I got a really bad arithmia, put on verapamil, a calcium channel blocker, that made me more active, also more hungry, gained 10 kg/22lbs in 8 months, had heart surgery end of July. Lost the 10 kg again while getting able to walk around again. Started to gain…

Got it

Yeah with walking so far not injured bones muscles or tendons. Just the bursa is struggling with the repeated motion. And even sometimes I needed my gp to clarify it was again just bursa that got inflamed, and i could keep walking with painmeds I still not trust my body. As I walk on walking shoes should I start walking…

I just tried to make a point why, food/nutrition calories are far superior to sugar calories. People unable to cut out sugar while on a calorie restricted diet sometimes need the sugar rush to get active. Making being active way harder as they have a bloodsugar dip. Ofcourse loosing weight is cico. But getting active, and…

To combine this with low acid/reduced potassium. Ehmm. Gets really restricted. For sure no vinegar, tomatoes, banana. On FODMAP after step 4 you could restrict again, and reintroduce 1 by 1. Difference bowel/bladder. Bladder gives symptoms after 2 hours. Bowels can take 48 hours.
-
Ok... fodmap should be done with a registered dietitian. What part of the diet are you on? Step 1? I ate for a month nothing else than 4 things. Cauliflower rice pudding groundbeef from a butcher(no additives at all) and potatoes. Boiled. It did calm down the ibs, i stopped throwing up. Stool returned to solid. Weightloss…

So, ehm you are analog, this suggestion is terrible, but I got insight when I bought a fitbit with a years premium included. Best 60 euro spend ever. If you have premium on mfp you can scan labels. Is your plan to just cut carbs? Or cut calories/ loose weight? Move more?

The issue with sugar calories is, that it has no nutritional value. If I drink coffee with sugar, and I go for a walk, my body will first use the 5 or 10 grams of sugar, 20 to 40 calories. And only after that the body will signal to turn on fatburn. If you eat a sandwich, your body starts processing the food, what cost…

And what is your plan? Eat less, move more?

I noticed I used burned calories as if that was from exercise, but I do combine time + exercise all the time. My fitbit keeps track, and even if it is really off, the 45 minute walk, that took me an hour yesterday said 442 calories burned. Moving really cost allot of energy still. I use a fitbit so that my icm (implanted…

I woke up at 5am... like why? I can sleep 3 more hours! But I am sure about the coffee. The mug is 12 Oz or 330ml. I use 10 grams of sugar in it. The coffee is from a senseo so that is exact 120 ml. 10grams of sugar = 2 cubes of 5g is 40kcal. Milk is 46kcal per 100 ml. 190ml I use to get nice tasting coffee. I reduced the…

And did you manage to loose them again?
-
Yeah it is the combination of issues that is now the issue. Lol. I geuss I do have to start with a better start of the day. I take a day off tomorrow of it all and visit a goatfarm. Who knows what they feed me! I better eat breakfast before traveling there. Also bringing a small bottle of regular coca cola to stay on top…

Yeah I am very aware I am under fueling. I gained 88 pounds over 17 years. The diagnose was somewhere like 15 years ago me/ cfs. About a 2 years ago it started to improve. It is high compared to my intake the last 15 years. I just barely eat. But also did not move at all. The moving improved, the eating not. I know the…

Can you say what you ate? If you burn more than 50% on top of your base metabolic rate, in 1 session you should really watch your protein and intake. I never use stone as a unit so have to believe google, 252 lbs is to sustain/maintain 1850 kcal for a male. To not get stuck with skin that just doesn't bounce back, make…

I just got a fitbit inspire hr 2. For 56 euros. It tracks heartrate accurate, I know this for sure as I have an medical implanted heartrate monitor, that was used during corona to see if I really needed surgery asap. I did, so the issue got fix after 6m but the battery life is 3 to 5 years. I picked this fitbit as it was…

When I just got disabled 20 years ago they made me train my arms and torso. By giving me something in my hands that i had to hold in position. Later also circle. And also practical things. On your bum up and down the stairs. (Always with someone down stairs of you, incase you slip). And check floor core exercises. At pt or…

What you call an old post. I got surgery to stop my heart racing. Really amazing diffrence. Way less oedema. Still 1 heartmedication to lower my blood pressure. Got in less than a month a follow up and see if I can get of that medication too. I was told until this next follow up to stay below 3x rest heartrate. 65 so 190.…

Shoes are an issue. I had major issues with health 17 years ago. Most got worse and worse for like 10 years, but also things started to improve after 2015. So I don't run. I had special orthopedic shoes as my feet really where turned inwards, combined with very floppy feet. Read had, past tense. Shin splint can also start…
-
Do you have a suggestion to prevent shin splint. I don't run or jump but do have a bit extra weight to carry around. I had them in the past and start to feel sore on the front again. Website or youtube links are also welcome!

Make sure you run this plan by someone really knowledgeable. Your bmr is like 1600 kcal. 10000 steps is like 450 kcal at your current weight, so you are deficit 750 kcal a day, if you exactly hit the targets.(my gp put my intake at 1700 and I am only 40 lbs heavier) 3500 kcal to loose 1 pound of fat. You lost 12 lbs in 78…

Love the reaction, 2 snippets to react on. I was 65kg/143lbs when I went down with the viral infection that caused the Cfs. I was 58kg/129lbs when I was released from hospital. 18 days to get blood values in check so would not constantly pass out. So weight wasn't a thing for me. In December 2020 I started fainting again,…

I am only able to maintain weight with counting calories. I got a bad hip/knee injury that just needed love tender care en rest. Doc was right but it took me of the road of weightloss. I was 220 lbs/100 kilos when I got injured and still was when I took my first half mile walk again (6 months). My gp did the math on how…

For me fast-food is a reward, but I also walk to the fast food place and back. So it are maybe bad calories but it is not like I have less deficit calories. I am from the EU so fast-food is not really close by. 5km walk for burger with fries isn't that horrible (at 220 pounds that walk cost 360kcal. Just very time…
