  • I'm using the Surge, and it does the same thing. But, before I had the surge, I had a bodymedia arm band, and it showed the same thing - just a daily total, not broken down. I think it has more to do with the way the two site communicate. Neither give specific information in mfp, but if you log in to the fitbit website, it…
  • Hi! I had the Bodymedia arm band too! I have the surge and Loooove it so far! (Bought it in Target  )
  • Cucumbers, cantaloupes, watermelon, potatoes, tomatoes, lots of pole beans, squash (maybe - the last two years we've had an issue with vine borer bugs). I think I'm forgetting some things.
  • You can also tear paper towels in strips and dredge it across the top after all the grease comes to the top. That works too. I try to make mine enough in advance to put it in the fridge for a while, and remove it that way too.
  • Sometimes I wear mine on my left leg, below my knee. The days I do this, it seems I am pretty busy. So I don't know if I am getting exaggerated results, or if I am truly up moving around more those days.
  • I haven't noticed it with my steps, but I just noticed the same thing with my burned calories. It went down by about 30, which isn't huge, but it caught my attention.
  • It tooks several months to have my gallbladder issue figured out - the key was to have my bloodwork done when I was actively having an attack. I had several rounds of blood work done, but none showed any issues until I went to my doc when I was in pain. Ta-da, it showed up.
  • I've done a couple, and lost everyone I tried. It's fun to try, and more power to those who win. I always seemed to gain back what I initially lost, but that's on me, not dietbet.

  • Measure it before you put the meat in, and then measure what is left after you take the meat out. Log the difference. :)
  • Momma said knock you out.... Don't call it a come back!
  • Last summer..Maybe July?
  • I'm here... Married 5 years on the 26th :)
  • It's never drained my battery on my phone nor on my bodymedia very badly to log a workout....I don't (personally) think you need a HRM...that's what the bodymedia is there for. I've had mine for about a month and try to plug it in every day, but there have been a couple of times (If I have left my cord at work and needed…
  • There is a way to log a work out, and it gives you some good data there (time, steps, calories, total activity and vigorous) so you can log it seperately in MFP..For the bodymedia software it has a running total, including workouts. In the activity manager on line, it gives you good feed back in a graph and it's really…
  • I've got the body media link and I love it. I've had it for a little over a month, and it's shown me a lot (I'm more active than I thought I was, and I don't work out nearly as hard as I thought I did, it makes me push harder). I like how it interacts with MFP for feed about about what you are eating, but I don't like the…
  • I had mine removed in 2011, and I feel so much better since I had it done. You can still lose weight, but you need to make better food choices regardless if the majority of your diet is fast food. Plan ahead, pack your food and eat healthier.
  • I think "try" to keep that deficit is the key word for me, lol. I'm still on a learning curve with mine even after using it a month. Sometimes it's a larger deficit, sometimes it's smaller. Hopefully I will get the hang of it!
  • Mine will have an adjustment at like 7 am..Sometimes my exercise will carry to MFP at the end of the day, typically it doesn't. I don't use MFP to suggest my calories for the day. I try to stay at a deficit of 1,000 calories based on what my bodymedia says, but I never eat below 1400 calories (I Hope that makes sense...).…
  • I've got the bodymedia Link, and I was really surprised at how much I burn. It's a lot more than I thought it would be. I just stick with a 1,000 calorie deficit based on what my link says, not what MFP says I need to eat in a day.
  • FTW....This cracked me up...
  • Darn bullies....Zero tolerance! (.... This is exactly how I needed to start my morning..., thank you..)
  • At this point (for me) I just use MFP to log my food and count the calories I've consumed, and watch my calories on my bodylink and by the end of the day, try to have a 1,000 calorie deficit. I've only had mine for about 2 weeks, so I really maybe the wrong one to contribute to this thread.
  • I try to go for a 1,000 calorie defecit with my bodymedia link instead of a percentage. I don't know which way is better, and I'm still trying to adjust for my calories late in the evening...
  • I've done two (lost both because I didn't try) but I'm getting ready to try another one. If anyone is interested, we start on Monday. Message me and I can give you the link. We are a small group of 9 so far with a $10 buy in.
  • I love my zumba class! Our gym has 2 different instructors, but one is a lot better than the other. If you try it , don't stand in the back! You won't be able to see anything (I learned the hard way). Go give it a chance. :)
