  • Hi Kshama2001, Yes I have noticed that pants fit better and I definitely look better than before. I tried to take measurements but It was hard to get an accurate measure when trying to use a soft measuring tape on my own. I need someone to help hold it up around my waist or chest so I can get an accurate number. I will do…
  • AnnPT77, thank you for your thorough response!! Wow, so I think I was doing more of a calorie deficit than I realized (625 vs 500). I will do the calculations you suggest to find my new numbers. I asked the previous person this as well, but how do you truly know what weights you should lift? Since Jan I went from 2 to 4 to…
  • Hi, thanks for your reply! So my question is how do I know if I am lifting heavy enough dumbbells? Prior to Jan 2, I had never lifted a dumbbell in my life practically. I started out at 2lbs, LOL I know super low but at the time it was a good starter weight. Then I went up to 6.6. Now I am at 8 lbs. Doing the various…
  • According to the TDEE calculator, my maintenance calories are 1700. So since I can't go lower than 1200, I've been doing 1200 since Jan. It seems like some of the weight came off faster in the beginning but now has slowed. I only weigh myself 1x a month so I don't track the rate of loss. My current weight maybe could be a…
  • 50 lbs in 10 months is not slow! It is an ideal rate to lose weight because whatever you've been doing over 10 months is a lifestyle change. It took me 12 months to lose 60 lbs...I didn't think it was slow but it wasn't fast either. It seemed to be the perfect rate to make it a permanent part of my lifestyle.
  • Thank you, yeah - I do take some supplements such as Vitamin D, B12, Omega 3, Calcium. I'll be getting annual bloodwork done soon so then I'll know for sure if everything is good!
  • It is usually Fridays and Saturdays, but it still fits into my 1200 calorie limit.
  • I know I couldn't do a strict OMAD diet because I need more than 1 hour a day to eat! Well, I just did my 2 month weigh in (Jan 2-March 2) and the scale says I've lost 12 lbs. I have also been strength training 2x a week . So the almost OMAD-1200 calories has been working! Now I just wonder if I can lose another 12 pounds…
  • ah hi fellow short person! lol, technically I'm 5'1 1/2, so I sometimes round down to 5'1 to account for any mistakes I make counting calories. Yes! I may have a coffee in the morning, and lately for "lunch" I may have a little turkey lunch meat and a apple. Then I'll save my remaining 800 or 900 for a decent dinner and…
  • Wow! Thank you so much for your very thorough response! 10 years ago when I was 27, I was at my highest weight (5'1 and 165 lbs). I looked in the mirror that summer while on vacation and realized I needed to make a change. Back then, I had a really weird and unhealthy routine!! I taught high school so I would wake up at…
  • Oh I didn't know that! I find it easier to do on a day I'm not working since I don't use my brain as much lol.
  • That would be great! I just used one of those calculators and put "lightly active." I am a teacher so I do stand a bit during the day even though I only exercise on weekends. That would mean I could eat 1400 and still lose weight!
  • "Ok, if you're female and MFP gives you 1200 calories per day to eat then chose a lower weightloss goal per week until you get a number that is higher than 1200 calories." ^^This may not apply to you. If you are female and petite, 1200 may be required for you to lose weight. I am 5'1, 37 yrs old and to have a calorie…
