  • Update: it’s been 32 days and I kept to consuming 1450 calories daily and kept to weight lifting 3x/week and cardio 2x/week of exercise. I’ve lost 2.2lbs and 1inch in measurements in each section(upper waist, lower waist, hips, bum, each thigh). So far soo good.
  • Update: it’s been 32 days and I kept to consuming 1450 calories daily and not eating the extra calories allowed for exercise. I’ve lost 2.2lbs and 1inch in measurements in each section(upper waist, lower waist, hips, bum, each thigh). So far soo good.
  • It was interesting to read people’s varying opinions. Goes to show how everyone’s journeys are soo soo very different. The goal is the same for being healthy and getting into shape but the paths, there are soo many ways to get there. No wonder it can be a challenge…there’s no clear cookie cutter guaranteed answer to…
  • I would ask how well in neutral is your pelvis when doing core exercises, even tho you’ve been working on core for soo long. In order to accomplish the posterior pelvic tilt your after, remember it’s a combination of pelvic floor muscles, abdominal/core muscles and glutes/hamstrings. These all need to be flexible enough to…
  • Postpartum Anterior Pelvic Tilt can be a result of weakened pelvic floor musculature and abdominal/core musculature. Just a suggestion but try focusing on those muscles to get started. Good luck
  • My absolute favorite. I’m intolerant to lactose, cassein, soy, whey etc… this is only one that doesn’t bother me. And it’s delicious.
  • It seems to be close enough to a Fitbit I wear as well as when I use the tonal machine because it takes into account my current weight, the total amount of weight moved after entering all the specific movements, weights used for each, reps and sets and the time it takes me to complete it. So …for me it’s close enough.
  • The old adage still holds true “ abs are made in the kitchen”. Plug in your info and let MFP give you the carb and fat breakdown for your daily intake. Also as I’ve always understood abs should be worked no more than 3x/week. I know ppl break down upper abs and lower abs but the reality is it’s one muscle (rectus…
  • In my 30s and 40s I ran multiple half and full marathons. I love running. Here’s my tip…I followed either Hal Higdon or Jeff Galloway programs. Love them both. Check them out. Running marathons is a joy. Have fun.
  • I’m absolutely no expert but my opinion is this…you’re looking for more definition…stick to your 1700 daily calorie intake but pay more attention to your carb and fat intake and purchase a set of dumbbells. In addition abs are as any other muscle in the body, sounds like your training them every day. If you are, then stop.…
  • I personally began with insomnia after menopause. It’s been a struggle for few years now. I would wake up numerous times in the night starting at 3:00am. I find when I get sleepy I go to bed. If I fight to stay awake and pass the “window” I won’t be sleeping that night. Reading a paperback before bedtime for 15-20 min gets…
  • Almond creamer and it comes in a few different flavors.
  • I’m following MFP calorie calculation because if your specific with specific movements, weights used, reps, sets, duration, I feel there’s a better chance of more accuracy. Fitbit doesn’t offer that.

  • I know different than anyone else but I listen to Christian radio while working out. The Message on Sirius radio. I get in my exercise and prayers. Been doing this for 20+ years. Gives me motivation.
  • I have been creating workout routines. Entering every movement performed, weight used , reps completed, number of sets and duration it took me to complete the routine. MFP has been calculating the calories burned. Not sure how accurate it is but that’s what I’ve been doing. And I follow a (4) week program at a time soo…
  • Yes that does make sense. I’m manually entering my exercise into MFP. On strength days I’m entering the specific movements with weight used, reps and sets. It’s then calculating the calories burned. On cardio days I manually enter the activity and entering the calories burned myself based on an app I use called Map My Run.…
  • Yes I’m post-menapausal and was off of all exercise starting November. Turned out hip tendinitis and snapping hip syndrome. I’ve never taken off exercise that long ever. I started back end of January slowly getting back to the gym and better balancing strengthening my hip musculature. Snapping hip syndrome I still have.…
