@grandmallie thanks! I don't qualify for diabetic meds as I am only prediabetic but have a prescription for Wegovy but it has been on backorder for months and my insurance runs out end of year. I'm happy for your success however! That's great!

@Whidislander thanks so much for your kind reply. I will start anew tomorrow with the goal to eat thoughtfully as you suggested.

Hello y'all, Been really struggling to stay under my calorie goals and tempted by the sweet treats I am bringing into my house for all of the "other people " and then some how end up eating more than I give to them. I feel so out of control when it comes to food sometimes and I don't know why I keep giving in and…

@pipcd34 I used to live in AK. It's very beautiful. I recommend back up dramamine for the cruise, and mosquito spray, they tend to swarm in the summer though they aren't as aggressive as they are here in TX. Have fun! Watch out for bears and make sure you put a little noise maker like bells on your backpack if you go…

@Machka9 with the size of my belly I'm not sure lol. But I did used to try a modified crunch on a yoga ball. Good advice I'll see what I can do. I walked around Costco for 2 hours yesterday and am in a lot of pain today unfortunately.

@exermom sometimes you can find a chiropractor that will work with you on payments. I had a great one who took $35 instead of his usual $50 when insurance ran out. Have you had a car accident in the past year? Sometimes injuries can show up much later. Car insurance will cover medical care if you are in the USA? Back pain…

Wow @kevrit I'll check it out. Thanks so much!

@SophieRosieMom I am prediabetic. I have insurance till the end of the year so that might be a thing. I have done "noom" before. I found it to just moderately helpful. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try to check them out!

@Whidislander hi yes thanks for the feedback. I have been thinking about seated excercise. The ladies at church were talking about some YouTube videos. I guess I can start there and work towards swimming. Hmm maybe 2 times a week to start.

Good morning! I took a couple days off of sharing with y'all and weighing and measuring and of course this week shows a small gain. Back to work and learning to be the disciplined healthy lady I know I can be with Jesus help. Sleep study is actually tonight. I got confused last week and thought it was a different day but I…

@LisaInArkansas thanks for the feedback! I just got out of the boot for a second time a couple weeks ago. I am doing stretches and supposed to take it easy for 6 weeks. My weight keeps reinjuring it.

Morning y'all! Thanks so much to those of you who respond. It is truly encouraging. I was excited to see the weighing and measuring food actually paid off this morning with a 1.5 pound weight loss. Yay! Son is coming over tonight and has requested chicken sandwiches. I told my husband we are going to be eating a lot more…

@dlfk202000 have you considered investing in a robot vacuum. I have one with a self emptying tower. It cost under $90. It has been one of the best things I've ever gotten. Yes it gets itself stuck from time to time, but I happily rescue it. Lol

@grandmallie that is so much money! I which hoas would be considerate of the financial times we are living in. I'm sorry you are dealing with that. Hopefully you and others speaking out at the hoa meetings will curb the crazy spending and demands. I will pray on this for you. Hope things get better!

Morning y'all. Thinking this morning on my rebellious feelings towards weighing and measuring food and how each diet I start of with big losses and always stall out till I commit to accuracy towards my food consumption. Why do I always think, "This time I can eyeball it and be successful?" Why do I always fight this stage…

@Whidislander Hi Whidi! I'm Penny. I don't know about the whole no shampoo kick but I do know that washing his hair with ACV has greatly improved my husband's hair health. He has always had bad dandruff and after a few months of ACV (it's in an Aveeno shampoo product) his hair is much nicer, no visible dandruff, and most…

Hi y'all Penny from Texas here. Still getting to know y'all. I just turned 50 and have a lot of weight to lose. I was listening to a podcast this morning titled "Hugging the Cactus " that's been inspiring me today. It was about how conquering a bad habit was not focusing on the habit but on the type of person you want to…

I feel the same way @Lady_Magenta. So far this has been the worst group app for support I've ever been a part of. People rarely reply to others. It feels like everyone might be suffering from self absorbtion? IDK maybe it's just the clunkiness of replying? But yeah I am 10 pounds down and suffering from everybody seems to…

I am a person who takes care of my health and takes care of my body's needs instead of using quick fixes like junk food to mask the problem. :)

I tend to want to eat when I don't feel well. It's like I think if I can just find the right food, I will feel better, but more often than not I feel better briefly and then I'm back to the same overly tired barely able to function feeling.
-
@Chabang I just turned 50 also and just joined this group too. :)
-
I'm just getting started again too, and I'm new to the community although I have been using this app off an on for 3 years or so. Hopefully we can all support each other.

Thanks everyone!

Hi y'all Penny from Texas here. Just turned 50 and I'm battling 320+ pounds on a partially torn Achilles. So ready to get healthy and have a supportive community to help. Thanks for the group
