You are not the only one. Many of us are repeat losers and we are much older now. But the good news is that this can be the last time. You just have to find a way of eating and exercising that you can keep up with for the rest of your life. Many success stories here continue to use the sight after they lose the weight to…

Welcome to mfp. Great attitude.

Try building it into your eating schedule. You have to create a calorie deficit. Your body doesn't care when you consume the calories. There is nothing that says you have to eat breakfast in the morning and have your dinner at 6pm. Schedule your meals and snacks when it works best for you.
-
Success is also motivating. Try making changes that you don't find difficult keeping. Losing weight doesn't have to be difficult.

Click on the person's name Click on 'my fitness profile' Click on 'add as a friend' Not many people take friend requests anymore. It is easier to communicate through communities.

You are off to a good start. Congrats.

Welcome to mfp. Good luck with your new medication. Learning portion control should also help with your blood sugar control.

I was born with a genetic disorder that limits my ability to exercise. I'm not wheel chair bound but definitely need mobility devices to do things like shopping. I do most of my exercise from a seated position. I can tell you that it is possible to lose weight without exercise. Feel free to join my community. I'll be happy…

Welcome to mfp Jen. I'm sorry you had to give up your job. But I know from experience you can always find a new love in life. I was born disabled so I've had to give up and learn to love new things many times. Your wonderful attitude will definitely help you succeed.

Welcome to mfp. As a diabetic, the first thing I would recommend is start eating in portions. That has helped me tremendously. If you need to do a little more you can then look at limiting, eliminating high glycemic foods. I focus on protein and fiber. You don't have to eliminate carbs but protein, fiber and fat digest…

That sounds like a wonderful dream. Welcome to mfp!

Welcome to mfp and the start of your fitness journey. I don't take any medication for weight loss myself but from being around, make sure you get enough protein and a little resistance training to keep from having muscle loss. Other than that find a method of eating and exercise that work for you and rock your 50s! Good…

Welcome to mfp. Can you be a little more specific in what you are looking for?

That is a lot to unpack. Just try to do a bit at a time. I am disabled. my ability to exercise is limited. I use chair exercises and recently started fidgeting. But I can tell you that you can lose weight without exercise. I've lost 21.4 pounds since Jan 5th and 28lbs from my highest weight. Small reasonable changes, move…

You have the wider community that you can access by categories or discussions. Categories are simply how the discussions are organized. Like the table of contents/index of a book. Groups are smaller communities that you join where you can socialize with other members of that group. I post in the larger community to offer…

I actually got hit on by a woman. Not sure if she thought I was a man. She was hot. So even if it's not a man in disguise I'm sure it's still a catfish. I cheated yesterday. I swore off weighing myself after monday because I didn't want to know the damage of eating twice the number of calories I normally do. It is odd that…

The bf and I eat separately. He doesn't like hot food. He also thinks I eat too much food. So if he ate what I ate, he might not get enough calories for the day. Today was stuffed peppers again. Both meals. It's not super important to me to have different meals each day and I chose the lazy way out. I was going to give…

If your body is telling you to rest, rest. If the feeling persists, go see your doctor. Losing weight shouldn't make you feel bad.

omg. i think i would have curled up in bed and refused to come out. My dog (log passed) had always walked herself. It always made me nervous when she went off property because she was the type of dog that people usually fear. I'm glad yours came home ok.

log you food and stay within the calorie goal that mfp gives you. you have to decide yourself what you are going to eat.

Live and learn. Each moment is a choice. Leave the past in the past even if it was just a moment ago. I've had family wreck my calorie plans for the day before. They are learning (at least my aunt is) not to surprise me with food. But I am also learning. Monday I was sent surprise left overs. I chose to eat it and skip…

Food is fuel. The only way a 'diet' can work is if it puts you in a calorie deficit. Find a way of eating and exercising that you can sustain. Keep a food log and weigh your food. You have so many calorie that you can spend during the day. You get to decide what to do with it.
-
i found chia seeds to be a wonderful way to pad calories and get good fiber too.

There are people here who do the carnivore diet. You simply need to try it and see if it suits you. The only thing that makes a 'diet' work is creating a calorie deficit. So it's more about finding away to eat and exercise that you can sustain rather than applying a label to how you eat. Good luck!
