Morning check in. Scale was down to 177.4 this morning. Went out to trivia last night. Didn't have a single french fry (a huge accomplishment). Did have steak, mashed potatoes and green beans. Which were all delicious and the steak was so big. Though I did have a few onion rings that were offered to me. I can feel the…

That sounds like a great day.

Exactly. And if you are hungry or craving something else, looks like you have plenty of wiggle room to fit it in if you would like. Some days we're just hungrier than others. I'd adjust by how you feel.

I decided I'm tracking my weight every day, even logging the upward fluctuations. Weight loss isn't linear, so it's time I got used to that. Yesterday I was up a pound at 178.8. Today I'm back down to 177.6. I know a lot of that is due to sodium intake and water retention. Though I will be very happy when the scale gets…

I loved Black Panther! My boyfriend and I saw it Thursday night. It was such a fun story, and I loved all of the women in it. I definitely want to see it again. Those women are all bad *kitten* goals.

Thanks for all of the great information, guys. I like to walk for a half hour on my lunch breaks, since I'm stuck at a desk all day. But it's good to hear about all of your success without intense workouts. I've done extreme workouts, and felt better, but never lost weight on them. I will say, my arms looked awesome when I…

That's a really amazing loss. You've got this!

Whoo nerds! Though I appreciate Star Trek, I've always been more of a Star Wars fan (though I am currently a bitter expanded universe fan). And I am big in to comics, particularly Marvel and Saga.

You're all awesome. Started this morning with low energy, though that could definitely be the weather. I've got my water bottle and my tea, and I'm set to get through the day.

Thank you guys! Just finished my meal for the day. Sausage and potatoes and peppers. Feeling mostly good but a little thirsty, so drinking water the rest of the night.

Thank you!

Hey everyone. My name is Miranda, feel free to call me that or my username. I currently weight 177.6 (down 6 pounds!). I'm 5'3". I've been struggling with my weight all of my life. I was the fat kid growing up. I was able to get down to 125 once, but dealing with medical issues with family members I used food to cope. And…

I don't have any advice, but I suffer from ankle pain/weak ankles, too, so I'm interested to see what others offer. I do ankle rolls sitting at my desk at work to try to keep everything loose. Not sure it makes a difference.

I did a month of the regular p90x a few years ago. Been meaning to start again. I had similar results as you. But, I lost a lot of inches. 2 from my waist, half inch form each arm, 2 from my thighs, 1 from my calves. You're retaining water while your muscles are being torn and repaired. The only thing you might want to do…

Same here. Also feeling relieved it's not just me. Mainly commenting so I can keep track with you guys and see what's going on.

I love roller skating! I'm still a rink only kind of girl, and don't make it out nearly as often as I want to. I did buy my own skates, so I'm just looking for some flat places to bust them out where I won't kill myself.

I don't have anything to add because I'm still a work in progress. But I love reading all your stories.

I wear a corest for period costuming purposes. You should never wear a corset that is uncomfortable. It should never be painful. Yes, it will reduce your waist size while you're wearing it, but the corset comes off and everything goes back to normal. The biggest 'benefit' I could see it having to weight loss is loss of…

Yay getting fit for cosplay! It's my ultimate goal, as well. Though I did just say F it and went as black widow (with my boyfriend as the winter soldier) to this past Dragon Con. I was corsetted to hell but I had so much fun. I imagine it will only get better as a lose more weight and no longer need the corset. Our next…

Congrats! It's awesome when our will power is put to the test and we pass!

I love seeing all the cosplayers! I've gone as Rogue, with my boyfriend as Gambit, when I was at my fittest. We've also done Tony Stark and Pepper Potts. Though he only dresses up to make me happy. I'm using cosplay as a reward. If I get in to shape, I can spend the money to make my costumes. Scarlet Witch will be the…

I'm the same way. My office always has a lot of free feed that people bring in. I've just tried to make it a habit to ignore it. Some days I absolutely cave and eat the free food. And I think that's key. Resist %90 of the time, cave %10. One bad decision won't screw you up as long as the rest is good.

Yay Philly! I'm from the burbs, but you have to love Philly.
-
Try breaking them in half. Take one half with breakfast and one half with dinner. The food and smaller amount at a time should help.
-
Thanks for all the great info everyone!

Have you tried playing around with what you're eating? Maybe up the protein and drop the carbs and sugars? I know for me personally, I do better when I keep carbs under 130gms sugar under 30. I don't know if that would work for you, but it can't hurt to try. Whatever you do, just don't give up.

Go Phillies!

Were you working out a lot before you started? If your muscles aren't used to the work out, you could be retaining a lot of water. Muscles hold on to water as they're torn so they can repair. It's a good thing in the long run.

Day 5 for me. It's hard, but I already feel better. Drink a ton of water. And if you plan to do the whole 30 days straight through, do it. Don't try to talk yourself out of it because you feel sore. I was miserable the morning after I started, but did Day 2 that night. 5 days in and I'm hardly sore at all. I won't say it…

It it's not too late, I would love to join. This sounds perfect for me.
