  • @snowshoe072 I’m so glad your knee is feeling better. Hooray ! And wise choices are so …WISE! @TerriRichardson112 , I love your consistency in starting the morning with a positive mindset. I’m pleased that I was able to get a lot of biking in this week. Basically, when the puppy is napping, I jump on the spin bike. So…
  • Hooray! 😃 I got a yoga workout in! The first time since our little Tasmanian Devil moved in. Last night’s wildness after a run to the vet to get a bee stinger removed from her paw. It was a rough day and required an extra long nap afterwards, but she was all better by bed time.
  • I’ve been doing okay getting some exercise in when the puppy is out in the backyard and I’m keeping an eye on her. I can do a dumbbell workout but not cardio since I’m likely to step on her. She’s always underfoot. I’m still pretty tired because she needs to go out at night. @Interbeing , I love the graph! That’s so cool!…
  • 10 minutes of walking, biking, rebounding, or dancing 10 squats 10 pushups Track food Stay within calories My tiny habits have been helping. Although I didn’t do my squats and pushups one day, I stuck with the others. I’ve got a few walks in, two strength workouts, an evening of dancing and today I even did some yoga while…
  • Thanks @snowshoe072 ! Your pup is adorable. We have named our new pup Lucy. I was correct when I guessed that she would seriously impact my usual routine. So in honor of Lucy and the theme of the month, I’m going back to tiny habits. 10 minutes of walking, biking, rebounding, or dancing 10 squats 10 pushups Track food Stay…
  • Today was new puppy day at my house, so my routine is going to go through a revision process or a revolution. I know she’ll make a terrific workout buddy although she’s still too little to take much of a walk or meet up with other dogs. I love the tiny habit plan. It’s been so successful for me. I may take a few days to…
  • Wow! That’s an amazing weight loss @Interbeing ! I just got my bloodwork results and was disappointed that my bad cholesterol was up, but my husband’s (who doesn’t watch his diet at all) was down. I am looking forward to my first bone scan, hoping all this exercise shows up there.
  • @PennyinTX , that’s so inspiring! Come join our November discussion which will be posted soon.
  • @macrat12 , that’s great consistency! @snowshoe072 sounds like a solid win! I’ve been slacking off on posting. I’m feeling awfully overwhelmed with day to day life, but I’ve stuck with my healthy habits. I’m calling October a complete win. The weather is finally cooling off, so I’m getting in more walking. I continued my…
  • @Interbeing , sorry the newsfeed is gone. You missed all the weeping, wailing, and tearing of hair. So , the best way to get support now is to jump into a group or two and get the support. Welcome ! My dance weekend was so wonderful! We danced on Friday and Saturday for hours and hours. Wow! I wrote this, and saved the…
  • @snowshoe072 , walking at lunchtime is a great plan. @TerriRichardson112 , good job sticking with the meditation. One of the habits I adopted when I set out to get more active was dancing. Here’s a photo of the email printout from my first attempt at English Country Dancing. 16 years later, I called a whole evening of…
  • @BodyTalking , that’s cool that you’re studying Czech! @snowshoe072 , I love my spin bike! It’s a great way to push myself or to squeeze in a workout. I just ordered a workout device. I’ve been reading about how good rebounding is, so I bought a mini trampoline. I really don’t have room in my tiny house, but I just went…
  • Nice tracking of your goals @BodyTalking ! Here’s another heathy habit I’ve been working on. Every day I spend a little time studying French on Duolingo. It’s good to challenge my monolingual brain. .
  • Here’s a habit I’ve been working on - putting the miles on my spin bike. When it hits 1000 miles, it starts over. It started over not long after the first of the year. So I’ve biked the distance to and from my sister’s house in Arizona this year. 😮
  • @BodyTalking My journal app is Day One. The free version allows one photo, but my daughter gave me the premium version which allows lots of photos, so when I go out for a walk I look for flowers or something else beautiful. It’s a bit of my gratitude journaling. I didn’t catch a mistake in the post @TerriRichardson112
  • I like the weigh less at the end of the month idea @TerriRichardson112 , maybe I’ll start doing that myself. Another habit I started in this group was journaling. I started by making it a tiny habit, only requiring one word. I switched over to an online journaling app, although I think a handwritten journal would be…
